Previously on The Vampire & Her Witch...
Micheline questions her aunt Maela about their suspicious carriage ride and their mysterious companion Marcel. Maela guides Micheline to realize that Marcel is using them to manipulate Micheline's father, but that their safety is paramount to his plan. Maela also reveals that their secretive travel is due to the unstable political situation in the march, where Ashlynn's control is not yet absolute. As they approach Lothian, Maela reflects on past personal tragedies and the importance of quick judgment and trust.
