For normal Mercs, they would be diving into the tunnels repeatedly just to clear it instead of us just completing it in a single run.

They probably also thought we needed multiple runs to clear a nest and the video we put out on our channel were different videos across several days all spliced together.

Well... If it made it more believable, I don’t see a need to correct them anyway.

We returned to the surface and found that the camp was already set up with supplies all prepared for us, like they already knew we were returning.

Nayek was already shouting orders at everyone, "One hour break! Support team, resupply and repair! We’re setting off back inside again once the hour is up!"

The camp came alive as people scrambled to obey the order. The members of the Assault teams moving to stow their gear away so that the support team could resupply and clean them while they rested.

For us, we went to the small part of the camp that was set aside for us, with Mara waiting there alongside Renata who had prepared some food for us that Vier had apparently made while we were in the tunnels.

It’s nice that there’s someone else making the food for me instead of having to cook it all the time, even though I might enjoy it.

Renata worked on resupplying both Patricia’s and Ries’s suits while we ate, aside from Patricia of course who was not physically here.

I’m still surprised that her suit managed to function pretty well down in the tunnels and Ries seemed to have fitted her with dual kinetic cannons on her arms which Patricia had been primarily used during our earlier expedition.

"How was it?" Mara asked, taking a sip of her tea that Lea had brewed for us.

I understood she was asking about the expedition itself and gave her a nod, "It’s ok. No surprises so far. At least there hasn’t been a situation where we have needed to resort to more... Desperate measures."

Mara nodded in understanding, "Just don’t hesitate to use it if you really need to, Captain. It would not be a good thing if you were to hesitate too much and end up costing someone their life."

Amber let out a chuckle from the side, "Ahahaha~ Don’t worry, I think I would be the first one to use it instead of Tera~ So worse comes to worse, I’ll be the one that’s outed as a Psionic first~"

I actually disagree with that because I think I might just instinctively use it in some way and then reveal myself but... I appreciate the thought at least.

Patricia came up to me in the suit she was controlling, "Te... Tera! This... This is... This is the best day of my life!"

I turned to smirk at her, "Having fun?"

The suit nodded its head enthusiastically, "That’s right! This... I never thought that this would be what you can see up close in real life! It’s so different from a game!"

I wanted to point out that she wasn’t actually physically here to begin with so it’s still not the same thing but... I guess I could just let the cute Purinki have her fun at least.

"I’m more surprised that you can maintain the connection between the suit and the ship despite such a great distance between the two."

Renata perked up right then, "Ehehe! I helped, Daddy!"

"Eh? You did?"

Ries bounced over to me, "That’s right! I got the idea to let Renata act as a relay for the signal! The signal is being sent from the ship to the surface here where she has one copy of her before it is sent to the Renata you’re wearing Boss! She’s able to transmit the signal between her copies perfectly so there is practically no latency at all!"

Ah... That’s why they were so sure that there would not be any problems at all. At least they figured it out how to make it work.

Speaking of which, "You sure you don’t want to take a break, Patricia? You could just log out of the suit for a bit and stretch your legs. We’ve been down there for at least an hour and a half."

She shook her head, "I’m... I’m fine, Tera... Umm... I mean... I sometimes do marathon streams where I play games for a few days straight... So this is nothing..."

Right, I almost forgot that she’s even more of a hardcore gamer than me...

Whatever floats her boat I guess?

"Just asking... Are you also streaming this, Patricia?" I asked, gesturing towards the tunnel.

She poked her fingers together nervously, which was odd to see a high tech power armour do, "Ah... Umm... I’ve been recording a video of it through the suit but... Umm... I wasn’t sure if I should show it... Since... Umm... I haven’t told my viewers about... About us..."

She made it sound like she was hiding a relationship from her parents or something...

Of course, I understood that she meant she hadn’t told her viewers about our... Permanent collab arrangement yet so she probably wanted to wait until she revealed that before she posts anything related to us in real life.

That in turn reminded me of our last collab stream.

"How was the response to our last collab?"

Ries was the one who answered as she hopped over to me excitedly, "Oh, oh!! I wanted to show you this before but I forgot, Boss!!"

She pulled out her personal terminal to bring up a page that she had obviously saved for quicker access.

On the screen were a bunch of comments and tags that filled the entire page.

"This is the most ambitious crossover in GalaNet history!"

"SonicSlayer really turned down a collab with Hsoms to collab with her? Great choice!!"

"Damn, this was a collab we never knew we needed."

"Powercouple!"

"I pod these two!"

"Are they going to be a permanent collab now?"

"This is the best thing ever since the invention of the GalaNet!"

Ries swiped past the comments and I was met with an entire screen of pictures.

I only managed to get a peek at it before Patricia let out a shriek and tried to cover up the screen with her hand.

But Ries seemed to have anticipated that because she dodged her hand and slid her personal terminal over to me, letting me see the screen for myself.

On the screen were various pictures that I assumed were drawn by fans who have depicted myself and who they believe SonicSlayer to look like in real life in... Err... Rather compromising poses.

All the depictions of me had my platinum white hair and... Very generous curves. On the other hand, all of SonicSlayer’s depictions were of hot, handsome guys which the artists made up to represent Patricia.

They had pictures of us kissing passionately, of SonicSlayer lifting me up in a princess carry, of her doing the wall slam and leaning towards me and err... Some where we were straight up having sex...

There were also a few where the roles were reversed and I was the one pushing ’Patricia’ down instead or being the aggressive one in the duo. Which for some reason had a lot more in quantity instead of the other way around.

There were pictures of me stepping on SonicSlayer, of me teasing ’him’ with my finger lifting up ’his’ chin, of me flirtatiously pulling my suit to the side to show my cleavage, and of course of me just riding ’him’ and dominating ’him’.

The pairing that was far fewer in number but also present were pictures that showed SonicSlayer being a girl instead and these were no less inferior in quality.

The only problem with all of this art was that it depicted SonicSlayer as a human and very few of them showed the depiction of her as another race.

Patricia covered her face with her hands, "Noooo... Please don’t look... It’s embarassing..."

Ries smirked, "She says that but I know for a fact that she had specifically downloaded all of the pictures where she is shown as a girl making out with you."

"Nooooooooo!!" Patricia squealed cutely.

Well... I don’t know why she’s so embarrassed... We’ve basically already down way more embarrassing things and... She has also seen more embarrassing stuff as well.

I chuckled, "Right... I suppose people are now shipping us, eh?"

Ries tilted her head at me, "Shipping?"

Ah, they don’t use that term anymore?

"Like they want us to be a couple or something?" I elaborated.

Ries grinned, "That’s right! They’re podding the both of you! Isn’t it fun? I bet we can get so much attention from this once we reveal that the collab is going to be permanent from now on! We’re going to get such a big boost!"

Anyway... I think we should stop tormenting the poor girl, I think Patricia has already short circuited...
