Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1582 - 546: The Emperor’s Demise

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Hela pondered intervening against the Blasphemer but deferred to her allies' focus on eliminating the immediate threats before pursuing the human emperor, as their avatars weakened over time. Awe rippled through the Empire's ranks as Rein, transformed into a Dark Silver Dragon, unleashed the formidable Molten Core Flame secret technique—impossible for a single dragon—clashing fiercely with the God of Hunting Luen and leaving both gravely wounded. Luen, his aura intensifying despite the damage, proclaimed Rein his prey and struck with a Tearing Strike that pierced even Rein's Virtualization ability. As tension mounted, Rein distracted the god with a emerging Demon Tyrannosaurus while manifesting a fourth dragon head to amplify his fiery assault.

Let's turn back the clock by thirty seconds.

Amid the fierce clash hovering over the Imperial Palace.

Despite the arrival of the Red Dragon King Straz.

Despite the involvement of the peak Dawn Wizard Wockmas.

Still, the many mighty experts from the Empire's forces found themselves falling back against the might of the seven Divine incarnations. Right now, the battlefront had shifted down to the palace grounds, with the Divines seizing control once more.

Abruptly, all those gathered lifted their gazes toward the brilliant white glow and the mushroom cloud erupting in the sky!

"What is that..."

"That guy Luen really isn’t reliable." The Nether Sea Goddess Hela squinted her lovely eyes and remarked.

She had lost track of Luen’s aura entirely.

Evidently, he had perished in that latest assault.

Yet, that Blasphemer was proving tougher to handle by the moment. Who would have thought he possessed the strength for an attack of such magnitude?

"This kind of might—it's already at the Demigod level energy surge!" declared Evil God Grek, clad in golden armor with his many limbs, a spark of astonishment in his gaze.

He too had detected the vanishing presence of the God of Hunting Luen.

Even in the heat of their brutal close-quarters combat, both the Devouring Snake and the Red Dragon King halted their struggle, directing their attention to the far-off sky.

A deep sense of bewilderment and alarm flickered across the enormous slit pupils of the Red Dragon King Straz.

As the Red Dragon King, Straz was intimately familiar with that distinctive secret technique's energy wave.

But power on this scale?

It was utterly staggering!

The three ghostly human visages on the Devouring Snake's neck displayed a grave look as well, since the prior blast at that energy level had seriously endangered it.

And the Sword Saint Lambert, who had only just returned through the air, couldn't resist questioning Prince Menia next to him, sensing the tremendous blast unfolding overhead:

"Prince Menia, that explosion... Rein Crown must have triumphed, right?"

"Maybe." A hint of concern surfaced on Menia’s refined features.

Because the latest detonation was far too fierce, so fierce that even she doubted Rein could endure it.

But she was currently directing the ground forces and couldn't spare a moment to inspect Rein’s state.

...

Within the Rein Mansion.

Lagaray and Cleya, being no ordinary women, showed no fear of the divine’s mutation force, so they remained locked on Rein’s actions.

As they watched Rein clash intensely with the God of Hunting Luen high above, their hearts clenched, rising and falling wildly with every twist of the fight.

The barbarian girl Lagaray clutched her Giant Shield and Battle Axe firmly, her hold clenching and easing repeatedly.

"Cleya, our strength lags so much behind Rein’s."

"If we could just aid him, that would be amazing."

Lagaray yearned to charge out and lend support, but she understood full well that the level of conflict Rein faced was far beyond what she could join or contribute to.

Rushing in would merely pull Rein’s focus without aiding the overall fight.

"Lagaray, don’t dwell on it like that—Rein’s advancement has been incredibly swift." Cleya offered reassurance.

Having observed Rein’s swift rise firsthand, she knew better than most just how remarkable his rate of growth truly was.

It made sense that they couldn't match his pace.

Truth be told, it went beyond them; with her broad exposure at the Imperial Royal Academy, Cleya had yet to encounter anyone whose development rivaled Rein’s.

"We can support him in other ways too, and that's valuable help, much like what Jennifer’s handling at the moment."

...

High in the air.

Without a second's delay, Rein seized the Divine Fragment.

Right away, the system notification rang out:

[Ding! Detected Divine Fragment that can enhance spiritual power’s qualitative degree. Accelerate absorption? (Note: System absorption can eliminate impurities and absorb completely in one go.)]

Rein promptly selected "Yes!"

In that instant, he sensed a sinister and immense force flooding from the Divine Fragment, accompanied by the murmur and malicious incantation of the God of Hunting Luen echoing in his mind, seeking to warp his soul and bend his resolve.

By all accounts, the Divine Fragment abandoned by a Divine was something no mortal should dare claim.

At minimum, reaching the Full Moon Wizard stage or Demigod level was required before a person could withstand such a Divine Fragment.

Yet, for Rein, this posed no problem.

Since the system's involvement wiped away every such barrier.

As the system refined the God of Hunting Luen’s Divine Fragment, every trace of lingering divine intent was purged, leaving behind untainted energy that rushed from Rein’s arm upward, directly into his consciousness.

And the spiritual points within Rein’s mind swiftly expanded!

Within mere seconds, after completing the absorption, Rein examined his attribute panel:

Spirit: 314 (Qualitative completion 100%)

"Hiss~ It’s directly full!" Rein’s eyes gleamed as he exclaimed with thrill.

At that point, the grueling recent fight and the wounds he had taken failed to dim Rein’s grin in the slightest.

"Doesn’t this mean that after I grasp the Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method Fifth Layer, I can advance straight to the Full Moon Wizard rank!"

The Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method Fifth Layer works by creating a ’Steel Heart’ in the mental sea, which to some extent surpasses mortal limits and can be seen as a basic form of low-level divine fragments.

However, without forming a ’Steel Heart’, as with Rein right now, even with spiritual power’s qualitative advancement fully achieved, he remains unable to break through.
