Guang becomes a father to twins, feeling both joy and trepidation. Five months later, Mian discovers she is four months pregnant, having missed the signs. Zian reassures her they will be ready, though his father hints at future challenges. Their daughter is born healthy, leaving Zian relieved but unaware of the difficulties to come.

[This is a BONUS chapter highlighting things that I happened to miss out and a few events that happened before and after Zian and Mian welcomed their daughter]

Nine months ago (A month after Qiang gave birth)

Li Mansion.

"Dude, those dark circles under your eyes aren't doing you any favors," Yinhai remarked.

"I've got two babies, and one of them decides 3 AM is the perfect time to cry every single night. I consider myself fortunate to still be standing," Guang sighed, exhausted.

"It sounds like Mia is already causing you some trouble," Ashton chuckled.

"Mia is an angel, truly. She's only thirty days old and so considerate. She hardly cries, and if she does, a little soothing calms her right down. But Yuhan—" Guang shook his head helplessly. "He only stops wailing when Qiang starts comforting him."

"It appears Mia and Yuhan have already picked their favorite parent."

"Isn't that a convenient arrangement? You can handle Mia, and Qiang can look after Yuhan. It makes things much simpler that way," Ashton suggested.

"Not entirely. I want Qiang to get her rest, so I try to avoid disturbing her at night. However, for the past few days, she's been woken up because Yuhan just won't stop crying."

Patting Guang's shoulder, Ashton sighed, "Good luck, my friend. You have my utmost respect."

"Mine too. Managing one child is challenging enough, let alone two simultaneously."

"It's not easy, but there's a strange sort of satisfaction to it as well. I mean, they're my children, so no matter how tiring it gets, there's this deep contentment in raising them," Guang said with a smile.

"You sound incredibly proud and joyful," Yinhai chuckled. "Anyway, let's get to the heart of the matter now."

"Yes, what is it? Why have you two come over at this hour?"

"It concerns Henry—"

"The fellow who's been after Elsa?" Seeing Ashton nod, Guang inquired, "So, has he finally walked into our trap?"

"It took some considerable effort, but yes, he has," Yinhai confirmed.

For months, they had been determined to apprehend Henry, who had vanished after abducting Elsa. Following Guang's strategic plan, Ashton had prompted Elsa to reach out to Henry and lure him in. However, their initial attempts didn't go as smoothly as anticipated. The calls either failed to connect or ended up in voicemail.

Yet, after persistent efforts over a significant period, Elsa finally succeeded in persuading him to agree to a meeting.

"That's excellent news! Where and when are we meeting him?" Guang asked.

"Tomorrow evening, at Central Park," Ashton replied.

"And what do we plan to do with him once we have him?"

"I gave Elsa my word that I would hand him over to the police," Ashton stated with a sigh.

"Perhaps we should handle him our way," Yinhai suggested.

"I understand your sentiment, but I gave her my promise, and I don't intend to break it."

"Very well, let's make our arrangements based on that. Once this Henry character is behind bars, we'll have no further worries to contend with."

....

The following day

Qiang's room.

"Moving out? But why would you do that?" Singtan questioned, his brow furrowed.

"Singtan, please lower your voice; you'll wake the children. You'll wake them up," Ming cautioned, placing a finger to her lips.

Speaking in a hushed tone, he voiced his complaint, "Why must you relocate? Everything is perfectly fine here, and the babies are so young. How will the two of you manage entirely on your own?"

"Dad, wasn't this the plan all along? You advised us to stay here until after my delivery, and we aren't moving out tomorrow anyway. It will likely be a couple of months from now." With circumstances now stable, Qiang and Guang were contemplating a move to their new residence to signify a fresh start.

"Two months? The babies will only be three months old then. How on earth will you manage?" Singtan exclaimed. "Guang will be occupied with work all day; how will you possibly care for them by yourself?"

"But Dad, we can't possibly stay here forever—"

Interrupting her, he frowned, "Why not? This is your home too. You are most welcome to reside here for as long as you wish."

"I am aware of that, but—"

"I believe Qiang has a valid point. I would be delighted for her to stay with us, but she is married now and has established her own family. We must take that into consideration as well," Ming articulated.

Furrowing his brows, Singtan exited the room. "Do as you please. It seems no one in this house truly listens to me anymore."

"Dad—"

"Don't concern yourself with his reaction; I will speak with him later." Ming gently stroked Qiang's head, offering a warm smile. "Try to get some rest now."

Qiang nodded in agreement. "I'm just waiting for Guang to arrive home."

"He isn't back yet?" Ming glanced at her watch. "He typically returns around this time."

"Yes, but he has some urgent matters to attend to with Ash and Yinhai today, so he'll be a bit delayed."

Central Park

Placing a hand on Elsa's shoulder, Ashton offered reassurance, "I will stay very close to you, so don't worry, okay? Guang and Yinhai are also here, and we have a contingent of officers with us. You just need to speak with him normally for a few seconds. The police will handle everything else." Gulping with nervousness, Elsa nodded. "Okay, I think I can do this." "I truly didn't want to involve you, but this was the last viable option. I couldn't let him roam freely after what he did to you." "Please don't worry about me; I'm alright." After receiving her reassurance, Ashton rejoined Guang and Yinhai, who were positioned a short distance away. Fifteen minutes passed, and with Henry still absent, impatience began to set in among everyone. "Is he actually coming? What if he somehow caught wind of our plan?" Yinhai voiced his suspicion. "The probability of that occurring is quite low," Guang stated. "But—" "Someone is approaching. Is that Henry?" Upon Ashton's affirmative nod, Yinhai alerted one of the officers. Seeing Henry walking towards her, Elsa felt a flicker of panic but managed to regain her composure. "What is it you want to know?" "Why didn't you answer my calls? You ignored so many of them," Elsa asked. "I was waiting for the opportune moment." Glancing around, he retrieved an envelope from his pocket. "This contains all the necessary information." Handing it to her, he added, "Let me know your decision after you've reviewed this, and—" At that precise moment, several officers emerged from the rear and subdued him. When Henry attempted to resist, one officer issued a stern warning: "Stay still." Ashton quickly went to Elsa's side, accompanied by Guang and Yinhai. "Are you alright?" As she confirmed her well-being with a nod, Ashton gently pulled her into an embrace. .... Inside Ashton's car. Gesturing towards the envelope still in her hand, Ashton said, "You can read it if you wish." Without a word, Elsa tore the envelope into numerous pieces and tossed them out the window. Smiling softly at him, she intertwined her arms with his, resting her head against his shoulder. …… SPECIAL AUTHOR'S NOTE:- I hope you all enjoyed this bonus chapter, featuring a few scenes I had previously omitted. ^_^ Thank you for your readership and continued support of this novel :) If you haven't already, please remember to add my new novel, 'The Immortal Fates,' to your library.
