An attack interrupted the exhibition as thugs in red combat armor burst through a wall. The protagonist and her allies armed themselves and joined the fight, cutting down numerous attackers. As the defense pushed the thugs back, the lights suddenly went out and creature enclosures opened.

Screams and roars reverberated through the hall as the animals were unleashed.

As if their task was accomplished, the thugs who had been skirmishing nearby abruptly gathered their belongings and fled the scene.

They even hauled away the fallen bodies of their companions and the discarded equipment, meticulously ensuring no trace remained that could link them to the incident.

My intention was to halt them, but the unleashed animals, growling and charging at onlookers, posed a far greater immediate threat than the retreating thugs.

I dodged them, calling out to my companions, "Do your best to protect our guests!! Guide them to a secure location!!"

It struck me as profoundly ironic that my girls, who would readily confront an enemy ten times their number, were now gazing at the released animals with evident fear.

Frankly, I am uncertain if Yuki was correct about my potential as a Biotamer, but if she wasn't... we would be in dire straits right now.

At the very least, I am confident that the dogs and the turtle will heed my commands, so those particular threats are no longer a concern.

Concealing my identity was paramount, so I instructed Renata to alter my dress into a different outfit and fashion a mask to obscure my face, leveraging the surrounding pandemonium to mask the transformation.

I then sprang onto one of the displays, inhaled deeply, and bellowed, "All animals, heed my command! Cease!!!"

To be perfectly honest, I harbored no real expectation that this would succeed... Yet, as my voice echoed through the chamber, more than half of the rampaging creatures abruptly halted their chaos and turned to face me.

Upon closer inspection, it appeared that all the creatures obedient to my command were those I recognized as originating from Earth.

The alien creatures, unfamiliar to me, paid no mind to my words and continued their destructive rampage throughout the hall.

Hmm... I wonder if I can...

"All of you, cooperate to herd the others back into their enclosures!!"

The animals responded with their unique calls before surging forward, now targeting the alien creatures that had disregarded my orders, rather than the panicked people in the hall.

The disarray transformed into an organized chaos as the animals naturally segregated into groups, beginning to corral the other creatures away from the humans.

I observed the snowy owl from earlier descend upon a creature resembling a worm, significantly larger than itself. It effortlessly grasped the worm in its talons before flying towards what I presumed was the worm's original enclosure, depositing it back inside.

The sole issue was the persistent power outage, offering no impediment for the worm to simply crawl back out.

I clicked my tongue in irritation and leaped towards Yuki's position. The CEO was attempting to direct her security personnel while her three golden retrievers stood guard beside her, offering welcoming barks as I approached.

"Hey?! Don't you have some kind of backup generator to reactivate the enclosures?!" I demanded.

She likely recognized me, as she didn't question my identity and simply replied, "They sabotaged that as well. I've dispatched someone to restore power, but it will take some time."

"Too slow. Ries!! Ries!!"

My catgirl immediately hurried to my side, "I'm here, Boss!!"

"Proceed to the generators and bring them back online. Have Yuki's people guide you there!"

She offered me a charming salute as I returned my attention to managing the pandemonium in the hall.

Fortunately, my girls had done an admirable job evacuating the guests to a safer section of the hall, from where they were now being led out through another exit, away from the creatures.

Given that the enclosures were not yet secure... I needed to adjust my strategy.

"Work together to restrain them if possible! Hold them down while the generators are being restored!!"

The animals collectively issued acknowledging cries, adapting their tactics to my revised commands.

One of the alien creatures, resembling a hybrid of an insect and a lizard, swooped towards me, its claws extended in an attempt to rend me.

I prepared to strike it down with my halberd to incapacitate it, deeming outright killing them inadvisable... But I didn't need to intervene. An eagle descended from the sky, slamming into the creature.

The insect plummeted towards the ground, the eagle flaring its wings to avoid falling with its prey. Immediately thereafter, it let out a piercing shriek.

Then, I witnessed a rhinoceros charge directly into the falling insect-lizard, impaling it with the side of its horn and sending the creature crashing into an exhibit, rendering it unconscious.

Scanning my surroundings, a canine's barks drew my attention to a snapping turtle, which then ambled towards a bizarre, rock-like alien creature locked in a struggle with a bear.

The turtle charged the rock alien, flipping it over and granting the bear the advantage to slam the creature onto the ground.

The bear even offered a subtle nod to the turtle, a gesture of approval, before tossing the now-unconscious rock-beast into a separate enclosure.

The same eagle that had appeared earlier swooped down with a shriek, prompting both the bear and the turtle to separate and head towards other enclosures where alien creatures battled Earth animals, moving to reinforce them.

Hold on a moment... Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but... Are they actually cooperating?

I mean... They appear to be coordinating their actions rather than just striking out on pure instinct... It's almost as if they are a unit of highly trained soldiers...

That's... I hesitate to call it impossible, but... It's definitely not something I anticipated witnessing.

If they belonged to the same species, I could at least rationalize it, but it's patently obvious that's not the situation here.

Yet, I'm observing a snowy owl pecking at a rat-insect hybrid from above while a dog attacks it from below, working in perfect synchronization.

Adjacent to them, a lioness had clamped down on the leg of a creature resembling a velociraptor but with the head of a chicken, while a gorilla held it by the neck, preventing it from biting either of them.

And a massive alien entity, shaped like a giant bipedal lizard, found itself encircled by a dog, the snapping turtle, a rhino, and even an elephant.

The turtle's strategy was to taunt the lizard, provoking attacks, while the other three seized openings to strike the reptile, progressively weakening it until it was finally trampled by the rhino and turtle.

I also noted that they had assigned the eagle to patrol above me, functioning as a guardian. The bird continuously circled overhead, diving down to swat away any alien creatures that attempted to approach me.

The combat, I believe, lasted for approximately half an hour before the lights flickered back on, signaling the restoration of power.

"Get them into their enclosures, now!" I commanded, vaulting from my elevated position to begin securing the already contained creatures' enclosures.

In a short span of time, all the remaining alien creatures were safely housed, leaving only the Earth animals.

It was then that they all gathered around me, forming a circle.

For a brief instant, I questioned if they intended to attack me as well, until one of the dogs, a German Shepherd, approached, panting with its tail wagging.

Ah... Okay... They all want head scratches, I see...

Very well then...

I proceeded to go around, patting each of them individually, ensuring each received my gratitude for assisting in this situation and reveling in the soft fur and adorable presence of every animal.

After receiving their pats from me, they all obediently returned to their respective enclosures and permitted themselves to be contained once more.

Yuki approached me, a complex expression on her face.

"Who... Who are you, Miss Tera?"

I offered a shrug, "I’m just a Merc you hired for this job."

She was clearly not satisfied with my response, but I possessed no better answer to offer at this moment.

Setting that aside... I believe you should attend to your guests...
