The protagonist successfully guides the trained dogs to repel a massive alien bug swarm attacking a fort. After the battle, the admiral requests the protagonist to retrieve another group of dogs, leaving the biotamer Nerissa behind to manage the current pack. Nerissa expresses concern about her ability to control the dogs without the protagonist's presence, fearing they might become uncontrollable or even turn on the fort's inhabitants.

My ship was once again cruising through space to another station a few jumps away to get the dogs.

Even with our fastest speed, it would still take us at least three days or so for a return trip so I’m hoping they can hold out for these three days.

The girls were making quite a bit of noise since this time, we would be carrying even more dogs and they would have to put up with it.

The good news was that because we were expected to carry all this without a Biotamer, we would be getting our Bio-Weapons license at that station to allow us to carry all of them.

At least I would be able to use my tentacle cocks without worrying about someone else on the ship looking at me weird.

I wonder if there’s still a way for me to detach them though... Since having all these tentacles around the ship really made things rather inconvenient sometimes.

At least for now, I could easily make all of the tentacles required to keep my girls happy and still go about my day like normal.

Well... Mostly normal... I’ll still let out some moans from time to time especially when my girls are squeezing on me tightly when they orgasm.

We reached the station on schedule which happened to be a military outpost a few jumps away.

It wasn’t inside the Inner Colonies this time but it was certainly near the edge of the border between the Inner Colonies and Outer Colonies.

They also had a large hangar bay which I could fly in and land my ship instead of needing to dock on a docking arm.

I guess they specifically arranged for me to pick up the dogs here specifically for this reason.

Once again, I stepped off the ship with only Renata in tow while my girls hid inside the ship, unwilling to get close to any of the dogs without me shoved in between their legs.

Surprisingly, I found Dylan there, the logistics officer who gave us the job to begin with.

I thought he was stationed in another military outpost within the inner colonies?

He saw me disembark from my ship and moved to meet me, greeting me with a curt nod.

"Miss Tera. I saw the reports on the initial assault on planet Xetarva. It seems like the landing operation went smoothly?"

I nodded, "We managed to secure a landing zone and they have already built a fortress as well as perimeter defenses."

"That is certainly a good start. And I also read that there were minimal casualties?"

"A few ships were lost during the initial planetfall but... None of the dogs were lost at least."

He raised an eyebrow at me and it took me a moment to realise that he was wondering why I would even bring that up. To him, it was probably like I had just told someone we didn’t lose any drones that were easily replaceable or something.

Such is the common sense of this universe I guess.

He had the sense not to question me as he gestured towards the side which made me realise there weren’t any boxes around him that might have contained the dogs so I was wondering where they were.

As if on cue, something resembling a forklift came rolling out while carrying a big armoured shipping container that was at least five times bigger than the cages that I had to transport before this.

And not only that, there were four more following behind it, each of them also carrying the same armoured shipping container in front of them.

He then gave me a look and I understood he was asking permission to have them loaded on my ship so I nodded and stepped aside.

The forklifts moved up the ramp of my ship to load up the crates while I turned back to Dylan.

"How many of them are there?"

He looked up from his personal terminal, "For this batch? Four hundred of them."

I paused before slowly turning my head to him, "Four... Hundred?"

"That’s right. The admiral was quite insistent that we allocate as many as we can for this expedition. Seems like he’s really expecting this to go well."

"That’s an indication of the expedition going well?"

He nodded and went back to tapping on his personal terminal, "That’s right. For him to want to commit this much resources into the expedition, I’m pretty sure he believes it will succeed this time."

I turned to look at the large containers that were being loaded up into my ship, "I see... And err... What about feeding them?"

Dylan looked up at me with a raised eyebrow, "It’s only just a day and a half’s journey right? You don’t need to feed them. I’m not asking you to commit suicide."

He’s really asking me to starve those dogs for an entire day and a half... That’s not gonna happen on my watch.

"I don’t suppose I can requisition some food supplies for this run?"

He looked up again from his personal terminal, his brows furrowing slightly as though he was considering my words.

"Hmm... There are some additional food supplies that were set aside in case of miscellaneous requests... I could possibly assign those to you as well since this mission was approved rather late. I also heard that you would be participating in the extermination as well?"

I nodded, "I have Exo-Knights that I intend to sortie to fight those bugs."

He hummed and started tapping on his personal terminal, "Then I can also assign some ammunition and spare parts to you as well. It will just take a few minutes for them to deliver to your ship if you don’t mind waiting?"

"Ah, that’s not a problem at all. That would be a big help."

"Mmhmm... And to the topic of your Bio-Weapons license..."

I held my breath, half expecting him to tell me that it was rejected or something until a notification came from my Codex.

I lifted my arm and activated it, prompting a screen to pop up showing me that I was approved for the Bio-Weapons license and that I am now registered to be able to obtain Bio-Weapons that are allowed in the license.

Dylan put away his personal terminal before gesturing towards the screen in front of me, "I don’t suppose you need me to explain what the license entails?"

"If you don’t mind?" I asked, dismissing the screen.

"It’s simple. Whatever that is listed on the license are weapons that you are now permitted to acquire, keep and use against enemies of the USC. Do note that if you were found to be using these Bio-Weapons against allies and members of the USC, you would be deemed as a wanted criminal immediately and hunted down as well as have your license revoked."

I paused before raising an eyebrow at him, "So... What happens if I were to bring a dog around and some random guy attacks me and my dog kills him? That guy is technically a human living inside USC territories so he’s kind of a member of it, right? Would I be in trouble for that?"

He shook his head, "That would fall under justified self defense. So you are within your rights to do so. As long as you do not hurt any uninvolved parties, that is."

Right... So basically self defense is legitimate.

He then continued, "Also, make sure that you obtain those Bio-Weapons through approved channels. Any weapon that you get through channels not approved by the USC will also result in you being branded as a criminal and having your license revoked."

I managed to keep my face neutral as I realised Freyja was most likely not obtained through proper channels...

I’m going to have to talk to Vier later about this... Hopefully she has some contacts that I could use to legitimise Freyja as my dog.

He then straightened himself again, "Is there anything else you might need?"

I shook my head, "No, that will be all. Thank you for your support."

"No, thank you, Captain Tera. I will just tell you that if it wasn’t for you, there might have been no one taking this job and this expedition would most likely result in a failure."

Without waiting for a response, he gave me a salute before walking off.

I turned to board my ship as well, making sure the loaders were loading the boxes properly which I believe shouldn’t be a problem since Ries would be directing them where to put the containers through her drones anyway.

I would also need to prepare for additional cargo being loaded thanks to requisitioning those supplies since I fully intend to feed these dogs and let them out of those containers to roam around the ship once we get out of here.

The only worry I have is what would happen if my ship was filled with four hundred dogs...

Oh well, I’m sure it will be fine.
