Ye Mingtian and his son Ye Xuan arrive at Xuan Sect. Elders residing in coffins on Hundred Coffin Cliff discuss Ye Xuan's possession of an Immortal Treasure and the World Tree. The sect leader, Yan Jingyun, is ordered to stop Ye Mingtian from taking Ye Xuan to the land of millennia and to negotiate for the treasure. Ye Mingtian, however, disrespects Yan Jingyun and claims he will handle the elders himself if necessary, even if it means rebellion.

Sensing the powerful confidence radiating from his son, Ye Mingtian ceased his insistence and nodded, stating, "Very well, let’s father and son go together and witness what those elders intend."

"Ye Mingtian!"

Yan Jingyun was instantly jolted awake. The Cang Ancestor had explicitly ordered them not to resort to force.

Yet, the current turn of events was even more disastrous than a direct confrontation.

He knew he would inevitably face severe repercussions from the Cang Ancestor if he was blamed for this.

"Sect Leader Yan, do you intend to accompany us?"

Ye Mingtian cast a glance at Yan Jingyun, inquiring with indifference.

Yan Jingyun’s expression grew somber. He opened his mouth but found no words, eventually sighing in resignation, "Forget it, do as you please. After all, my position as Sect Leader holds no sway over you."

While this sentiment was the blunt truth, Yan Jingyun was deeply reluctant to acknowledge it. Nevertheless, a fact remained a fact, leaving nothing further to be said.

Following the events of today, even if the Cang Ancestor spared him, he would tender his resignation, relinquishing his role as the Sect Leader of the Xuan Sect.

He was growing old.

The current era no longer belonged to him.

Disregarding Yan Jingyun entirely, Ye Mingtian proceeded directly towards Hundred Coffin Cliff, accompanied by Ye Xuan and the Qiankun Ancestor.

En route, Ye Mingtian’s countenance remained impassive as he remarked, "These elders have lingered for far too long, seemingly having forgotten the chill of death, seeking trouble on a daily basis."

"The longer one lives, the greater the illusion that they can command everything."

Ye Xuan offered a serene smile, articulating slowly, "And this, precisely, proves they haven't lived quite long enough."

A short while later, the trio arrived at Hundred Coffin Cliff.

Hundred Coffin Cliff.

An profound silence permeated the area.

The gentle breeze lacked any hint of warmth.

Coffins, meticulously crafted from Longevity Divine Wood, were suspended precariously from the cliff faces.

An atmosphere of profound eeriness prevailed.

"I have arrived."

Ye Mingtian’s voice broke the stillness, his words echoing through the chasm of the cliffs.

Moments later.

Silhouettes began to materialize above the suspended coffins, settling into positions and fixing their gazes upon Ye Mingtian.

"Little Tian."

The elder, Cang Ancestor, his hair as white as snow, was the first to appear. He addressed Ye Mingtian with a slow, measured tone.

The other ancestors, after briefly observing Ye Mingtian, shifted their attention to Ye Xuan.

In comparison, their curiosity was piqued more by this young man.

Though they remained detached from worldly affairs, they were not entirely unaware of significant occurrences within the heavens and earth.

For instance…

The downfall of the Spider Emperor.

The demise of Ling Xiao.

And they were all cognizant that Ye Xuan played an instrumental role in these events.

"Did you dispatch Yan Jingyun to summon me?"

Ye Mingtian directed a cold gaze at Cang Ancestor, inquiring deliberately.

Cang Ancestor offered a faint smile, replying, "There is no need for such anger. We are not here to usurp your son’s Immortal Treasure, but rather to propose a negotiation."

Ye Mingtian responded with a chilling grin, "Then, first, extricate yourselves from those coffins before we discuss any terms."

Upon hearing this, Cang Ancestor’s eyes narrowed slightly, and a terrifying aura emanated from him as he declared, "Little Tian, mind your station."

Ye Mingtian’s hand tightened around his Broadsword, angling it slightly as he grinned and countered, "Then enlighten me, what exactly is the station of Ye Mingtian?"

Cang Ancestor stared intently at Ye Mingtian, his gaze growing increasingly serious.

"Father, we are civilized individuals. Let us not be overly aggressive,"

Ye Xuan interjected at that precise moment.

Ye Mingtian glanced at Ye Xuan, rolling his eyes in mild exasperation.

Yet, he grasped his son’s underlying intention and sheathed his sword, shaking his head as he conceded, "Very well. Since my little Xuan has spoken, I shall adopt a civilized demeanor today and engage in reasoned discourse."

"No, no, no. Father, you misunderstand,"

Ye Xuan countered, shaking his head.

"Eh?" Ye Mingtian appeared taken aback.

"They are not even worthy of negotiating with me," Ye Xuan stated with a calm smile.

The entirety of Hundred Coffin Cliff fell into an even deeper silence upon his words.

In the ensuing moment, another wave of formidable aura erupted abruptly.

"Youngster, although you possess the aura of a Great Emperor, you are still a considerable distance from attaining that status. To vocalize such sentiments at this juncture is indeed presumptuous,"

From atop another coffin, a hunched old woman slowly spoke, her voice low and raspy, laced with undisguised contempt.

"An interesting young man."

The youth adorned with jade pendants on his ear tilted his chin slightly, a sneer playing at the corner of his lips.

"Is that so?"

Ye Xuan maintained his serene smile and instructed, "Little Qiankun, commence by dismantling two of these coffins."

"Understood!"

Behind him, the Qiankun Ancestor grinned and moved with astonishing speed. His robe billowed outwards, swirling in the air like a divine spear piercing the heavens. It split into two, hurtling towards the two nearest coffins.

The ancestors residing within those two coffins reacted with impressive alacrity, raising their hands to intercept the assault at the earliest moment. Divine light erupted, clashing instantaneously.

'Bang! Bang!' With two resounding impacts, those two coffins were obliterated in an instant.

Although the Longevity Divine Wood is invaluable, its defensive capabilities are lacking, easily shattered by even a Saint Realm practitioner.

In the immediate aftermath, two figures, resembling 'corpses', descended from the coffins.

Concurrently, at this precise moment, the two silhouettes returned to their dormant 'bodies', their eyes slowly fluttering open. With this awakening, an ancient and formidable aura began to surge with incredible speed.

"Seeking your own demise!"

Ye Xuan commanded the Qiankun Ancestor to strike without hesitation, an action that instantly ignited the fury of the Xuan Sect ancestors stationed at Hundred Coffin Cliff.

Their gazes burning with rage, they unleashed a unified, terrifying pressure, intending to deliver a harsh lesson to the Qiankun Ancestor.

However, the Qiankun Ancestor appeared utterly unfazed, completely unaffected by their formidable display.

The two resurrected ancestors grew even more incandescent with rage.

Coffins crafted from Longevity Divine Wood represent an exceptional treasure, exceedingly difficult to procure even with vast riches.

Even within the Xuan Sect, their numbers are severely restricted.

For these ancestors, these coffins hold a profound and special significance.

With the coffins now shattered, they found themselves incapable of halting their lifespan from draining, consequently forcing their premature awakening.

It is understandable that every passing second of lost life draws them closer to their inevitable end.

Enough is truly enough!

"My original intention was to engage in a proper exchange with you. However, I did not anticipate such insolence and rashness from your side. Very well, prepare yourselves to witness that there are indeed beings beyond others, and heavens beyond heavens!"

These two awe-inspiring ancestors, as they vocalized their threats, caused infinite Rules of Heaven and Earth to revolve around them. Instantly, it felt as though colossal Worlds were in the process of materializing and subsequently perishing.

One channeled their focus towards Ye Xuan, while the other directed their attention towards the Qiankun Ancestor.

Within their gazes seemed to be contained world-ending, terrifying torrents, projecting an oppressive force of boundless magnitude.

Clang!

Yet, at this critical juncture, Ye Mingtian drew his sword.

The peculiar, dark Broadsword was held at a specific angle by Ye Mingtian. He fixed a cold gaze upon the two ancestors, inquiring, "Do you intend to meet your end here?"

Upon hearing this question, the expressions of all the Xuan Sect ancestors present at Hundred Coffin Cliff underwent a significant shift. They stared intently at Ye Mingtian.

Ancestor Cang then spoke, his voice laced with disbelief, "Mingtian, do you truly intend to betray the Xuan Sect?"

Ye Mingtian responded with indifference, "I am only aware that you intend to deal with my son, Ye Xuan."

Ancestor Cang's eyes gradually hardened, turning cold and fierce. "If you persist in your reckless actions, we will be compelled to teach you a necessary lesson."

A faint smile touched Ye Mingtian's lips as he stated coldly, "Ironically, when I first joined the Xuan Sect, I, Ye Mingtian, was eager to witness the formidable skills of the elder ancestors."

The surrounding atmosphere immediately became fraught with extreme tension.

Ye Xuan’s gaze, however, extended beyond the confines of Hundred Coffin Cliff, piercing towards the distant heavens. He whispered softly, "I had hoped you would exercise restraint."
