THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 750: Chrono Guillotine

Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
Gehrman and Abraham shifted to the offensive, launching rapid strikes with frost aura and light sword against Amon, only for the demon to deflect them with ease. At close range, Amon's flash punches forced a desperate counter, the duo intercepting the blows through barriers while suffering severe damage—Abraham's body disintegrating in parts yet enduring to draw the demon's focus. Gehrman, expending his frost without effect, devised a plan to inject it internally using limited temporal powers, as the relentless clash escalated with Amon poised to end the battle.

"I’ve got you at last!"

In that brief moment—surrounded by a barrage of crushing strikes—Amon’s eyes bulged wide as his arm stopped dead in mid-swing, gripped tightly by Gehrman’s iron-like grasp.

"He grabbed my arm even with the velocity of my attack?"

Amon felt real astonishment, but he failed to see what benefit Gehrman could possibly extract from holding him back.

In truth, Amon could break loose in mere moments, thanks to the enormous gap in their bodily might.

The demon remained unaware that this short touch served only as the trigger needed to trigger a specific skill.

Amon comprehended it only after the point of no return .. when a horrifying surge of aura burst forth from Gehrman’s form.

Gehrman’s gaze ignited with a fierce azure glow while his aura surged outward, fully encasing Amon.

"Chrono Guillotine."

At long last, Gehrman revealed the reality-shattering technique he had kept hidden up to this point.

Chrono Guillotine .. an overwhelming force that made Gehrman’s aura burst wildly in every direction, and then, within under one second ..

It all gathered tightly around Amon, who unleashed his maximum strength to shield himself.

Amon sensed that the impending event was far from ordinary. He stopped holding back and entered total focus.

His outburst of complete power caused Abraham and Gehrman to flinch back a bit, understanding now that their foe had been messing with them from the start.

Nevertheless, the moment had already passed.

With the skill now triggered, Amon had zero way to counter it.

"Resist all you want... it won’t matter. Not even the Demon King could halt it after activation."

During those quick instants, matching Gehrman’s declaration ..

Amon experienced a wave of confusion.

The fabric of reality started to shake near him, and near his ear rang an odd noise.

The sound of clock gears—ticking steadily, decelerating more and more... until everything stopped dead.

Simultaneously, Gehrman’s energy fully covered Amon, forming a round circle above the demon’s torso.

A circle resembling a clock .. with its pointers stuck motionless.

Right then, an unbelievable event unfolded.

Amon stood utterly still, his whole form shifting to gray ..

Gray amid a realm brimming with hues.

"He... froze?" Abraham whispered in disbelief at the scene before him.

On the other side, Gehrman dropped to the earth as his body fractured more and more, fighting to regain his breath.

"Chrono Guillotine... hooof."

Gehrman let out a heavy sigh while pushing himself upright once again.

"This skill lets me tamper with the idea of time for one selected foe. The victims get locked in an enclosed emptiness devoid of time."

"Put simply, I can halt them solid in the real world—although how long the halt lasts varies by person."

"Regular folks stay stuck forever, unable to escape. The strong ones... they break out after some duration."

"That cursed Demon King escaped quickest .. it held him for just ten seconds."

Gehrman explained as he gathered the final bits of energy still within him.

"I’m far from peak condition... the halt won’t endure much."

"Quick—hit him with all your might!" Gehrman yelled while his punch ignited with a massive surge of icy aura.

"The real power of this skill is the chance it creates .. to strike him defenseless!"

"In this short window, we have to deal maximum harm!"

Upon hearing that, Abraham paused briefly, awed by Gehrman’s fighting prowess.

"By touching them, he can stop time on one target he picks... leaving the enemy totally immobile."

"The shortest time for this skill is ten seconds—because Agaroth is probably the mightiest being here, and nobody escapes quicker than him."

"Essentially... whoever gets hit by this is pulled from the material realm—where time moves as usual—for no less than ten seconds straight!"

"This lets Gehrman land devastating blows on his rival with zero risk of counter or protection."

"Or if he skips the fight—he can just flee as his adversary stays locked."

A fearsome... flawless skill.

Chrono Guillotine.

Ruler’s Hand.

It was only then that Abraham fully realized the true dread of the Engineer .. Saint Gehrman, the unchallenged top figure in the Shadow Sect.

"...Incredible," Abraham whispered softly.

Next, he refocused his mind .. no more time for wonder.

Pulling together the very last of his remaining energy, Abraham funneled it all into his blade, even pausing the healing of his lost arms and legs.

"Stardust: Abraham Starlight Style—Star of Purification!"

Abraham released the ultimate attack technique from his whole repertoire ..

As Gehrman hammered away with the highest level of his icy aura.

All their force aimed straight at Amon’s immobilized figure.

BOOOOOOM!!!

Their joint barrage tore a huge gash across the void of space, slamming down with horrifying might onto Amon’s vulnerable shape.

"Keep attacking!"

Following Gehrman’s order, he and Abraham kept up their ruthless barrage without holding back.

Amon got hurled wildly by the raw force of the strikes—his mask broke into pieces entirely, and his frame took devastating wounds.

Gehrman and Abraham offered no pity, pouring out all their power ceaselessly.

Thus, the moments ticked away—one by one—flying past in a savage haze under the nonstop pounding they delivered.

At last... precisely thirty-nine seconds later ..

The clock split open.

Amon’s liberation had come.

Noticing that, Gehrman and Abraham landed their ultimate hit, flinging him away until he smashed through a nearby peak and slumped there in a pitiful pile.

In another spot, Gehrman and Abraham gasped for air, completely drained from unleashing all they had in that fury.

Chrono Guillotine finally broke apart, and time began moving again inside Amon’s body .. yet the demon stayed down, unmoving with no hint of stirring.

Witnessing that, Abraham plunged his sword into the dirt, leaning on it to stay on his feet.

"Honestly... I never believed we stood a shot against that beast," Abraham admitted plainly.

"But with everything we threw... he won’t rise again, will he?"

Even the most formidable entities would endure terrible injuries from withstanding such a prolonged, unified beating.

His logic held firm.

Still, Gehrman appeared far from certain.

"Stay vigilant right up to the finish."

As soon as Gehrman cautioned Abraham ..

A sudden sense of deep unease hit both of them.

And their gut feelings proved spot on.

The demon materialized abruptly right between them, grinning.

"Indeed... underestimating me is not a wise decision."

Gehrman and Abraham spun around in alarm .. but Amon left them no opening.

He lashed out right away, knocking them both airborne with only two hits.

Now standing fully exposed, Amon revealed his true self.
