The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] Chapter 1301: But Twice?!

"Double-check everything with the surveyors," the grim-faced Vice Principal ordered.
Admittedly, the incident hadn’t caused any serious problems yet.
Those plasma cannons weren’t likely to inflict significant damage on a military battleship with its shields fully operational, and Battalion 10 had been fortunate enough to have someone as unusual as the heir of House Kyros aboard to deal with the unexpected attack and energy drain.
Still, the fact that something like that had apparently been overlooked didn’t sit right with him.
"Yes, Sir," one of the instructors quickly replied. "Though it’s possible they weren’t switched out because the area Battalion 10 entered from is slightly outside the intended exercise course."
He gestured toward the holographic map.
"If you look at their entry route, they came in considerably off-course."
"..."
The hastily gathered Royal Military Academy personnel turned toward the enormous holographic map visible beyond the glass walls of the viewing room.
And sure enough, there was some truth to that.
They couldn’t exactly leave an entire mining planet defenseless just because it was temporarily being used for a training exercise. Active defense posts had always been scattered throughout Caldris Minor-7, and there would’ve been little reason to replace or modify weapons in areas the cadets weren’t expected to enter.
"...That’s possible," the Vice Principal finally conceded.
Still, his expression didn’t relax.
"Just to be safe, have them prepare a complete map of every area still marked for regular use, including anything outside our expected scope of operations."
It wasn’t something that had needed to be done before, since most students would’ve simply looked at the given intel and strategized based on that. However, once Battalion 10 made such unusual choices despite having first pick, maybe they should’ve known better than to expect them to follow any kind of logical itinerary.
He stared at Battalion 10’s position on the holographic display and could only pray the others wouldn’t get the same unhinged ideas.
"These kids... who knows where they’ll decide to enter from?"
It was, admittedly, a perfectly understandable concern.
Though perhaps the examiners should’ve been slightly less worried about the remaining cadets might decide to enter Caldris Minor-7 from...
And considerably more concerned about whether some of them would manage to enter at all.
Because back at CM7-OOS, the increasingly chaotic fighting or worse, the lack of it, was already beginning to drive several people completely insane!
__
"Keep exerting your spiritual energy, dammit! Are you seriously telling me we’re going to get stalled by another spiritual barrier?! You’ve got to be shitting me!"
One thoroughly annoyed Battalion 3 Platoon Leader felt like strangling someone.
Unfortunately, he was already too drained from continuously using his spiritual ability against their unexpected roadblock to spare the energy!
"Ugh... It’s not as strong as the one from that Kyros kid!" another senior cadet shouted back, heavy beads of sweat rolling down his forehead. "We’re already seeing cracks, but I don’t know how much longer we can keep this up!"
"Don’t you dare slack off, you punk!" the Platoon Leader snapped, eyes blazing. "All you had to do was keep those big eyes of yours open, but you couldn’t even manage that for a few seconds, and now we’re trapped in here! How could you miss someone so big Dammit!"
"..."
He was never going to live this down.
Getting trapped once was bad enough.
But
The first time back at the Academy had at least caught everyone off guard.
Of course, they’d known the members of DG operated on a level most cadets couldn’t even begin to comprehend, which was the main reason their schools could get away with forcing something as absurd as having seniors join what was supposed to be an all-freshman exercise hosted by academy.
Moreover, everyone had seen videos of the parade, as well as footage of them practically wiping the floor with the Federation elites. So how could they not know?
But maybe that was precisely the problem.
Watching something through a stream and experiencing it in person were two completely different things.
What looked like sheer fighting prowess on a screen felt far more like pure, oppressive force when you were the one standing in front of it!
So yes, they’d been pissed about getting locked out of their own battleship by a barrier none of them could tear down.
But at least hundreds of other seniors had shared in that humiliation!
This time?
Their particular platoon, not even their entire battalion, had somehow fallen for another trick and gotten themselves trapped behind a clearly weaker spiritual barrier.
That was an entirely different kind of slap to the face.
Especially when none of them had expected these freshmen to attempt their own version of a scam!
By Battalion 3’s estimates, they should’ve been the fourth group to reach CM7-OOS.
All things considered, that was still an enviable arrival time, especially when compared to several battalions whose battleship entrances hadn’t even been blocked at the Academy.
When they approached the Orbital Station and discovered the entire facility in a state of alarm, they’d naturally become suspicious.
But there weren’t any other battleships in sight, and even their scans showed nothing out of the ordinary. As seniors who’d already experienced being outwitted by their sly predecessors, they were jaded and wary enough to imagine all sorts of possibilities.
However, considering how ridiculously strong those freshmen were, yet seemingly too nice and naive to make full use of their abilities against everyone else and end the entire thing back at the Academy grounds, Battalion 3 had assumed they’d simply rushed through whatever they needed to do before continuing toward Caldris Minor-7.
Honestly, it had been a little disappointing.
They’d been hoping to catch at least Battalion 8 or 9 on the way out, since both had departed shortly before them. But by the looks of things, those groups had probably finished everything in record time too.
Well.
That was what members of Battalion 3
Until the thirty-man platoon they’d sent inside to retrieve their share of the supplies, while everyone else prepared for the inevitable arrival of more battalions, ended up getting tossed around like furniture in what could only be described as an indoor hurricane!
