THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 932: A Door Between Worlds (2)
Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
The man with crimson eyes had already conceived an entirely different idea.
"If I can’t make this world reject me through Aether..."
"Then why don’t I simply build a door leading outside instead?"
Agaroth pointed toward something important he had realized.
"Think about it."
"Every time you enter this place, your real body remains outside while another body manifests here."
"But what if..."
"We found a way to bring your real body inside?"
"By creating a passage."
Trying to process Agaroth’s absurd proposal, Frey fell into deep thought.
"A direct path..."
"Between the Aether World... and the Land of Survival..."
"...Is something like that even possible?"
"Think about it."
Agaroth pointed toward a diagram he had drawn earlier.
A massive circle occupied the page.
At its center rested a much smaller one.
"We aren’t trying to connect two separate worlds."
"The Land of Survival doesn’t exist outside the Aether World."
"It exists inside it."
The Land of Survival was never a completely separate world.
It belonged to a single book.
That book rested inside the Great Library of the Council of Writers.
And that library itself existed within the Aether World.
In other words...
The Land of Survival already existed inside the Aether World.
"We aren’t trying to connect two different worlds."
"We only need to create a door."
"A door that allows passage in both directions."
Unexpectedly...
Agaroth’s reasoning was terrifyingly logical.
"...It’s possible."
"The Land of Survival is like a single room inside an enormous mansion."
"And that mansion is the Aether World."
"The room itself is completely sealed."
"There simply isn’t a doorway leading inside."
"So..."
"All we need to do..."
"...is build one."
Frey finally grasped the idea.
Agaroth nodded firmly.
"Exactly."
"I believe it can be done."
Agaroth’s eyes burned with excitement and optimism.
Frey, on the other hand, remained hesitant.
"In theory..."
"It sounds possible."
"But can something like this actually be accomplished?"
"I mean..."
"The Writers have created thousands of worlds throughout history."
"I’ve never once heard of anything like this happening."
And even if it were possible...
Would the Writers ever allow it?
Frey kept that question to himself.
"We have to try."
This time, Agaroth’s voice carried far greater weight.
Frey immediately realized something.
This was no longer merely an idea.
It was Agaroth’s only remaining path forward.
"...Then let’s do it."
Frey agreed.
And with that...
The two of them officially embarked upon a mad plan whose future consequences neither of them could possibly imagine.
But saying it was far easier than accomplishing it.
Agaroth had conceived an extraordinary idea...
Yet he was no scientist.
Nor was he the kind of mad genius capable of solving such impossible problems.
It was safe to say...
That despite all his efforts, he had made almost no progress since the day his experiments began.
Frey, on the other hand, was different. He had spent years researching every hidden principle of written worlds in order to build his own and refine it to the highest possible level.
"What we’re attempting now is nearly impossible. Everything within the Land of Survival exists inside a vessel, and that vessel is the book in which I wrote this entire world."
As a starting point, Frey explained most of the fundamental principles behind creating worlds to Agaroth.
In simple terms, everything within the Land of Survival existed inside a book. If the entire world were compared to water, then the book itself would be the cup containing it.
They wanted to create a door that would allow passage in and out, but opening a breach in that cup could lead to catastrophic consequences.
Once the cup was pierced, all the water within it might leak and spill outside.
That single opening could even cause the entire vessel to shatter.
In other words, there was a very real possibility that Frey and Agaroth would destroy the entire Land of Survival if they succeeded.
"This is cursedly complicated..." Agaroth muttered once he finally understood what could happen.
"We’ll have to ensure the Land of Survival doesn’t collapse while creating a safe passage that allows you to leave."
Frey began considering whether the two of them would be enough on their own, but quickly concluded that their chances were almost nonexistent.
"We’ll need outside help if we want to increase our chances of success."
The first person who came to mind immediately left Frey’s lips.
"We need to convince Seth."
Agaroth’s eyes narrowed slightly at the mention of that name.
"Seth... It’s been a long time since he last came here."
Seth was Frey’s younger brother and the only one who had continued visiting from time to time after everyone else left.
But even he had not appeared in a very long while.
"Seth is deeply involved in the war and barely returns from the front lines. He also has a world of his own now, so it’s only natural that he doesn’t visit this place often."
Frey paused briefly before adding, "But we need him. He understands the nature of written worlds far better than I do."
Seth was exceptional in his own way. He had not been born with Frey’s terrifying potential, nor did he possess Arlecchino’s discipline and sharp perception.
But he possessed something neither of them did.
The ability to invent and create in ways no one else could imitate.
Their first step was bringing him here and convincing him to help.
Frey and Agaroth spent a great deal of time planning what they needed to do, and without either of them realizing it, they became so immersed in their work that the events of the past faded from their minds.
Their relationship naturally returned to what it had once been.
By the time they finally noticed how long they had been working, far more time had passed than either expected.
Taking a break, the two sat atop the fortress Agaroth had built and stared toward the distant horizon.
The sky carried a reddish hue, filled with vitality and several clearly visible moons.
The earth below was equally alive, home to countless creatures.
Apparently, many of those beings were familiar with Agaroth, and some even came to visit him from time to time.
That surprised Frey.
"I never imagined you would form relationships with other beings from this world."
Agaroth had always wanted to escape the Land of Survival, which was why he had avoided forming bonds with any creature belonging to it.
He refused to bind himself to anything else within this world.
Yet he seemed to share a friendly relationship with the inhabitants of the planet where he had built his fortress.
