Leon and his allies fought against a massive monster that manipulated their mana, forcing them to use their bodies to attack. Leon discovered that by rapidly moving his memory energy within himself, he could briefly overcome the monster's control and attack. He headbutted the creature, dealing immense damage and freeing his allies, though he was severely injured in the process. Ilyana chastised him for his reckless actions.

Leon endured Ilyana's lecture for a considerable time. His only recourse was to listen, as he had already propelled the monster away and now required time for his own healing. This ordeal, however, led them to a critical discovery: the memory energy possessed the capability to mend wounds. Yet, it wasn't a conventional healing method; the memory energy acted as if it were reassembling shattered fragments. Even the blood Leon had lost seeped back into his body, mimicking temporal magic without truly being it.

"This is quite peculiar," Leon mused, his brow furrowed. "But not as peculiar as that."

As everyone advanced towards the colossal creature, they witnessed its eyes regenerating, a deeply unsettling spectacle accompanied by the flow of substantial amounts of its blood. The sight of such rapid self-healing instilled a sense of profound doubt among many. Hector, Yuki, and Gisela, veterans of numerous large-scale battles, recognized this shift immediately. Despite their extensive experience, however, they found themselves at a loss for how to bolster the troops' faltering morale.

"Leon," Hector declared, his voice strained. "We must inflict more damage. We need to strike faster than this monster can regenerate. Only then will our allies fight with renewed ferocity."

"I doubt that is feasible," Leon countered gravely. "Have you forgotten its mastery over all the universe's mana? Even with its immense size, it could instantly recover using magic. What we are witnessing now is merely its natural regenerative capability."

"That is accurate," Ilyana affirmed with a nod. "This is a creature capable of surviving the vacuum of space unaided. We also understand its ancient origins, having undergone numerous mutations to achieve such power. Moreover, it possesses the ability to alter its form at will. This explains its multiple brains. It is highly probable that it will soon adapt its body, rendering our attacks and even the memory energy ineffective. We can expect no mercy or predictability from such a being."

"If that is the case, what recourse do we have?" Yuki inquired, his voice heavy with concern. "A war of attrition against this foe will only crush our soldiers' spirits. Based on your assessment, a prolonged engagement is precisely what it desires."

"While I had anticipated a protracted conflict to wear down the monster, it seems we lack the necessary resilience for such a strategy," Leon admitted. "I have an idea… we should minimize our reliance on mana for now, though I concede we have few other options. Ilyana and Tyrselle, create replicas of yourselves."

The instant the replicas materialized, they vanished, a consequence of Leon's actions. It was, as usual, an unconventional tactic, but faced with such an adversary, Leon was at a loss for alternative strategies. His time in the void had been dedicated solely to locating his companions and accumulating power.

"… What do you intend for them to accomplish?" Tyrselle asked, her skepticism evident.

"The usual plan: our replicas will endeavor to devise a novel technique to bring this conflict to a definitive end," Leon explained. "Subsequently, I will disseminate this knowledge among everyone."

"Another unique technique developed by Leon, I presume," Hector remarked, a touch of pallor on his face. "I do question our collective ability to wield it effectively."

"Worry not," Leon assured him. "This particular technique will be devoid of any weaknesses or adverse effects."

"On what grounds are you so confident?" Tyrselle pressed.

"Because this instance will be a special collaboration between yourself, myself, and Ilyana," Leon stated. "You can take pride in the outcome, as you will be instrumental in its success."

Tyrselle found herself unsettled by his words. Her long-standing adversary was casually asserting that, thanks to her, they would develop an extraordinary technique capable of vanquishing their most formidable foe. The sensation was undeniably strange – to consider a former mortal enemy now a comrade – yet, it was not an unpleasant feeling.

"… Let us simply hope we can execute this swiftly," Tyrselle conceded after a brief silence.

"Ah, we will, without question," Leon declared confidently. "That is precisely why Ilyana is here, to guarantee we achieve success within the necessary timeframe."

Ilyana offered a shrug, seemingly accepting her role as the primary support for Leon's ambitious plans. Having journeyed this far alongside him, she often preferred being on the front lines, with Leon providing crucial backup. Nevertheless, she harbored no dissatisfaction, recognizing that the ultimate triumph would be a collective effort. Furthermore, her interest lay more in the post-war reconstruction than the immediate conclusion of the battle. Ilyana was already envisioning the potential future as things returned to normalcy. However, she abruptly dismissed these daydreams when she noticed Leon frowning in her direction… such potent desires could indeed be a perilous double-edged sword…

Leon and his companions finally reached the monster's location. The beast had returned to its previous state. The injuries inflicted by Leon's assault had vanished. Nevertheless, the creature made no move. It was only proper for such a creature to not take them seriously so quickly. However, Leon was already weary of that condescending demeanor. "It appears you're devising something to counter me. Very well, it's time I confronted all of you with a greater degree of consideration. You've earned that much after forcing me this far… Yet, do not come to regret this decision later." The monster's form started to emit an orange radiance, and then all the mana within it detonated. Instantly, the creature transformed into a colossal fireball, relentlessly expanding. The monster itself had become a sun… a sun that grew at an incredible velocity. Leon foresaw the inevitable consequence that would follow…
