Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2912: 591: Grey Mist Monarch Falls!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Levi engaged in a brutal battle against the Gray Mist Monarch, a level-10 mid-stage powerhouse whose misty form and tentacles proved nearly impossible to destroy, even as Levi's Blood Battle Spirit pierced its head. Dodging relentless assaults, Levi uncovered a hidden spatial rift in the Monarch's domain and unleashed devastating spells, including the Decomposition Technique, shattering the barrier and causing the gray mist to collapse into the void. As the Monarch attempted to flee, Levi struck a glancing blow with layered Holy Domain Power, but the entity dispersed into the darkness—only for an inexplicable force to reverse time and draw the mist back, invoking the dread name of Void Holy Seat Hera.

At this moment, it's hard to say who's more powerful, the Grand Council Chairman or her.

Regardless, she undoubtedly possesses Peak Level 10 Power, strong enough to employ time-reversal techniques that revive even a Level 10 Middle Stage being who's already escaped.

Levi believes she could be stepping into Level 11 as well.

Even as a woman, she commands the second biggest transcendent power across the Pan-Plane, trailing only Nora, with an influence rivaling the Council of Ten Thousand Clans in its prime.

She's present, yet her location remains a mystery.

Levi feels deep intrigue toward this enigmatic woman. When it comes to fame, the once reserved Grand Council Chairman pales beside Hera.

Flash back to three breaths earlier.

The Grey Mist Monarch bellowed:

"Don't get too arrogant; someone will handle you!"

It had uttered those words moments before and understood that, yet under the overwhelming force of time reversal, it parroted them mechanically like some automaton.

Buzz! A dark throne forged from bones materialized, enveloped in a profound aura of death, where a bold female swordswoman with flowing golden hair perched cross-legged, clad in gleaming armor.

She exuded assurance, flair, and unyielding authority!

"Who exactly do you believe... can take me on?"

By now, the time-reversal effect had faded; the Grey Mist Monarch shifted into swirling misty tendrils, lunging at the throne's occupant, halting mere inches from Hera.

The Grey Mist Monarch's assault fell short, and it sneered with icy disdain: "Looks like the Nightmare World has stayed dormant far too long; you native powers of the Pan-Plane have forgotten to respect us. Let me go, or the Void Holy Temple will lie in ruins before a century passes!"

Boom!

Hera seized the empty air, summoning a colossal hand of death energy spanning a hundred thousand miles that crashed down, causing Levi's gaze to flicker in awe.

"Should that blow connect with the Blood Battle Armor, the outcome would be unthinkable... Hera's power has surged, or truthfully, it was always this immense. Much like the Grand Council Chairman, she'd concealed her true might, but with the era shifting—Nora's rebellion, Shadows' meddling, new heroes emerging—she's cast off that veil."

He couldn't fathom why Hera aided him. But attacking the Nightmare Monarch right then was a bold provocation to the Nightmare World. Could a figure of Hera's stature truly seek alliance with Nora?

"Excellent, excellent!" The Grey Mist Monarch refused to yield passively; its vaporous body morphed into a massive gray blade, slicing toward the enormous hand!

Yet the blade shattered like rotten timber.

"Detonate!"

The Grey Mist Monarch burst apart, its explosive force compelling Hera to dodge momentarily.

She chuckled: "What daring, to sever your own tail for a shot at survival so boldly."

"Hera! The Multidimensional Plane holds no room for your Void Holy Tower anymore!" A surge of mist rocketed away, on the verge of merging into the void.

Hera held back from pursuit, as a radiant starry stream, vast as thirty thousand miles and resembling a galactic river, surged from the horizon to swallow the fleeing mist.

Levi felt a subtle jolt.

"That... is Sword Qi."

The Grey Mist Monarch's wail faded into the Sword Qi, its core soul slipping into the emptiness, glaring at the group with venom: "All of you will perish!"

Hera moved to reclaim it when the Underworld Source River poured from the void, a Hell Warhorse galloping across its currents, golden light pulverizing the soul into fragments.

Astride the horse stood a diminutive three-inch form in golden armor.

"So it's him," Hera thought to herself, unperturbed.

In this way, a Level 10 Middle Stage Nightmare Monarch, notoriously difficult to eliminate, met its end and vanished utterly, denied any path to rebirth or revival.

Leon hauled his prize back to Levi, stirring a twinge in Levi's chest—this bold kid daring to claim Hera's kill... If she demands it, it's no fault of Dragon King Li's.

"Master, I discovered this within its core soul." Leon presented a gray orb to Levi right before Hera.

"This should go to Senior Hera; hand it over to her," Levi urged swiftly.

Hera dismissed it with a wave: "It holds no value for me."

Meanwhile, atop the eternal Ten Thousand Miles of Sword Qi River, a massive figure emerged, bare-chested and towering ten thousand meters high.

It boasted twenty-four limbs, each gripping a blade.

Levi recalled tales of this being.

Star Sky Sword Saint Davis, sixth mightiest in the Pan-Plane, a solitary wanderer from the Arm Shura clan, placing behind the Amethyst Saint, at Level 10 Late Stage.

It wielded the legendary artifact [Autumn Water], twelfth in rank—a supreme treasure of twenty-four sword cores, peerless in lethal sword prowess!

From what Levi knew, the Star Sky Sword Saint hadn't surfaced in thousands of years and held no ties to the Void Holy Temple. Teaming with Hera now suggested recruitment into their ranks.

"My deepest gratitude to Seniors Hera and Davis for your aid."

Levi offered a respectful bow to them both.

The Star Sky Sword Saint sized up Levi.

"Rumors say you're adept with sword techniques as well?"

"I only grasp the basics, far unworthy of matching seniors."

"Spare the humility; once you hit Level 10, we spar and share insights on sword arts, perhaps shattering the Level 9 barriers."

"Very well."

Hera explained: "We didn't save you from duty. Given your strength, that Grey Mist Monarch couldn't end you... It was stirring endless chaos in our domain, acting with such hubris, scorning my Void Holy Temple."

Levi replied with a helpless tone:

"These colossal realms have long despised us. Seniors, you've struck a fine blow by slaying it! Yet provoking the Nightmare World—aren't you concerned about retaliation?"

The Star Sky Sword Saint boomed with laughter:

"Naturally, worry gnaws at us, but we can't cower eternally. The Pan-Plane breeds its share of valiant souls; it's not solely you and Nora."
