After sacrificing a significant portion of her power and her dragon ally to aid Rein, Menia finds herself in a weakened state as the pair is cornered at the Molten Lava Lake. Their retreat is cut short when the Sea God Sect arrives, unleashing the Ancient Sea Beast Glasers to hunt them down. However, the intrusion awakens Fermo, an ancient red dragon that has slumbered beneath the magma for millennia. Enraged by the slaughter of its progeny, the dragon launches a devastating aerial assault, trapping the Sea God Sect forces in a chaotic crossfire of dragon flame and molten rock.

The situation turned chaotic in an instant.

Within the Sea God Sect’s formation, only Pope Egil managed to shield himself immediately using innate wizardry. The remaining high-level Evil Sorcerers suffered various degrees of harm.

Their previously arrogant demeanor vanished as some struggled with Wizard Robes scorched into rags, while others dealt with the agony of blistered, blackened, or swollen skin.

Driven by humiliation and rage, the high-level Evil Sorcerers of the Sea God Sect turned their bloodshot eyes toward the Red Dragon, launching a desperate counter-offensive.

Glasers, the ancient and terrifying sea beast, was hardly known for having a gentle soul. It was fully aware of its intrusion into the Red Dragon's territory; however, the ocean followed the law of the jungle where the strong devour the weak. An apology was out of the question.

Furthermore, consuming this Red Dragon might be exactly what it needed to fully restore its waning power.

Consequently, Glasers twisted its massive form to meet the magma tsunami and the searing Fiery Breath of 'Red Flame Wings' Fermo head-on. As it moved, the purple markings across its back ignited with a brilliant radiance.

A massive serpent of purple electricity, stretching over a hundred meters, erupted from its skin. It surged forward to clash violently against the onslaught of molten lava and dragon fire.

For a time, the air above the Molten Lava Lake was a chaotic blur of blinding electric arcs and dancing flames.

Led by the monstrous Glasers, the Sea God Sect engaged in a brutal struggle against the ancient Red Dragon Fermo, who had been forcibly awakened from its long sleep!

....

"'Red Flame Wings' Fermo? That name sounds familiar," Menia remarked.

Being proficient in the Dragon Language, she had easily translated Fermo's earlier roar. She knit her brows as she searched her memory for the name.

"I recall now. It was an ancient Red Dragon that roamed during the era of chaos before the Empire's founding. It belongs to a generation even older than the Empire's most ancient Red Dragon. I never expected it to still be alive, hidden away in a slumber beneath this undersea volcanic Magma Lake."

"Its status as an Extremely Old Dragon level entity certainly explains its overwhelming power."

"Is that so?" Rein asked, his eyes fixed on the distant, violent conflict.

"Would its bloodline essence be enough to grant you a full recovery, Prince Menia?"

"A total recovery is asking too much, but it could perhaps restore seventy to eighty percent of my strength... wait, why are you asking that?" Menia answered instinctively before the weight of Rein's words hit her.

Was the possibility of recovery even the main issue here?

Bloodline essence is the core of a dragon's being. Surrendering even a tiny amount would severely drain one's life force. Since they were total strangers, there was no reason for the dragon to simply hand it over!

"Rein, you cannot expect a temperamental Red Dragon of the Extremely Old Dragon level to just give away its bloodline essence. They would never consent to such a thing," Menia said, looking at him with a mix of confusion and wonder in her beautiful eyes.

"Don't worry, they will eventually agree," Rein replied with absolute certainty.

"What?" Menia found herself even more perplexed by his confidence.

"Tell me, what was its reputation like back then? Do the ancient records say anything?"

"It wasn't known for being evil, exactly—just very unpredictable and prone to following its own whims."

"Prince Menia, please remain hidden here for the time being. The Mechanical Velociraptor will keep watch for you. I'm going to settle things with the Sea God Sect and that sea beast first, then I'll have a word with the Red Dragon about the bloodline essence."

"But..." Menia started to protest, but Rein’s form blurred and he was gone.

...

As Rein drew closer to the fray, a sudden thought gave him pause, bringing him to a halt.

"The Sea God Sect's primary trump card in this fight is undoubtedly that 'Smoldering Electric Eel.' If I can take it out, their entire formation will fall apart!"

"However, its purple lightning is formidable. Since the Red Dragon Fermo is already there, I don't need to commit to close-quarters combat by transforming into a dragon myself."

After a moment of calculation, Rein reached a decision. He lifted his hand, and a dark silver disc with serrated edges, measuring several meters across, manifested above his palm. It hovered there, spinning with lethal speed.

This was the 'Blade-toothed Disc,' his latest Dawn Killing Move.

Rein was no longer the wizard he once was; he had reached the late stage of a Fourth Level Dawn Wizard. Bolstered by his 'Steel Heart' Advanced Meditation Method and his Super Metal Affinity, the destructive potential of this Dawn Killing Move had reached the Epic Peak. It was capable of delivering a fatal blow to any careless opponent.

Despite his readiness, Rein watched the battlefield where blue electricity and red magma collided in a dazzling display, holding back his strike.

He was biding his time.

He was waiting for the perfect opening.

...

"Roar!!!"

The ancient Red Dragon Fermo let out a pained cry as the purple current scorched its hide. Despite the combined pressure from Pope Egil and the high-level Evil Sorcerers, the dragon used every ounce of its strength to slam Glasers down into the molten depths!

"Now is the time!"

Rein's eyes snapped sharp as he saw the opening!

With a flick of his will, the dark silver metal disc tore through the air and dived straight into the magma.

From a bird's-eye view of the boiling Magma Lake, one would see a high-speed circular shadow racing beneath the glowing red surface like a heat-seeking torpedo, locking onto the 'Smoldering Electric Eel' Glasers as it struggled in the depths.

"Splash!"

Enraged by the Red Dragon's successful strike, Glasers coiled its massive, eel-like body, preparing to breach the surface and retaliate.

But in that heartbeat, a sudden, paralyzing sense of dread washed over the beast, as if the shadow of death had already fallen upon it!
