Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 3012: 615: Fall of the Seven Sins, Downfall of the Four Emperors!
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
In the Land of Darkness.
Initially, the Nightmare Monarchs and demons maintained the advantage by leveraging their sheer numerical superiority.
They successfully surrounded Nora’s level 10 combatants, resulting in the demise of the Sky Light Empress, while the Bronze Warlord and Chaotic Heaven Saint sustained grievous injuries, and others were left battered.
Standard logic dictated that Nora’s total collapse was imminent.
Numerous lords and monarchs were already quietly celebrating, simultaneously calculating how to undercut their peers to secure the spoils for themselves.
However, as time ticked away.
The masters of the Abyss and Nightmare sides began to sense that something was fundamentally wrong.
In the shadowed reaches of the battlefield, the presence of level 10 powerhouses would intermittently flicker and fade away, a process that showed no sign of stopping.
Increasingly, Nora’s reinforcements were disrupting their lines. An unseen reaper was eliminating their level 10s with terrifying efficiency!
It was the Dusk Palace Master!
Following the failure of the Four Great Calamities' encirclement, this individual—technically at the Early Stage level 10 but wielding Peak Battle Power—had roamed entirely unchecked.
He was methodically dismantling the forces of the Nightmare Abyss.
Observant eyes finally realized the truth behind the battlefield status in the Land of Darkness.
Six Nightmare Monarchs had perished: the Four Great Calamities, the Black Cave Spider Mother, and the Sealed Sovereign.
Seven level 10 demons had been slain: Prince Thunder, the Azure Steel Demon King, the Skyfire Monarch, and four other elemental kings.
Every one of these losses was the direct result of the Dusk Palace Master’s actions.
This had been the Supreme Council's grand strategy all along.
By leveraging Nora's total strength to facilitate the Dusk Palace Master’s hunt, everyone else willingly occupied the role of support performers, occupying the enemy's strongest level 10s to clear his path.
In essence, this entire faction had voluntarily entrusted an entire war, which would determine the fate of a quasi-Giant civilization, into the hands of a single person!
Had the Dusk Palace Master faltered in his duty, the outcome would have been catastrophic. Clearly, they possessed absolute faith in his capabilities!
On the front lines.
The disparity between the two sides was shrinking, and the tide of battle was no longer shifting in favor of the Nightmare forces.
The Lost Monarch and other high-ranking entities were already debating how to secure their escape.
The Nightmare had commenced this offensive with overwhelming momentum, deploying over a hundred monarchs, two Four Emperors, and six demon lords, even forging a pact with the Abyss.
To return home decimated after such a grand display was humiliating.
They feared the ridicule of all entities across the Multidimensional Plane.
While the Lost Monarch remained indecisive.
The succubus queen, having fulfilled her secret directive, suddenly unleashed a desperate, earth-shaking strike that sent shockwaves for a million miles, forcing Death Thorn Hera to back away.
Displaying signs of fatigue and spitting blood, she stared at the Dusk Palace Master with raw, murderous malice, her usual seductive allure completely replaced by rage.
The field understood instantly—the succubus queen was truly furious!
The Queen’s cold, echoing voice rang out: "I shall return! Dusk Palace Master, enjoy your moment, but at our next meeting, you will die!"
In an instant, she blinked out of existence.
Hera remained motionless, momentarily stunned.
Throughout the duel, she sensed that the queen had been holding back her true strength until that final, desperate blow.
"What is happening?"
Although an ally to Nora, the succubus queen’s double-agent status was a secret known to very few, and Hera was not privy to it.
The depth of the queen's agenda remained a mystery to her.
More than forty demon lords still occupied the field, and witnessing the Dusk Palace Master’s slaughter of the demon kings, their morale had completely shattered.
With the order to retreat issued, they broke ranks and dispersed.
The reality was that the Abyss had started with sixty level 10 demons, but many had wandered into Nora to sow chaos, while others had been scared away earlier by Levi.
This lack of discipline had ironically allowed Nora to survive this long.
Across the field.
The Nightmare side, once boasting over a hundred level 10s, was now reduced to roughly 80 after accounting for deaths and desertions.
The withdrawal of the Abyss freed up over forty Nora and Underworld powers.
The advantage had completely flipped.
Edmund projected his will across the entire army:
"The demons are fleeing. Cease pursuit to avoid an Abyss ambush. Focus all power on encircling the remaining Nightmare Monarchs!"
"The counter-attack begins now!"
The 120 powerhouses surged toward the remaining Nightmare fronts, hearts brimming with a newfound resolve, stunned by the sudden collapse of the Abyss.
"The power of the Dusk Palace Master is truly apocalyptic!"
"Charge! Deal the finishing blow to the Nightmare!"
The Nine Death Swordsman signaled the Nether Emperors:
"We are past the point of reconciliation with the Nightmare. Do not hesitate—eliminate them. They are no longer a threat!"
Mounted on their warhorses and moving via the Underworld Source River, the Nether Emperors mobilized rapidly, cutting off the escape routes of the Nightmare Monarchs.
Witnessing the slaughter, the Lost Monarch and Ignorant Monarch were consumed by conflicting emotions: rage, frustration, and eventual resignation. They understood that the situation was irredeemable.
Nora would not fall today.
The Nightmare might never find such an opening again.
As a Giant realm, they could not commit their entire force without leaving their own borders vulnerable to other Giants.
One hundred was the absolute limit they could afford to lose.
Now, they had to prioritize the preservation of their surviving forces.
In the worst-case scenario, Nora would simply rise as the fifth Giant realm.
With that sobering realization, the Lost Monarch sent the final order: "Retreat! All forces, retreat! Abandon the field immediately!"
