Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1471 - 505: The Secret of the Ruins (Part 3)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Rein defeated the powerful Black Mist Claw Monster after a difficult battle, using multiple forms and abilities. He then searched the human wizard's body, finding a pendant and a black diary. The diary, similar to one found previously, revealed that the Ancient Goblin Empire was the source of the Steel Heart Meditation Method, a secret of great importance to Metal Series Wizards.

What!

Rein’s eyes snapped wide at the sight, his mind reeling as if struck by a sudden bolt of lightning!

So, that was the truth of the matter.

This didn't just contain insights regarding the Mechanical Magic Statue; it actually held the secrets of the Steel Heart Meditation Method beyond its Fifth Layer!

After a brief pause, Rein’s gaze swept rapidly over the final sentences:

"Initially, I assumed this was simple contamination from a dark entity, but it proved to be a living nightmare."

"Upon reaching the third subterranean level, we encountered goblin soldiers everywhere who had been corrupted by Fiend Demons. Once slain, their lingering Evil Qi coalesced, manifesting into even more gruesome Fiend Demons!"

"And that was merely the third level... A warning to any successors: the perils within this place exceed your wildest dreams; a single misstep will be your end."

"Listen to my counsel and cease your exploration. The threats on the third level are already more than a Dawn Wizard can endure."

"To whoever follows, I pray you value your existence and find a way to live on..."

"One final request; Magner and Snape would be eternally in your debt if you could assist. Please deliver my Pendant to the Valziger School, I thank you!"

"Sigh~ I only wonder if Magner and Snape possess the strength to restore the Valziger School to its former prominence..."

...

"A Fiend Demon?"

"Wait... is the Fifth Layer of the Steel Heart Meditation Method actually here?"

Overwhelmed with joy, Rein immediately pulled out the Pendant and locked his eyes onto the crystal.

He didn't hesitate for a second, plunging his spiritual power directly into the gemstone to investigate.

Moments later, a look of pure satisfaction crossed his face. He carefully stowed the pendant away, having confirmed that the Fifth Layer of the Steel Heart Meditation Method was indeed stored inside.

With this in his possession, he could now follow the path to ascend to the rank of a Fifth Level Full Moon Wizard without obstacle.

Having successfully fulfilled the objective of his mission, Rein had no intention of lingering and turned to make a swift exit.

However, as he walked past the remains of the female goblin interrogator—now severed into three distinct parts—his eyes caught a ring of keys hanging from her waist, crowded with numerous metal pieces.

"Keys to the cells?"

Rein reached down to retrieve them.

In the following breath, he noticed that one specific key in the center of the bundle stood out; it wasn't forged from bronze like the others, but carved from a peculiar stone.

"This doesn't look like a prison key. Perhaps it belongs to that interrogation room back there? How curious."

Rein felt the weight of the keychain in his palm and glanced toward the nearby room. After weighing his options for a moment, he chose to abandon further investigation.

While deeper scouting might provide more treasures, it would undoubtedly involve massive risks.

Before long, Rein’s silhouette faded as he departed from the prison sector.

...

Not long after Rein had vanished.

Sparks suddenly erupted across the floor of the prison corridor. A massive, razor-sharp gear appeared to be grinding upward from the third level below, slicing through the ground.

If one were to look down into the third subterranean layer, they would see that this gear belonged to a colossal mechanical dinosaur, built in the image of a Tyrannosaurus. The gear was fixed to the tip of its tail, which was currently arched high, biting into the metallic ceiling above.

Encircling this massive mechanical beast were countless smaller constructs resembling swift raptors.

Many scurried to and fro, while others stood motionless, surrounded by the bodies of uniformed goblins who seemed to be in the midst of a dark preparation...
