Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1624 - 561: Full Moon Wizard’s Combat Power (Part 3)

"Ssss!"
The black beam smashed through the two fleeting blood-red rays that blocked it for barely 0.2 seconds, slamming into the Devouring Snake’s avatar as it frantically twisted to avoid the hit.
Yet the Devouring Snake’s avatar loomed enormous, the biggest of the seven godly avatars that had come down. Even with its desperate maneuvers, the rear section of its body couldn't escape the black beam's impact.
"Zzzz~"
Instead of piercing straight through, the black beam spread like ink dumped into a vast pail of pure water, swiftly tainting the Devouring Snake's form.
"Hurry! Cut off your body!" the Nether Sea Goddess Hela urgently warned right away.
It seemed the advice worked well. The Devouring Snake gritted through the searing agony and chopped off the last hundred meters of its length, much like a lizard ditching its tail to escape death.
Oddly enough, once the detached tail smacked the ground, it sprang back to life, wriggling over to the Great Sage Tamriel's side like a huge ebony serpent, standing watch as a loyal guard.
"Curses! That Demon Power packs too much punch. Lacking demigod-level power, you'd get tainted in a flash," the Nether Sea Goddess Hela sneered.
Had they been able to send down a demigod-level avatar, this Fiend Demon would pose no real threat right now.
Their present state of revival simply wouldn't permit a descent at demigod strength.
Rein, observing from a distance, found himself frozen in shock by the unfolding events.
"Who would've thought a Divine Incarnation could get corrupted so easily—this Demon Power blend is truly a nightmare."
"Looks like the smartest move is to split apart this Demon Power..."
...
Right then, the battlefield shifted once more!
Failing to fully take down a Divine Incarnation with that blow, Tamriel appeared far from content, turning his gaze back toward the Nether Sea Goddess Hela.
"Be careful!"
The God of Hunting Luen bellowed, swiftly pulling back his massive bow to loose an arrow at the Goblin Sage Tamriel, apparently to throw off the incoming strike.
Yet the black beam streaked right by the arrow and burst from the staff with a sharp ’whoosh’.
Luen’s shot fell just a hair short!
The Nether Sea Goddess Hela’s stunning eyes flew wide, caught off guard by how effortlessly this assault fired off, complete with the power for back-to-back hits.
In that instant, as the black beam closed to mere inches, Hela dreaded she lacked the seconds to slice free and endure like the Devouring Snake had, leaving her avatar’s essence ripe for corruption.
The mere idea sent a chill racing through her core.
All at once!
A streak of dark silver gleam, moving too swiftly to track, smashed into the black beam just shy of striking Hela.
"Buzz Buzz!"
The divine avatars then spotted it—a whirling, quaking metal disc spinning at insane speeds.
Spanning more than ten meters across, the disc blocked for Hela like an unbreakable barrier.
Ripples of dark silver force flowed across the metal disc like liquid waves, defiantly resisting the packed black beam for a few tense seconds until both faded away into nothing...
Snapping back to focus, the Nether Sea Goddess Hela whipped her head toward the source of the dark silver metal disc.
Spotting the well-known figure, a tangle of emotions crossed Hela’s face.
In this dire mess, the sole being who could pull off her rescue was none other than the risen Full Moon Wizard Rein.
"You heretic, don’t imagine that pulling me from danger this once buys your forgiveness!" the Nether Sea Goddess Hela narrowed her lovely eyes and snapped coldly.
A faint smile tugged at Rein’s lips as he held his tongue, merely lifting his hand.
In a blink, one, then two, then three... up to five enormous dark silver metal discs materialized from nowhere before him.
With the seven divine avatars on high alert, bracing for counterattacks, Rein flung the five discs ahead, each tracing elegant curves aimed straight at the black vortex shield around the ancient Goblin Sage Tamriel.
"Szzz~Szzz~"
The first dark silver metal disc slashed viciously into the black vortex shield on impact. The barrier quaked wildly, yet it endured.
Then the second disc struck and carved in, pushing the shield to its breaking point, ultimately cleaving it more than halfway apart.
The Goblin Sage Tamriel hastily lifted his Black Crystal Staff, pouring a torrent of black energy into the vortex shield in a bid to shore up its defenses.
Still, Rein’s following dark silver metal discs arrived one after another, and with the combined slicing of all five, the black vortex shield—which had fended off the united onslaught from the seven divine incarnations—burst apart in a flash.
It crumbled like a block of soft tofu diced into fragments.
The Goblin Sage Tamriel’s own form got hacked into eight chunks right away.
Black energy writhed as if alive, attempting to pull itself back together, but in the very next moment, the earth undulated like a pond’s surface, and metallic walls engulfed the demon mist now divided into seven segments.
It swiftly morphed into a sturdy canister of gas, locked down tight.
Even as the canister shook with furious jolts, the encircling metal walls gripped it fast, creating hill-like bulges anchored deep into the third basement’s metal ground.
With everything settled, Rein pivoted and flashed a gentle grin at the stunned Nether Sea Goddess Hela before speaking:
"I didn’t rescue you; I merely... feared you’d end up in the Demon’s clutches."
Hmm?
The Nether Sea Goddess Hela’s brows knit together, baffled by Rein’s remark.
Aren’t those pretty much the same thing?
"It’s not the same since.... even if you fell..." Rein, catching on to Hela’s confusion, clarified with a grin.
"It ought to happen by my hand, to avoid any squandering....."
