The mercenary group traveled through the tunnels, guided by dogs and a map. They discussed the unusual presence of a General on the front lines and suspected the military was conducting secret experiments with the alien bugs, possibly involving dangerous biological research. Upon reaching the first outpost, they found it destroyed and littered with bodies. After clearing out some remaining bugs, they encountered another group. Finally, they reached the second outpost, which appeared surprisingly intact, only for its automated defenses to immediately open fire on them.
