Previously on The Oracle Paths...
Jake struggles with the moral implications of his power, doubting if he could have prevented the collateral damage from his fight against Anthace's avatar. Though he feels responsible, he places ultimate blame on the aliens orchestrating the Ordeals. He then arrives to find Melkree and Azeus safe but troubled by Anthace's seemingly indestructible avatar, which finally dissipates. Jake realizes it was not the Titan Tree's true body and confirms he inflicted a real psychic wound. As he prepares to leave, he confronts Albert, a former subordinate of Melkree, accusing him of being an imposter.
