Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2808: 574: Please, Baby, Kill! Another Battle at Level-10!

Across the Continent.
Within the walls of a particular manor.
The Golden Walker was enjoying a cup of tea while leisurely skimming the newspaper when a sudden burst of Holy Light nearly blinded him. His gaze drifted toward the heavens, and his features slowly slackened into a dazed stupor.
"Ma... Mother."
Boom! A crackle of Golden Lightning detonated within his consciousness, jolting the Golden Walker back to reality. He swallowed a large mouthful of tea, utilizing his dense Qi to stabilize his fractured focus.
"According to Article Seven of the Travel Star Realm Manual: One must never look directly upon a God. Deities as formidable as the Holy Mother, who wields the divine authority of [Motherhood], are not to be stared at. Even a passive, subconscious emission of her divine power is enough to momentarily entrance a Ninth-Circle Wizard like myself."
Fortunately, the path of a Wizard emphasizes the tempering of spiritual force, granting them significant resilience against such divine influence. Had it been any other Level 9 alien race, their awakening would not have been so certain.
In a different mansion nearby.
The Green Demon, a recent breakthrough to Level 9, was incessantly wailing "Mother" toward the maternal silhouette atop the Heavenly Steps. He continued until his brother, the Green Ghost, found him and delivered a sharp slap to his face, growling in frustration: "Open your eyes! That is not our mother!"
As a Level 9 Middle Stage expert, the Green Ghost had managed to regain his senses much faster.
At the Nightmare Command Center.
Levi watched the distant figure with a grim and heavy expression.
That invisible pressure of divine power failed to move him. If he possessed the necessary Cultivation, he would have already unsheathed the Crimson Dragon Slash to run that woman through.
"What a show-off," Levi grumbled to himself.
As if picking up on Levi's palpable animosity, the Holy Mother ignored Mr. Emmon for a moment and shifted her gaze toward Levi instead.
Levi did not flinch; he met her eyes directly, his vision seemingly piercing through her starlight silk robes to see her true form inside and out.
For a fleeting moment, Levi’s thoughts drifted to Sauron. Considering the legendary allure of the Holy Mother, he wondered if the "Tian Boguang" of the Wizard World had ever managed to get a taste.
The Holy Mother was certainly aware of Levi’s identity.
Following a thorough investigation, she had realized this youth had actually matured within the territories of the Heavenly Father Church. She often felt a pang of regret for not eradicating him years ago. Now that Levi had reached his full potential, taking action against him had become an arduous task.
However, today’s business did not involve Levi.
The Holy Mother offered Mr. Emmon a gentle smile, her voice soft and melodic: "Sir, I have come today to propose a mutually beneficial trade."
With a flick of her wrist, an ancient longsword manifested in her palm. It pulsed with a searing heat and brilliant Divine Light that caused the fabric of space to warp—a clearly peerless artifact.
"This grand treasure is the [Burning Sun Ancient Sword]. It was crafted by the Sun King, a Level 10 powerhouse of the Multidimensional Plane from the ancient era. After he committed blasphemy against the True Sun God, he was struck down by Edmund’s divine power. To my knowledge, this weapon sits at the 30th rank of the Pan-Plane Supreme Treasure list. It is a masterpiece of the highest caliber, and I offer it today as a testament to my sincerity."
Her voice was as soothing as a warm spring breeze.
Mr. Emmon didn't even glance at the artifact. In a voice just as polite, he asked: "Fair Lady Mei Sha, what is the price you expect me to pay?"
Mei Sha was the true name of the Mother of Earth. Typically, only those of equivalent status dared to use her true name; others were relegated to using her Divine Name.
The Holy Mother took no offense, merely smiling in response:
"Sir, simply deliver the Snake of the End to me. That creature once devoured billions of living souls and committed unspeakable crimes. It even went so far as to swallow my divine son while he was still in his cradle—an act so vile that the Heavens themselves cannot permit it!"
"You disgusting hag! You accuse me while being the personification of evil yourself!"
The Snake of the End had appeared behind Mr. Emmon at some point. Now reduced in size, it flicked its tongue and hissed out curses.
When bitter rivals clash, sparks fly. The Holy Mother’s eyes turned freezing cold as she stared at the snake, though she maintained her composure:
"Your lies will not deceive the masses. A God does not speak falsehoods."
Other Legendary Wizards began to manifest around Mr. Emmon, subtly forming a defensive perimeter around the Snake of the End. Gullwig stood there with a face like ice, looking as though she wanted nothing more than to cut the old woman down.
During her mortal years, she too had suffered under the Church of Earth. She felt nothing but contempt for the pair known as the Heavenly Father and the Mother of Earth.
Furthermore, her temperament was as sharp and unforgiving as a mountain glacier, unlike the ever-affable Mr. Emmon.
Levi, meanwhile, was barely paying attention to the argument. His eyes kept "accidentally" drifting toward the ancient sword in the Holy Mother’s hand.
The style and craftsmanship reminded him of a Level 7 Treasure he had seen before—the [Sun King’s Sword], which he had looted from the Arrogance General in the Nightmare World’s Seven Sins City. That blade was currently sitting in his organization's vault.
"To think the Sun King forged another supreme treasure. Strangely, I feel this item is destined for my hands... no, I should focus on the present."
Levi coveted every treasure he saw, though he knew he lacked the current strength to take it. He was also confident that Mr. Emmon would never surrender the Snake of the End.
First, the Nora Council valued its reputation and would not go back on its word.
Secondly, the Snake of the End held immense strategic value for the coming conflicts against the demons and the Nightmare. It was worth more than ten supreme treasures!
If utilized correctly, this snake could ensure Nora achieved victory with minimal loss of life and chaos.
The Snake of the End tried to defend itself further, but Mr. Emmon raised a hand to silence it. He looked calmly at the Holy Mother and spoke without a hint of doubt:
"I am sorry, but this transaction is impossible."
"And why is that? Is the supreme treasure not to your liking?"
"The treasure is magnificent. However, the Nora Council does not sell out its comrades."
"Comrades? Do not make me laugh, Mr. Emmon. Wizards are notoriously driven by self-interest and gain. Furthermore, those of a different species can never truly share the same heart. Do you really believe a snake is your comrade? Even if it serves a purpose now, will you still claim it as a comrade once the war has ended?"
