Chapter 1365: Chapter 638: Star Key of Redemption
This arcane-web public education system, designed and rebuilt by all of us together, shall become a vital bridge that spans the rifts between races and carries forth the power of knowledge.
It will place in the hands of every living being the key to choosing their future, and to shaping the possibilities of the world.”
Reina stood at David’s side and nodded lightly, a gleam of wisdom shimmering in her eyes.
“Our technical teams have spent months in calibration. We have not only integrated the most advanced mechanical designs, but also woven in an arcane rune network, achieving intelligent adaptation and dynamically updated content.”
Her fingertip brushed the air, and on the holo-screen appeared scene after scene of knowledge being transmitted: children studying the paths of the stars in virtual classrooms;
the elderly receiving medical techniques through rune transmissions;
craftsmen swiftly mastering the principles of new inventions… All of it vivid and real, stirring the heart.
Among the council members, a humanoid Elf Elder in his seventies sat with a gentle smile. His silver hair fell loose like flowing water upon his shoulders, and his deep blue eyes were as profound as an ancient lake.
“This is the spring of wisdom and civilization bursting forth once more; it is our shared, most beautiful vow to the future.
I look forward to seeing the light of knowledge pierce the Mist, so that misunderstanding and strife may vanish like smoke.”
In the blink of an eye, the focus of the meeting shifted to ecological revival and social integration.
Cynthia stepped into the council hall, still clad in her silver-blue Battle Armor, yet there was a newfound softness between her brows.
“The Ecological Balance Department has already promoted the establishment of the first mixed Beastmen–Elf residential pilot community—’Green Vine New Village.'”
Her voice was resonant yet gentle. “This is an important attempt at cross-racial cooperation, and a cornerstone for realizing shared prosperity across realms.”
Applause sounded again and again in the chamber, but above all there was expectation.
As Cynthia described ‘Green Vine New Village’, it was as if people beheld a living, many-hued scroll of a new world: in broad woodlands, timber dwellings rose in perfect harmony with nature;
Elf Mages used star-patterned arcane arts to water saplings into flourishing growth;
Beastman Soldiers guarded the safety of the borders and also took part in day-to-day community administration…
The cultures of the two races wove together into a radiant tapestry, jointly composing a new chapter of peace and prosperity.
A young Beastman representative spoke with fervor: “I never imagined we could truly enter into each other’s lives, and stand together to guard this land.
I’m willing to use my own two hands to raise an unbreakable line of defense for this home!”
On the other side, a human scholar added in a low voice, “This is the irreversible tide of civilizational progress. Every moment of awkwardness and adjustment is worth cherishing, for it is giving birth to an even more indestructible alliance.”
As they spoke, the atmosphere in the hall grew ever more focused and unified.
For a time, countless gazes converged upon David, drawn to that steady, confident presence that gathered all wills into one.
He bowed his head slightly in thought for a moment, then slowly began to speak: “I have journeyed through many perils, and witnessed countless cataclysms with my own eyes.
Yet what truly made me believe that the ‘Era of Mortals’ has arrived, was seeing every ordinary person stand straight in the storm and turmoil, writing the future with their own will.”
As he spoke, dawn’s glow appeared not far beyond the window. The bay of New Rainbow Bridge harbor surged in grandeur, as steam airships rose one after another, like iron‑winged giant birds cleaving the morning light.
This city was greeting the dawn in a new posture—and dawn itself spoke of hope, defiance, and remaking.
As time went on, these stories gradually entered the daily lives of common folk. Passed from mouth to mouth, they portrayed David as that “star‑veiled, moon‑crowned” guide.
He roamed through every corner, fearing neither hardship nor danger, seeking only truth, and lighting the way for those who were lost.
When children played, they told his Legend; when elders recounted family histories, they mentioned his name, shining like a lighthouse upon the deepest places of the heart.
In the alleys, an old woman, her voice trembling, whispered, “When darkness covered heaven and earth, it was he who awakened the sleeping stars and let us see the first light of dawn.”
A young blacksmith, hammering upon his anvil, muttered, “He said that as long as there is a fire in your heart, even the coldest, longest night can be lit.”
A vendor in the marketplace, eyes firm, told a neighbor, “He taught me unity and courage—that is how destiny truly falls into our own hands!”
Meanwhile, every corner of New Rainbow Bridge City began to burst with vitality: the old districts were fully restored, new roads laid broad and smooth;
mechanical workshops labored day and night to produce more devices for everyday convenience;
before the gates of the academies, more and more young people of different races gathered, exchanging skills and sharing learning resources…
Cynthia visited ‘Green Vine New Village’ and saw children playing along tree‑shaded paths. A rare smile surfaced upon her face, a smile like warm sunlight melting Ice and Snow.
“This place will become a symbol of peace, and a model for the coexistence of all beings.”
She murmured softly, even as she made a silent resolve to turn this place into a paradise for all who dare to dream.
Night fell. New Rainbow Bridge City blazed with lights, brilliant as day.
From the high towers, the endless river of stars stretched out in grandeur, mirroring the sea of lights below.
The mellow, lingering notes of a hidden organ began to flow quietly through the streets and alleys, drawing passersby to pause and listen. That melody carried an unyielding pursuit of a better life to come, and the truest respect for the martyrs who had given their Sacrifice in days past.
At this moment, in a quiet study, David sat alone upon a carved wooden chair.
He toyed with the phase dagger in his hand, its ghostly blue ripples reflecting the smoke‑choked years of war gone by.
The corners of his lips curved upward, tinged with a certain wistfulness. “The Era of Mortals begins here…”
His voice was low, yet it echoed out into the cold night beyond the window, merging with the stars to become part of an eternal oath.
The Mouth of the Abyss, seventy‑fourth seal node.
Here seemed the darkest corner between heaven and earth. Endless void yawned like an unseen Giant Beast, opening a bloody maw to devour light and order.
