The Supreme Martial King Shocking All Realms Chapter 3155 - 3150: Long Time No See, Are You Well?_1

Previously on The Supreme Martial King Shocking All Realms...
Yang Chen and Ji Yue Shuang arrived at Bi Shuangxing, where Lin Tianyi and Han Bo warned them about the formidable Xuan Zhen. Yang Chen, however, expressed a desire to meet Xuan Zhen. Han Bo then arranged for them to scout the East City District, where they were guided by Guo Huaian. Yang Chen observed the various mines, learning about their value and the coveted Liuli Ore. Discovering a strategically important mine recently attacked by Xuan Zhen and now abandoned, Yang Chen declared his intent to guard it and confront Xuan Zhen.

Guo Huaian’s speech hadn't fully concluded, yet the underlying message was already unmistakable.

He was essentially questioning how much certainty Yang Chen possessed regarding a confrontation with Xuan Zhen.

A victory would be ideal, but if they proved no match for the enemy, the local garrison members would be the ones to pay the price. Even forcing a stalemate would result in a net loss for them.

Furthermore, achieving a draw seemed impossible; at this moment, no human cultivator was capable of enduring Xuan Zhen’s assault for even the time it takes for a cup of tea.

Yang Chen’s brow furrowed as he grasped Guo Huaian’s implication, his irritation becoming visible.

His own anxieties regarding the clash with Xuan Zhen were entirely different from those of Guo Huaian.

His primary concern was whether he could successfully block Xuan Zhen’s path once the latter’s position was finally pinpointed.

Should their military strength be spread too thin while Xuan Zhen went on a rampage through the mines, how could he possibly lock onto the target and neutralize the threat immediately?

To execute a flawless interception, their forces had to be concentrated, holding a single defensive line while awaiting Xuan Zhen’s arrival.

Yang Chen’s gaze turned frigid: "Brother Guo, simply follow my instructions."

"This..." It was evident that Guo Huaian placed little faith in Yang Chen.

If Yang Chen truly possessed such power, why wasn't he stationed at the vanguard instead of hiding away in the rear?

He remained unaware that Yang Chen’s absence from the front lines wasn't due to cowardice, but necessity. If Xuan Zhen sensed his presence too early, there was no telling what the enemy might do.

Ji Yue Shuang easily read Guo Huaian’s hesitation. Taking Yang Chen’s side, she pouted and said, "Just do as he said."

"This... very well." Guo Huaian might not have respected Yang Chen’s authority, but he did not dare decline Ji Yue Shuang’s request. He nodded with reluctance, his heart heavy with worry for his subordinates' lives.

Secretly, however, he decided that the moment Xuan Zhen appeared, he would command his men to scatter and flee.

Engaging Xuan Zhen was a death sentence; since they couldn't possibly win, why throw their lives away so foolishly?

"Very well, Brother Guo. Just implement my strategy and wait calmly for Xuan Zhen to show himself," Yang Chen stated calmly.

"No problem." Guo Huaian gave a half-hearted response, not taking the words to heart but wanting to avoid further conflict.

Yang Chen ignored the man's attitude. The group returned to the East City District, taking up temporary positions upon the city walls.

As time passed, though the Spirit God Race’s Xuan Zhen had yet to appear, the East City District was plagued by various minor disturbances.

Different foreign races seemed intent on causing chaos, utilizing a wide array of strange and diverse powers that piqued Yang Chen’s interest.

Nevertheless, Yang Chen did not let these distractions sway him, knowing full well that Xuan Zhen was his true objective.

And so, he waited with patience for his rival to emerge.

At last...

After more than ten days had gone by, Yang Chen caught a faint ripple in the atmosphere.

Far beyond the borders of the East City District, a terrifying aura suddenly surged forth. Simultaneously, a massive figure from the Spirit God Race manifested within everyone’s line of sight.

This Spirit God Race warrior was none other than the very Xuan Zhen that Yang Chen knew so well.

Xuan Zhen’s gaze was saturated with bloodlust. Upon reaching the mine, he glared down at the world below like an absolute monarch.

At that same moment, the many cultivators protecting the Earth-made Mine spotted Xuan Zhen.

A mere look from Xuan Zhen sent waves of terror through them; they found themselves unable to meet his eyes, paralyzed by a fear that originated from the depths of their souls.

"You humans truly are a curious lot. I assumed you would have the sense to crawl away and surrender these ore deposits. I did not expect you to have the audacity to remain. Since that is the case, you may surrender your lives instead." As Xuan Zhen spoke, his suffocating aura suddenly exploded outward.

His heart was now consumed by a hatred for humanity. He wanted to kill them all!

He had never harbored such intense loathing before, and it was all due to the man who had bested him in their previous encounter.

Faced with a Boundaryless powerhouse like Xuan Zhen, the group of human Boundaryless cultivators felt no will to resist. The second Xuan Zhen’s overwhelming pressure expanded, they broke formation and fled in a panic.

They had already been instructed by Guo Huaian to run the moment the enemy appeared.

Observing the chaos, Yang Chen sighed and shook his head.

He knew Guo Huaian’s interference had undermined his strategy. Had these people stood their ground together, casualties would have been minimal, as he would have reached the battlefield in short order.

Regardless, there was no time for regrets. He had to step in now, or the defenders of the East City District would be slaughtered by Xuan Zhen.

In a flash, the Boundaryless cultivators scattered in every direction, prompted by Xuan Zhen’s mocking laughter.

"Pathetic. This is the true nature of humans." Watching the retreating figures, Xuan Zhen’s blood boiled with predatory excitement.

He intended to hunt them down, to prove once and for all that the Spirit God Race stood supreme.

"Die!" Xuan Zhen unleashed a palm strike. With a thunderous boom, a Boundaryless cultivator was instantly crushed under the weight of his immense power.

Witnessing this, the remaining cultivators were gripped by even greater terror, fleeing with desperate speed.

"Sir Guo, Xuan Zhen has arrived! He is here!" the fleeing Boundaryless cultivators screamed in terror as they were pursued.

Guo Huaian’s eyes narrowed in fear. He immediately began to run for his life, terrified that Xuan Zhen would target him next.

Yet, just as he prepared to make his escape, two blurs of light cut through the sky above—it was Yang Chen and Ji Yue Shuang.

Guo Huaian faltered for a second when he saw them move, but he still chose to retreat. He had no faith that the pair could overcome Xuan Zhen. He vividly recalled how Ji Yue Shuang had been crushed by Xuan Zhen in less than the time it took to finish a cup of tea during their last meeting.

Meanwhile, in the middle of his hunt, Xuan Zhen sensed an approaching presence.

"Hmm?" Xuan Zhen soon identified the aura and growled, "Ji Yue Shuang? Hmph, you actually dare to face me again? How amusing. I let you slip away last time, but today, you stay right here."

After saying this, Xuan Zhen licked his lips in anticipation.

Ji Yue Shuang looked at Xuan Zhen with lingering dread, yet a strange sense of bravery forced her to stand her ground.

She understood that if she showed weakness, the morale of the others would utterly vanish.

To Xuan Zhen, defeating Ji Yue Shuang was a simple task; she simply wasn't on his level of Cultivation.

But in that instant, Xuan Zhen suddenly detected a hauntingly familiar aura appearing behind him.

"Xuan Zhen, it has been a while. I trust you have been well."

That familiar, chilling voice caused Xuan Zhen’s entire frame to tremble violently.
