Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2810: 574: Darling, Kill for Me! Battle at Level-10 Again!
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
"It is truly remarkable; only a Daydreamer could single-handedly forge such a spiritual Demiplane existing between the boundaries of illusion and reality."
"Indeed. However, why are there metallic birds soaring through the firmament?"
"Where? Show me."
"They appear to be Mechanical Creatures, do they not? It is hardly a surprise."
"Not necessarily."
Once the group had finished gathering, Levi arrived to inspect the Legendary Wizard Demiplane. He watched the aircraft passing above with a contemplative expression. He wondered if this Daydreamer was perhaps a fellow countryman, another soul originating from a different universe.
"While I was imprisoned within the Lost Monarch, I inherited the memories of a departed 'Lost' individual," the Legendary Wizard explained calmly as he manifested. "My findings suggest he was not a being native to the Multidimensional Plane. I incorporated many of those whimsical concepts when I constructed this Demiplane."
"I understand," Levi replied, his thoughts remaining guarded.
If the "mirage" served as a junction where various universes occasionally intersected, the appearance of a few "transmigrators" over the vast eons was to be expected.
...
Ancient Banyan Fairyland.
Activity buzzed everywhere as the Three Realms were officially established.
Within the Heavenly Realm, majestic islands floated high while dragons soared and phoenixes performed their dances. The Stepping Star Pegasus, which Levi had acquired during a past journey, now galloped through the clouds, having reached the caliber of a level 6 entity.
"A true human fairyland," Levi thought to himself in admiration.
The human realm was equally impressive. The Dragon Palace, Demon Country, Cave Heaven Blessed Lands, and various overseas territories were abundant, evoking the primal wilderness described in the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
Charming little fairies and elegant pharmacist witches moved between resource nodes, joyfully tending to their harvests.
Deep in the Earth Realm, the heroic spirits of the Ten Halls maintained the order of the Ghost Mansion. They commanded an army of immortals, drilling them relentlessly day and night to ensure they were prepared for any Nightmare Army incursion.
Standing beside Levi with her arms crossed, Mana asked proudly, "Well? Does this version of the Three Realms satisfy your requirements, my Hall Master?"
"It is excellent, truly very good," Levi affirmed.
"That is a relief. I finally feel like the World Tree should," Mana replied before returning to the banyan tree. This God of Creation then resumed her daily routine of playing Mahjong.
No Hidden Heaven.
Seated upon the Nightmare Emperor Throne, Levi examined the texts written by the Daydreamer, carefully sensing the essence of Fear Power and the Nightmare.
He intended to follow the example of the Shadow Dragon Group’s Shadow World, using spells to forge a portable Dreamscape that could contain Nightmare Creatures.
Abruptly, a crimson horizontal slit tore open on his forehead. Within the Deep Red Eyes, a vision of unending golden sands appeared. Inside a distant temple, the phantoms of a humanoid and a bull-shaped creature lay resting, radiating waves of malicious intent.
"A level-10 Temple... likely an inhabitant of the astral world. Using a bull as a mount and harboring a direct grudge against me... it must be the Dusk Sun God, a descendant of the Heavenly Father and a newly ascended Weak God."
Levi remained calm, showing no signs of intimidation.
This Artu was likely at the bottom tier of level-10 standards, comparable to the demon lords ruling the first two hundred layers of the Abyss. He was certainly no stronger than Isolde.
"Once I confirm the coordinates of that location, I shall pay you a visit."
Having sensed the threat, Levi had no intention of waiting. He planned to make thorough preparations, aiming for the feat of slaying a god while still possessing a level 9 body.
...
Two years passed.
Nora Year 1602, the 1490th year of the Blood Battle.
The Nightmare Black Dragon Territory remained peaceful. Since the invasion force commanded by the Devouring Sky Demon Lord had yet to arrive, the atmosphere felt like the deceptive silence before a hurricane.
Nightmare Command Center.
Levi, alongside the Lord of the End and several Legendary Wizards and Grand Wizards skilled in divination, worked to forecast the movements of the monarchs.
As the Deep Red Eyes detected a rising level-10 animosity, Levi estimated that an alliance of 12 Nightmare Monarchs had formed. However, because the elites of the Nightmare World are masters of anti-divination and possess sharp perceptions, this intelligence might be flawed.
The Daydreamer had already obliterated every spatial node discovered within the Dreamland Steeple. With Levi's assistance, the Shadow School of Thought established a fortification in the Ashen World to block the Nightmare Army from invading through that flank.
The preparations for war continued systematically.
...
In a flash, ten years slipped away.
Nora Calendar 1612, marking the 1500th year of the Blood Battle!
The whole of Nora was braced for conflict, yet neither the Nightmare nor the Abyss had launched an invasion yet.
Nevertheless, the scouts Levi stationed in the Nightmare World reported that massive conscriptions were occurring across more than ten Big Domains. The gathering flood of Nightmare Creatures was just as formidable as the momentum seen during past Blood Battles.
According to simulations run by the Snake of the End, the dreaded Lost Monarch was very likely to participate in the Nora campaign this time. The Daydreamer would no longer need to hunt for the Lost Monarch to force a confrontation.
...
Land of Darkness.
After hearing the latest reports from the front, Pazuzu couldn't help but grumble, "Is the Nightmare World actually going to initiate the fight or not?"
The demons were prepared to watch the chaos unfold, but the Nightmare World had produced only loud thunder without any rain—not even a single probing strike had occurred.
"Perhaps we should suggest an alliance to the Emperor of Slumber?" the Shadow Demon Queen proposed.
"Not yet. The monarchs of the Nightmare World are manipulative and treacherous. There is no gain in an alliance with them. It is not as if we cannot conquer Nora on our own."
"Commander, do you suspect the Nightmare World is waiting for us to strike first so they can reap the rewards?"
"It is highly probable, but we will not give them the satisfaction. We shall let them lead the charge, and we will move in to harvest the spoils afterward... They spend their days dreaming of fishing in troubled waters. If we hadn't been locked in that brutal struggle with Hell and the Underworld back then, how could that brat from the Nightmare have ever risen to power?"
