Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2784: 570: Ancient Times, Mythical Origin, Secret of the Insects!

The astral world serves as the residence for All Gods.
To the majority of lifeforms residing within the Multidimensional Plane, this realm is perceived as sacred, selfless, and overflowing with compassion... and to a certain degree, that assessment is accurate.
Levi harbors his own prejudices against these Gods for various reasons. Nevertheless, after trekking through numerous corners of the Multidimensional Plane, he must concede that the astral world acts as a genuine sanctuary for many of the weaker civilizations.
This phenomenon doesn't stem from the inherent nobility of the astral world's gods; rather, their specific path to power demands that they protect more people. By doing so, they gain the support and belief necessary to sustain themselves, allowing them to achieve greater authority and longevity!
Conversely, for civilizations that have no need for such protection—like the wizards or the rising barbarian tribes—hostility toward the astral world is inevitable. Their differing perspectives and their own requirements for growth and expansion lead to unavoidable friction.
Fundamentally, every overt or covert conflict between civilizations since the Primordial Era can be traced back to self-interest, just as internal struggles within those civilizations do. It isn't a matter of morality, but rather a reflection of the sentiment: if one does not look out for oneself, Heaven and Earth will perish.
The Abyss and the Underworld.
The Nightmare and the astral world.
Order versus chaos.
The positive and the negative.Levi was beginning to grasp the underlying wisdom of the Land of Darkness.
Whether one looks at the Underworld or the astral world, they are essentially instruments utilized by the most powerful Primordial Spirit to maintain equilibrium among its own unstable elements.
Once these instruments were brought into existence, however, they did not always function exactly as originally intended. Still, as long as the general trajectory remains correct, the outcome is considered sufficient.
Following the Ancient Era, a delicate balance emerged among the Four Great Giants of the world, as they engaged in mutual checks and constant struggle.
In the epochs that followed, no other volatile factors—such as the "Abyss Worm" or the "Red and Black Mother"—appeared to threaten the stability of the Land of Darkness.
Even when minor instabilities did surface, they were quickly snuffed out by the Four Giant Worlds, who sought to protect their own vested interests.
In this way, the Land of Darkness and the four worlds established a mutually beneficial arrangement.
Levi inquired, "So, is the astral world also a type of 'Primordial Spirit' that sustains those so-called Gods who thrive on belief and incense?"
With a profound smile, the middle-aged man replied:
"You are half correct."
Levi immediately shifted into a posture of humble learning.
"What do you mean by that?"
The Heavenly Will, whose heart had remained detached since ancient times, could not help but feel a flicker of pride. This was likely because the future titan standing before him—who seemed to share a connection with Sauron—was seeking his guidance on matters of culture and knowledge.
He cleared his throat and explained:
"The astral world is indeed a 'Primordial Spirit' that has endured from the Primordial Era into the Ancient Era. Its true form is known as the 'Star Cluster Brain' or the 'Feast Beast.' Its designated role is that of the 'Fantasist.'
The Land of Darkness requires the astral world to mask the brutal reality exposed by the 'Red and Black Mother.' It prevents countless souls from spending their days in a state of meaningless, indescribable terror. Quite often, possessing too much knowledge is a burden. It is better to live in a haze, following the established routine of life."
As he spoke, the Heavenly Will grew emotional. Having uncovered many of the world's truths over the long eons, he eventually felt that struggling was pointless, leading him to adopt an ostrich-like mentality to numb his senses.
However, based on current clues, it appeared that Sauron had refused to surrender to fate. Even with the knowledge of so many previous failures, he had still arranged secret contingencies.
This might have been for his own advancement, or perhaps for Nora's sake. Regardless of the motive, the Heavenly Will now felt a sense of admiration for him.
Levi fell into deep thought, muttering to himself.
"Feast Beast, Star Cluster Brain... If that is the case, the entity this Primordial Spirit birthed to oppose the Nightmare World isn't the current All Gods, is it?"
The middle-aged man’s gaze grew distant as he recalled the past.
"Correct. All Gods are not original inhabitants of the astral world. The powerful beings actually produced by the astral world consist of only one lineage... the 'star beasts,' also known as 'Star God,' 'Star Saint,' or 'Star Language.'
During the early Ancient Times, every being beneath the heavens—be they humans, alien races, the various giant beasts, the Dragon Clan, or entities born of the Multidimensional Plane—was shielded by the radiance of the star beasts.
This allowed them to withstand the horrific influence of the Nightmare World. All sentient life sincerely believed in the Star God, offering prayers, blessings, and worship, which gave rise to the primitive rituals of faith and the original path of cultivation through belief.
These paths of belief still exist today, though they have been drastically diminished; most civilizations that walked this path have long since vanished.
This occurred partly because they failed to adapt to the process of natural selection, but more frequently because they were targeted by a group of parasitic entities. These parasites fragmented the star beasts, usurped the powers that originally belonged to them, and took their place. They continue to hunt down and wipe out any remaining star beast factions even now."
Levi noted, "And those parasites are the gods currently ruling the astral world."
"Yes. Since arriving in Nora, I have observed some of your combat recordings. You possess some familiarity with star beasts, don't you?"
"I do."
"That is good; it confirms that the surviving star beasts still exist, hidden away in realms that are difficult for us to locate."
"But the followers of the star beasts within the Multidimensional Plane are now so few they are almost non-existent. How can these star beasts continue to survive?"
