Graham obtains the corpses of two Epic Lava Dogs after they apparently fought to the death. He suspects a trap but dismisses it, believing the strength required is beyond anyone's capability to target him. Meanwhile, in the Imperial City, fierce aerial battles rage as the Federation forces engage infected creatures. The Dragon Knight and Griffin Knight fight valiantly, but the infected monsters prove resilient, though some succumb to the Federation's weaponry. Rein confronts a powerful fiend demon, engaging it with his 'High-Frequency Blade' in a destructive clash.

The Fiend Demon found itself in a state of extreme discomfort!

Even during its encounters ten thousand years prior with Goddess Matilda, it had never been so cornered.

"Roar!!!"

In response, the Fiend Demon let out a furious roar, unleashing a wave of translucent energy, visible to the naked eye, that surged outwards like a colossal tsunami.

This broad-range assault was clearly intended to shatter Rein's attack momentum and create an opening for a counterstrike.

However, Rein's form became a blur, vanishing from his previous position. He reappeared instantaneously to the Fiend Demon's right just as the sonic wave dissipated, his high-frequency blade once again arcing towards the monstrous entity!

This was the devastating combination of 'Shadow Shifting' and the 'High-Frequency Blade'!

Though the simultaneous execution of these skills exacted an immense toll on Rein's spiritual power and physical stamina, for the Fiend Demon, this was an almost insurmountable offensive.

Even Goddess Matilda, observing from the sidelines as the coalition's reserve, was momentarily transfixed by the astonishing display!

"So tenacious? That's truly strange!"

"Even a Full Moon Wizard, by all logical accounts, should be utterly depleted of both physical strength and spiritual power after executing the Full Moon Killing Move repeatedly in conjunction with Subspace Teleportation."

"How can he still possess such vigor?"

Goddess Matilda had witnessed several critical junctures where she prepared to intervene. Yet, each time, Rein managed to either regain control of the situation or narrowly evade the danger.

This forced Goddess Matilda to repeatedly suppress her urge to join the fray.

According to their arrangement, her role was strictly as backup, intended only for dire emergencies, and she was to act solely upon receiving a signal from Rein.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield.

Rein's objective was singular: before he could ascend to the Sun God Throne and fully command the power of the Divine Artifact, the Time Key, his primary goal was to contain the Fiend Demon before him.

His strategy involved systematically depleting the Fiend Demon's malevolent Qi, thereby weakening its combat capabilities and ultimately achieving a dismemberment at a opportune moment.

Despite the Fiend Demon's capacity to regenerate substantial amounts of malevolent Qi, this process was not instantaneous.

The replenishment of malevolent Qi demanded a considerable amount of time.

And time was precisely the resource Rein could least afford to waste.

His plan was to withdraw to the Floating City once the Fiend Demon was sufficiently contained, using a fraction of his lifespan to reinforce the existing seal.

Rein harbored a firm conviction that even without the aid of Divine Fragments, through his own dedicated cultivation, he could achieve that final breakthrough within a span of several years.

Having executed a series of skillful maneuvers, with both his physical and spiritual recovery at their zenith, he seized another opening. Wielding the high-frequency blade once more, he severed the Fiend Demon's fifth sharp appendage—a limb resembling a mantis's foreleg, but in reality, a transformed rib bone.

A small fissure appeared on the enormous, throbbing black heart.

...

High above the Shirendil Plateau, within the confines of the Floating City.

A scene of intense repair work was underway across every level, with the exception of the basement.

"Haleem, I heard the Fiend Demon's manifestation in the Imperial City has become active again; has a battle broken out?"

"That's correct, Moria. It's precisely what concerns me," Haleem replied, his brow furrowed.

Although the Imperial City boasted formidable high-level combatants such as Rein Throne and Goddess Matilda, the conflict remained exceptionally perilous.

Logically, the Ancient Goblin Floating City, a weapon of such immense power, ought to be deployed in this critical, world-altering battle.

"Do you believe Rein Throne's caution is excessive? At this juncture, shouldn't we unleash the Floating City and make the Fiend Demon experience our full might?" Haleem inquired, gesturing animatedly.

Moria, unaffected by Haleem's palpable excitement and eagerness for combat, found it quite understandable.

Initially, Moria had not anticipated that the president of the Federation Mechanical Research Institute, a leading figure in scientific advancement, would also possess a fervent passion for battle.

It was during their previous joint operation, piloting the King of Tyrannosaurs, that he first recognized this latent trait.

Naturally, this forthright nature did not impede their burgeoning friendship; on the contrary, it fostered a sense of deep trust, allowing him and Haleem to quickly become close companions.

Beyond their frequent collaborations on the intricacies of high-end mechanical device construction, they also engaged in profound discussions concerning strategic responses to combat scenarios.

"Um..." Just as Moria was about to offer his thoughts, a sudden sensation occurred!

Both individuals registered a subtle tremor beneath their feet, emanating from the metallic flooring.

This vibration was singular and fleeting!

While others might have dismissed it amidst the surrounding clamor of repair activities, both Moria and Haleem, being Dawn Wizards with exceptionally keen senses, immediately perceived that this tremor felt distinctly out of place.

The reason was simple: such a vibration could not possibly be produced by the mere dropping of ordinary heavy objects!

The impact of falling heavy items simply lacked the capacity to generate a tremor that would propagate throughout the entire Floating City, even if only slightly.Something seemed to emanate from the depths just now! They locked eyes, mirrored disbelief flashing between them. "Ascertain the situation below immediately," Haleem commanded the Wizard stationed on the control dais. "Understood, Lord Haleem." The Crystallization Wizard promptly initiated the deployment of the floating city's endoscope for an inspection. This method served as a physical investigation when a full witchcraft examination wasn't feasible. "This is bad! My Lords, the evil qi below has diminished; no, the Fiend Demon has vanished!" "The evil qi... it breached the basement wall on one side, creating an exit from the Floating City," the Crystallization Wizard exclaimed, aghast. "What?!"
