The Martial Emperor with Dragon Blood Chapter 1307 - 1308: Ye Mo’s True Identity (Part 2)
Previously on The Martial Emperor with Dragon Blood...
Ye Mo found it incomprehensible, especially with his current cultivation level. Even Mu Longwu had been astonished back then when the Rising Dragon Pillar had chosen him in infancy. It suggested he was indeed extraordinary.
However, Ye Mo understood that only through relentless cultivation and advancing his power would he ever unravel all these mysteries.
"Mother, I understand. After hearing your words, I feel my cultivation journey has truly just begun. I must apply myself even more diligently," Ye Mo declared.
"Mo'er, the path of cultivation knows no end. Once you set foot on it, never falter. I can feel that one day, you will ascend to unparalleled heights, earning the admiration and reverence of all," Zi Ning stated. "However, you must remain exceedingly cautious. Your identity is exceptionally unique, making you a target for many you are unaware of. These unseen adversaries will undoubtedly become obstacles on your cultivation path."
"Those who dare oppose me will merely become stepping stones. Xue Wudi, the Soul Master – they will all fall," Ye Mo's eyes blazed with fierce determination.
After conversing with Zi Ning, Ye Mo felt a surge of emotion. A powerful urge to journey to the Wraith Land consumed him. Yet, he resisted the immediate impulse, choosing instead to return to the Five Element League to consolidate its structure.
Vast quantities of Immortal Artifacts had been amassed by Ye Mo within the Vanquishing Martial Realm, artifacts capable of significantly bolstering the Five Element League's might. Furthermore, he resolved to relocate the League's headquarters back to the Zone of Desolation, a move that would dramatically elevate its standing.
His aim was to cultivate unwavering faith, not through force, but through voluntary devotion, fostering a belief in him across the land. The greater the number of Spirit Supreme he amassed, the stronger he would become, and his cultivation speed would accelerate considerably.
Without the power of Spirit Supreme, achieving his current level would have been an impossibility.
Xiao Yue, the Sect Master of the Profound Heart Sect, also relocated her sect to the Zone of Desolation. The presence of these two major powers heralded an era of unprecedented prosperity for the region.
...
As twilight descended, Ye Mo returned to his abode. A full month had elapsed since the arrival of the exchange students from the two continents.
Xiao Yue and the other women had prepared a sumptuous feast in Ye Mo's honor.
"Yueyue, I'm home," Ye Mo announced. His entire day had been consumed by the Five Element League, primarily administrative matters, a task more draining than cultivation itself. Yet, upon seeing Xiao Yue, all the day's weariness evaporated.
"Welcome home, Family Head!" Xiao Yue inclined her body gracefully, her demeanor as gentle as flowing water. The other women were equally attentive to Ye Mo's needs.
"Ye Mo, do you intend to remain immersed in the Five Element League indefinitely?" Xiao Yue inquired, placing a morsel of food into Ye Mo's bowl. "Although the continent is stabilizing, you are keenly aware of the lurking dangers better than any of us."
"I will remain until the Five Element League is thoroughly reorganized. My cultivation has stagnated due to excessive comfort. It's uncertain when I'll achieve a breakthrough to the Divine Venerate Realm," Ye Mo replied, savoring the food Xiao Yue offered. "I have my own strategies."
A journey to the Wraith Land presented considerable dangers. His intention was to venture there alone and in secrecy; otherwise, given Xiao Yue's nature, she would undoubtedly insist on accompanying him.
Moreover, the Wraith Land was uniquely suited for cultivating wraith energy. If one's cultivation technique did not align with dark attributes, profiting from such an environment would be minimal, rendering cultivation exceedingly arduous.
For instance, the Power of Death and the Giant Mu Powers were forces leaning towards darkness, offering limited compatibility with wraith energy.
"Ye Mo, your life is truly the envy of many," a voice chimed in. Feng Chu, accompanied by Bai Xueqin, had arrived.
Observing Xiao Yue and the other women dining with Ye Mo, he couldn't resist a lighthearted jest.
Ye Mo turned towards Feng Chu and extended an invitation: "Care to join us for a meal?"
"No, thank you. It has been quite some time since I last indulged. If I partake now, I fear I might become accustomed to it, and my focus remains on breaking through to Half Honor," Feng Chu declined with a wave, taking a seat nearby with Bai Xueqin.
"What brings you to my residence today?" Ye Mo inquired, his tone shifting.
Unlike himself, Feng Chu was unburdened by managing a league or juggling multiple identities; his sole focus was cultivation. His visit undoubtedly had a purpose.
"We are planning to undertake training within the foremost of the Ten Great Dangerous Lands on Lingwu Continent, the Polu Ancient Land. It is the only place where one can encounter Divine Venerate Realm Demon Beasts. We sought your counsel, as our current strength is insufficient to contend with them," Feng Chu stated casually.
Entering the Polu Ancient Land is akin to seeking death. The demon beasts dwelling there are in the Divine Venerate Realm, far surpassing ordinary opponents. If they were to join forces with Ye Mo, their journey would undoubtedly be much safer.
"Polu Ancient Land?" Ye Mo's brow furrowed. He had indeed heard of this place; it was known as the most perilous among the Ten Great Dangerous Lands on the Lingwu Continent, uniquely harboring demon beasts of the Divine Venerate Realm. These formidable creatures wield immense raw power and launch devastating spiritual attacks, making it an exceedingly treacherous destination that even seasoned Divine Venerate Realm cultivators hesitate to enter.
However, with his impending journey to the Wraith Land, he found himself unable to join them for training in the Polu Ancient Land.
"Ye Mo, Feng Chu's suggestion is excellent. Perhaps only such an environment can facilitate our next breakthrough. Otherwise, it might prove difficult to catch up to Xue Wudi," Xiao Yue chimed in, lending her support to Feng Chu's proposal.
Yet, Ye Mo appeared contemplative, a troubled expression clouding his features.
"Ye Mo, what troubles you?" Xiao Yue inquired, her voice laced with concern.
"Sigh." Ye Mo let out a heavy sigh. "Do you recall why I forfeited my initial opportunity to enter the Wraith Land? Considering my disposition and my current strength, I was a perfectly suitable candidate."
The others present could only shake their heads in response.
"In truth, I've discovered an alternative method to access the Wraith Land. My intention is to proceed there covertly, to unravel the secrets of the Dead Soul Royal Family and to hone my skills through gained experience," Ye Mo revealed.
He had not initially planned on sharing this information, but since his departure was inevitable, he decided to disclose his intentions to alleviate their potential anxieties.
"So that's the situation." Feng Chu nodded understandingly. "It appears you intend to venture forth alone."
"Precisely. The cultivation environment within the Wraith Land is vastly different from that of the Lingwu Continent. I will be entering through an inter-continental rift, a path fraught with extreme peril. With your current cultivation levels, accompanying me would present an immense challenge," Ye Mo confirmed with a nod.
Xiao Yue took Ye Mo's hand, a gentle smile gracing her lips. "Go, then. While I cannot accompany you on this journey, the sisters and I will eagerly await your safe return."
"Ye Mo, you must return safely."
"Rest assured as you head to the Wraith Land; we will manage everything else in your stead," Yao Yue, Qi Ying, and the others pledged collectively.
They understood that, with the exception of Xiao Yue, they might not be able to journey alongside Ye Mo for the entirety of his path. After all, Ye Mo pursued the pinnacle of martial arts with an extraordinary talent that set him apart.
Nevertheless, they too were martial artists with their own distinct aspirations. For instance, Yao Yue was dedicated to managing the Five Element League, and Qi Ying had her own ambition to skillfully govern the Tianwu Kingdom. They were not merely women reliant on a man; each possessed her own driving purpose and the potential to one day achieve heights that others could only dream of.
"This time, I shall allow the Dead Soul Royal Family to witness the true capabilities of Ye Mo," Ye Mo declared, his gaze gradually intensifying.
