The forces of the Nightmare and Abyss initially held the upper hand against Nora, causing significant casualties among their ranks. However, the tide turned dramatically as the Dusk Palace Master began systematically eliminating high-level enemy monarchs and demon kings. Recognizing the crumbling battlefield and the sudden withdrawal of the Abyss, the Nightmare leadership was forced to call for a retreat to preserve their strength. With the enemy forces scattered, the Supreme Council launched a decisive counterattack, shifting the fate of the civilization.

A voice transmission was sent to the Ignorant Monarch:

"We shall combine our efforts to push back Edmund, then split our paths to escape."

In response, the Ignorant Monarch gave a nod:

"Agreed."

As two of the Four Emperors, recognized as quasi-Supreme powerhouses, neither believed they would truly face annihilation. Even if they suffered a tactical defeat, they felt confident in slipping away to return to the Nightmare.

The Lost Monarch’s form erupted with maze-like patterns, radiating outward in every direction. The intensity of its technique was so lethal that any Early Stage Level 10 entity unable to dodge would certainly meet its end.

Simultaneously, the Ignorant Monarch unleashed its full potential, delivering a strike of absolute devastation.

Boom! The two Emperors launched their desperate counterattack in unison!

Caught off guard, Edmund, who had yet to reveal his true form, was forced to momentarily evade their lethal strikes.

The Ignorant Monarch and the Lost Monarch seized the chance to retreat.

Ignoring the Ignorant Monarch entirely, Edmund locked his gaze onto the Lost Monarch.

Suddenly, Hera dropped from the Death Throne, wielding a blade shaped like a shark's tooth.

She struck with immense ferocity, turning back time and space while the aura of death enveloped the area.

Such was the power of one of the three most formidable supreme treasures possessed by the Pan-Plane!

The Lost Monarch found its movements frozen for a single, critical breath.

Though the delay was brief, it proved fatal.

Edmund struck once more, and a giant sun spanning ten thousand miles descended from the firmament!

"Curse you! Why must it be me!"

The Lost Monarch hissed, having no choice but to brace for the impact.

"Ignorant, provide cover, quickly!"

Repeated transmissions went ignored, meeting only deafening silence.

The Ignorant Monarch had already vanished from the combat zone, pausing only to glance back.

"With Edmund and Hera closing in, the Lost Monarch’s fate is sealed. Is it possible that the Four Emperors, supposedly eternal and undying, are destined to fall here in Nora?"

It let out a sigh, its shadow flickering as it slipped away back into the Nightmare.

Offering aid was impossible; the battlefield in Nora had become a deathtrap.

Besides, it had recently consulted the Wisdom Tablet.

The tablet’s warning was clear: [If a man does not prioritize his own survival, both heaven and earth shall be his tomb!]

The message was unmistakable: attempting to rescue the Lost Monarch for the sake of the greater mission would result in its own death!

Forget the greater good. As long as I survive, nothing else matters.

By the time the Lost Monarch signaled its retreat, merely thirty monarchs managed to escape thanks to their hidden trump cards and unique abilities, successfully returning to the Nightmare.

Fifty monarchs, including the Lost Monarch, remained trapped in Nora, surrounded by forces twice their number. They thrashed like caged beasts, with neither side able to spare attention for the other.

The tide of the conflict shifted in an instant.

Levi, the architect of this chaos, was already calculating his next objective.

"The situation here is now under control, so I am no longer vital. My priority is to return to Nora and eliminate the Lord of Earthquakes before it can flee."

...

Nora.

The Arena of Heavenly Gods.

Following a volley of sixteen Intersecting Light Cannons, the dust finally settled.

On the blood-soaked ground, three mangled corpses lay in the wake of their defeat.

"Supreme will..." the Bo Ruo Saint King whispered, his eyes dimming as consciousness escaped him. Even in his final moments, his patron god offered no salvation.

Their true souls drifted within the confines of the Heavenly Gods' Arena.

It was not until Leon arrived, mounted on a Hell Warhorse, that their remains were collected.

"My thanks, sir."

"Think nothing of it."

Herman watched as the Heavenly Machine slowly began to disintegrate.

Madison’s voice echoed clearly within his mind.

"My power for this divine descent is depleted. You may summon me again in a century. I hope you will be significantly stronger by then."

"Thank you, senior. I have收获 a great deal during this time."

Herman’s gaze grew profound as he sensed the residual divine power fading away.

Within a single universe, time flows uniformly.

Yet, across separate universes, such consistency is not guaranteed.

Although it appeared his mind had been absent from Nora for a mere eighty years, he had actually lived through a full millennium within the Heavenly God Universe! Had he not, his recent promotion to Level 9 would have made sustaining the cost of the "Mechanical Divine Descent" impossible.

Naturally, for a "Conscious Immortal" like him, so long as the Sky Net persists and his machinery remains, he is essentially unkillable.

The concept of a lifespan holds no meaning to him.

This is the distinct advantage possessed by the Mechanical School.

For any other individual, wasting a thousand years of life in an Otherworldly Universe would necessitate a reduction of nine centuries in their home dimension—an unacceptable sacrifice.

Indeed, besides him, no one else could reach the Heavenly God Universe.

Even if they could, the conflicting universal laws would prevent them from living or cultivating normally. Otherwise, one could easily exploit the time-dilation properties of these dual universes.

"I shall return to the Ancient Dragon Continent at once."

Victory in Nora is now inevitable, and the eradication of the Nightmare is simply a matter of time. This surreal odyssey had been a transformative experience for Herman.

From the sky, three golden leaves of peculiar design drifted down.

Herman summoned them using his Elementary Magnetic Field.

He inspected them closely, discovering three mysterious, divine symbols engraved on their surfaces: a giant elephant supporting the heavens, a Golden Peng crushing a dragon, and a Black Rhinoceros possessing peerless armor.

"This... these appear to be forged legendary artifacts for body refinement."

As a Mechanic, Herman had little use for such oddities, yet his extensive research surpassed that of average Grand Wizards.

"As the Hall Master described, the denizens of the Golden Sacred Realm are creatures brought forth by ancient trees using God’s Authority, and they invariably drop these oddities upon death."

"These artifacts, however, seem incomplete."

"I will leave them for Levi to study."

Having glimpsed the wonders of the Heavenly God Universe and attained immortality, Herman had transcended the petty concerns that occupied the rest of the world.

...

The Void surrounding Nora.

Levi observed the sinister wisps of demonic aura rising from the parched earth.

He felt the loss of countless lives. While Nora had secured the victory, the cost was staggering. The destructive scale of a Level 10 conflict was catastrophic; had this occurred before the Great Convergence, Nora would have suffered total disintegration, leaving behind nothing but a shattered wasteland.

Leveraging intelligence from the Mechanical Sky Net, he had successfully pinpointed the location of the Lord of Earthquakes. Thousands of the Shadow Army had advanced, and though many fell, the survivors remained at Level 6.
