THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 769 The Day the Gods Bled (1)

Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
Crimson, Marvas, and Agares pressed deeper into the mysterious continent, only to find themselves trapped in an illusory maze that reset endlessly. Crimson unleashed his overwhelming power, shattering the deception and revealing a disorienting labyrinth of inverted stairways and platforms designed to ensnare them. Sensing no presence of the expected Great Ones, Crimson grew wary of the engineered traps. Meanwhile, in Helmond, the Demon King Agaroth rose from his throne with uncharacteristic excitement as a sinister wave swept the crimson skies, heralding the arrival of colossal, transcendent beings. For the first time, the demon world faced invasion by the Great Ones themselves.

Helmond… Under Siege

Invasion gripped Helmond tightly.

This marked a historical first .. an event unprecedented in the annals of time.

Throughout recorded history, demons had always been the aggressors, launching assaults on other races.

The reverse had never occurred.

From the beginning of existence, no force had ever dared to assault the demons within their own territory .. and the cause was straightforward.

Their might was immense.

Frighteningly immense.

Even their accursed ruler held power that no one else in existence could rival.

However, on this day—for the initial occasion—the longstanding norm shattered.

The crimson heavens over Helmond faded into the far-off distance, utterly overshadowed as the Great Ones charged ahead with ferocious drive toward the Tower of the End.

These Great Ones weren't born of nature.

Every one bore a shape completely alien from the rest .. resembling otherworldly horrors pulled from a separate dimension.

Still, their hideous looks weren't the source of dread.

Rather, it stemmed from the immense force each radiated.

A force paired with bellows and wails that rang like apocalyptic trumpets.

The Great Witch Izalith soared next to the Tower of the End, horror carved into her features.

Simultaneously, the Eighth-Rank Upper Demon, Yosefka, appeared too, rallying the protective forces.

Her face reflected Izalith's precisely.

Their foes defied all logic.

At least fifty Great Ones pressed onward in unison.

"All of them… advanced SSS-tier existences," Izalith declared, her tone quivering.

Though she ranked among the Ten Upper Demons, she doubted her ability to overcome even a single such entity.

Much less fifty.

Regardless of their evaluation .. this spelled total disaster.

Nevertheless, the Great Ones' rush, along with the dread seizing the demons…

Everything halted for an instant.

For every being in Helmond caught the sound of his voice.

The Demon King's voice.

He laughed.

Laughed with wild abandon.

A cruel cackle that resounded across the realm.

In Izalith's sight .. and in the sight of all demons there ..

Agaroth ascended gradually into the air, placing himself solitary at the forefront, squarely confronting the horde of Great Ones bearing down on him.

The Demon King inspired awe.

Darkness cloaked his frame, his ebony locks lashing wildly about.

His scarlet gaze burned fiercely, as if peering past the world's very limits.

Yet for all his grandeur, he seemed nearly trivial against that legion of Great Ones.

Akin to a lone shadow defying a colossal wave that devoured the firmament.

And still ..

The Demon King seemed at ease.

No—he seemed delighted.

"How long has it been… how many years have passed since I last felt this sensation?"

Gradually, Agaroth extended his arms broadly toward the Great Ones.

"Killing intent directed at me from every side.

The sounds of war declared against my existence.

Creatures with enough audacity to stand before me."

His grin stretched further .. contorting into a nightmarish expression.

The Great Ones had closed the distance, having razed all in their route and slain innumerable demons en route.

The initial confrontation loomed.

It seemed the whole heavens might crash down upon Agaroth.

The Demon King focused his scarlet eyes, scanning each adversary arrayed against him.

In his rear ..

The Tower of the End loomed steadfast, surrounded by the finest of demon warriors.

Izalith and Yosefka refrained from advancing.

The Demon King prepared to engage directly.

They knew Agaroth's true nature more than anyone.

No matter the apparent peril.

No matter the horrifying spectacle.

The collective dread from the Great Ones…

Failed to eclipse the dread of the Demon King mirrored in their gazes.

A solitary figure barred an onslaught of unfathomable entities.

And then ..

The disaster ignited.

In under one second, Agaroth unleashed his total aura.

The unyielding might of a beast untouched by loss.

His aura's weight was total.

Smothering.

Domineering.

Reality cracked around him, the energy bursting forth in every direction until it blanketed all of Helmond.

At that moment ..

All demons plummeted from above.

They slammed into the earth, driven to kneel—not willingly, but irresistibly.

Each buckled beneath the Demon King's sheer dominance.

Even Izalith and Yosefka fought hard merely to stay upright in his wake.

The Great Ones withstood his aura .. and kept pressing forward.

But as those horrors neared him—

An inconceivable event unfolded.

The Demon King's form burst apart.

It fragmented explosively ..

And from inside…

Burst forth hundreds—nay, thousands—of enormous maws.

Hideous, twisting, shadowy horrors of vast proportions.

These monstrosities surged from the Demon King, slamming into the Great Ones without hesitation or pity.

The entities that had darkened the skies with their bulk found themselves encircled in an instant by the shadowy horde.

Shadows swallowed Helmond.

And the conflict erupted.

The Great Ones battled those ebony horrors, obliterating each other in a savage and ghastly frenzy.

A fight defying understanding ..

defying reason entirely.

What Agaroth had set loose was among his myriad powers: an ability to reshape his own body freely, tailoring it to the threats he encountered.

Through this, in less than a second, he overpowered the Great Ones—creatures who had appeared unbeatable only moments earlier.

In the turmoil, Agaroth's true shape reformed amidst the Great Ones, still entangled with the myriad dark maws.

Positioned among them, Agaroth bellowed—his cry booming like a storm.

"Come to me!

All of you!!"

His right fist blazed with furious, inky fires, as his left palm shimmered with thick, corrupt dark aura.

Releasing his colossal strength, Agaroth smashed into one Great One, landing a direct hit ..

and the deafening strike vaporized half the Great One's form.

Agaroth wielded his aura with horrifying velocity.

In a flash, countless dark maws lunged at the Great Ones, firing focused aura strikes as deadly rays that stabbed through them from all angles.

Myriad columns of shadow exploded at once, boxing them in completely.

In just seconds, the Great Ones stood fully besieged.

The Demon King's ruinous reach was devastating .. petrifying.

That one barrage could eradicate a whole society.

Grasping the dire peril ..

The Great Witch Izalith rushed forth without delay, unleashing her utmost strength and merging it with her Blood Soul.

Drawing on all her reserves, blood gushed from Izalith's form like a massive wave, rushing to swallow the arena where Agaroth and the Great Ones fought fiercely.

As her blood enclosed them, Izalith commanded it—forcing the liquid skyward, erecting enormous red barriers that soared so tall they breached the clouds.

Within seconds, Izalith managed to seal off the ruinous effects entirely, safeguarding the demons and Helmond alike with her might.

Breathing heavily, the Blood Witch barely held her footing.

Should the Demon King battle unbound ..

Helmond might perish in the crossfire.

Knowing that awful reality, Izalith wished fervently for a quick resolution to the fray.

Yet Agaroth ignored her pleas.

As he did every demon's.

For nothing mattered to him now ..

Save the clash raging in his view.

The Demon King darted like lightning, leaping from one Great One to the next.

His attacks were ridiculously swift and ruinously forceful ..

every impact hurling Great Ones away the instant it landed.
