THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 933: A Door Between Worlds (3)
Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
"I had no choice but to establish some kind of relationship with them. I built this fortress on their land."
Agaroth looked toward the planet’s inhabitants.
They resembled giants, creatures of immense size that walked upon four limbs. Their lower bodies were animalistic, while their upper halves closely resembled those of the Writers.
They were colossal beings with the form of centaurs, unique in their own way.
"I help them whenever they face a problem they cannot solve. In return, they gave me this vast piece of land."
Agaroth chuckled softly after saying the final part.
"Although I call it vast, by their standards it’s quite ordinary when you consider their size. That’s why I had to make the fortress so enormous. Otherwise, it would’ve looked like an anthill to them."
The corners of Frey’s lips rose slightly.
"This is the first time you’ve ever built yourself a home in this world."
"It’s more of a laboratory," Agaroth immediately corrected him. "A research center. Call it whatever you want, but this place is the foundation of my escape from this world."
Frey turned his head toward Agaroth seated beside him before returning his gaze to the beautiful horizon stretching across the planet.
"Agaroth... even if you leave this world one day, I don’t want you to hate it or cast it aside. To me, this place has always been a paradise I could escape to whenever everything became too much."
Frey was sincere.
He wanted Agaroth to consider the Land of Survival a home he could return to whenever he wished.
But Agaroth did not share that desire.
"You may see it as paradise, but I see it as an eternal prison. Its chains strangle me every day. Every second I spend here reminds me of that."
"I see..."
Frey did not argue.
He accepted Agaroth’s words, albeit reluctantly.
Watching the enormous creatures who inhabited the planet, he chose to ask about something else instead.
"What was this planet called again?"
Agaroth answered without looking away from the horizon.
It was an enormous world, larger than most planets within the Land of Survival, and even the beings inhabiting it were exceptional.
"Londor... the Planet of Golden Giants."
It was a remarkable land.
One from which extraordinary events destined to change the course of history would eventually begin.
...
...
...
The days passed, and time waited for no one.
The pressure bearing down upon Frey gradually became greater than ever before, forcing him to keep pace with everything happening around him.
The war against the Lords of Mist intensified, and his presence became increasingly necessary, drawing him into more and more battles.
He eventually found Seth and convinced him to help.
Seth’s loyalty toward his elder brother was unwavering, which led him to agree, though he described what Frey and Agaroth intended to do as complete madness.
Seth himself was deeply involved in the war, so his assistance was limited to the few days when he returned to the Council.
He and Frey followed nearly identical routines. Both actively participated in the war and the Council’s affairs, then headed straight into the Land of Survival whenever they found time, assisting Agaroth with his research.
Agaroth shared a friendly relationship with Seth similar to the one he had with Frey, which made working together far easier.
Alongside all of that, Frey was forced to bear the weight of his visions alone.
Not a single minute passed without him attempting to unravel the meaning hidden within the five prophecies.
He felt that each one concealed something extraordinarily important, yet he had no choice but to rely upon himself to understand them and prepare for them properly.
He could not reveal the secrets of his fate to anyone, afraid that doing so might bring even greater consequences.
And so, he carried that burden alone.
Fighting the Lords of Mist.
Searching for Agaroth’s escape.
Preparing for the future.
Frey’s shadow seemed to stretch across every corner of existence, and little by little, results began to appear.
The war reached a decisive turning point, while the name of the Pale Devastation began to spread with increasingly ominous frequency.
At the same time, the impossible slowly began to seem achievable.
After Frey, Seth, and Agaroth gave everything they possessed...
They finally devised a plan to open a passage between the two worlds.
Inside the magnificent fortress of Londor, which had long since transformed into a vast and chaotic laboratory, Seth manipulated aether and aura between his hands, exhaustion and concentration clearly visible upon his face.
He was shorter and leaner than Frey, with striking golden hair and eyes that radiated a pure blue light—features he had acquired after gaining greater control over his own aether.
Behind him stood Frey and Agaroth, both taller than he was.
After several more minutes, the forces between Seth’s hands finally dispersed, and he released a long breath.
"I think this could work."
The moment he said it, Agaroth’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"Really?!"
He could barely believe what he had heard, but Seth gave a firm nod.
"Yes. We can do it."
"But we’ll need to meet several conditions first."
After combining the results of all three of their efforts and reaching the limits of what they had discovered, the path ahead had finally become clear.
"First, I’ll be the one to construct the passage between the two worlds and ensure the Land of Survival doesn’t collapse."
"To accomplish that, I’ll have to use my Rune."
Frey nodded in agreement.
He had already concluded that this was the best possible course of action.
Seth’s Rune granted him the power of Creation and Construction.
It allowed him to build a stable passage that would neither collapse nor damage the rest of the world.
"To create the passage, we’ll need an enormous amount of aether and an extremely high degree of control."
"Frey, you’ve already reached that level."
"But we’ll need one more person beside you to keep the passage stable."
Another Writer powerful enough to stand beside Frey...
And someone willing to help them.
Both of them thought of the same person.
"We’ll have to convince Father."
Abraham.
Their father possessed more than enough strength to fulfill that role.
"I’ll handle convincing him."
Frey looked toward Seth.
"What else do we need?"
Seth then pointed out the final problem.
"To activate something like this and create a path between two worlds, we’ll require an overwhelming amount of aura and energy."
"An almost limitless quantity."
"Far more than any of us possesses."
He fell silent for a moment, considering who would be most suitable for such a role.
Frey smiled as soon as he realized what his younger brother was thinking.
"We’ll need Audrey as well."
"She possesses an infinite reserve of aura."
Seth nodded before turning toward Agaroth.
"If all of these conditions are met, you’ll have to walk through the passage alone and endure the pressure placed upon you while attempting to leave."
"You need to understand that the resistance will be immense."
"The Land of Survival will try to stop you because it recognizes you as part of itself."
"And the Aether World will reject you as well, because you do not belong to it."
"In the worst possible outcome..."
"You may be torn into thousands of pieces."
The risk was extreme.
Agaroth, however, showed no concern whatsoever.
"Then let’s do it."
"This body was made to endure what no one else can."
His body had been created to devour every force directed against it and convert that power into his own.
Yet he could no longer use that ability.
The First Writer’s seal had completely restrained the power of Devouring.
That power would not help him.
The only thing Agaroth could rely upon was his body itself.
Attempting to proceed in such a state was incredibly dangerous.
But he had no other path left.
Agaroth resolved to accept the risk and wager everything upon this single attempt.
Success...
Or death.
