The Seven Ancient Families have been called upon to aid in the fight against the Chaos Beasts. Asura has manipulated the situation to force their hand, ensuring the universe watches their response. As more cracks appear in the sky, signaling the imminent invasion, Asura assigns roles to his allies and loved ones, including Miriam, Nadia, and Asha. Meanwhile, the Zorvian Ancient Family arrives with a massive legion, and the formidable warriors Akutaq and Yaxche of the ancient Blood Vampire Clan also appear. Klaus arrives with several of his incarnations, including Paragon and Knox, to strategize the defense. They plan to pressure the Ancient Families into a Blood Oath and prepare for the onslaught, with Asura, Rhazor, Magnus, and Klaus leading the charge.

"Good luck, everyone," Knox said to his incarnations, then he flew into the air, and his bow appeared in his hand. Since he is an archer, he will be fighting like one.

Klaus had long wanted to show his brilliance with the bow.

He had once dominated many battlefields, and today he will show everyone that the Paragon is an existence that cannot be easily understood. His power is on another level of madness.

Magnus also spun his spear and walked toward the legion he would be leading. They number only 14,000, but with a good leader, they will do just fine.

Magnus was the Paragon of War, so those experiences are still with him, and he intends to use them all to minimize the losses on their side.

In this battle, many on Klaus’s side may die, since this level of battle isn’t one they can easily dominate.

Even with aid from the Ancient Families, Klaus knew that whenever the heavens stepped in, there was always death and mayhem. So he is prepared to lose some friends and warriors.

The only upside was that they had all agreed to become undead after they died. Though they will be the same as before, their undead nature will make them slightly inferior to true living beings.

But Klaus was also prepared to make sure he minimized the death toll. This was why he brought all his incarnations and even summoned Asmodeus.

With them working together, they will be able to succeed in pushing back the enemy until the gateway opens and the Asura-born return to the universe.

CRACK

Another crack appeared, and then hordes of beasts poured out, thousands of them at once. The pressure soon descended on everyone.

However, they didn’t cower like bugs.

Instead, Asura lunged forward, the Blood Sword oozing the power of blood as he approached the horde of Chaos Beasts.

Just before they could cross the 200-meter range from the crack, the Blood Sword glowed, and Asura unleashed a powerful arc, cutting through hundreds of Chaos Beasts.

The sky started raining blood, and before long, every last drop moved toward Asura and started entering his body. Their blood essence and the main blood all moved and entered his body.

His body trembled, and waves of pressure soon poured from him.

His strength had also started to rise, and before anyone could make heads or tails of what had happened, Asura had already entered the middle of the approaching horde and started killing.

On the ground, the warriors from the six Ancient Families felt their backs break out in a cold sweat. Clearly, they never expected Asura to be this powerful.

But even if his power is justified, the mere fact that he grows stronger by killing his opponents is something to be scared of. The sheer chill it gave left many wary of him.

But then, a second incarnation moved.

Orion, the Paragon of Death, waved his staff, and thousands of dark strings shot out, stabbing into the approaching horde of Chaos Beasts.

The moment they did, everyone first saw the hordes slow down. Then they could see their bodies start to shake. In no time, they all fell from the sky and crashed into the ground.

In their place, thousands of dark orbs appeared in the air, and with a wave of his staff, they merged and formed a dark formation. The formation instantly moved on its own by shooting more dark strings at the approaching horde.

"T-That is the Death Incarnate Grim Formation," a veteran of the Tarin Ancient Family said, his hands trembling as he pointed at the dark formation.

"No way," the ones who had heard about it trembled. It was said that during the Era of Death, the Paragon of Death possessed a formation that fed on the resentment and death qi of its enemies.

Once the formation is activated, it automatically detects an enemy and acts on its own. The more it kills, the stronger it gets until eventually, it becomes the strongest thing on the battlefield.

While many are evading the strings now, as time goes on, the sheer number of beasts will overwhelm them. But as long as the formation remains activated, the number of beasts that will fall to it will be nothing short of chilling.

Once the Death Incarnate Grim Formation was active, Orion’s staff changed into a sword, and he also charged into battle. Two Paragons had entered the massacre, and already, everyone watching both in person and from home could tell they weren’t weak at all.

Klaus also wanted to make sure everyone understood the true power of a Paragon, and so he first entered the battle with his Asura and Orion.

But he didn’t stop there. Just when the two started getting swarmed, Rhazor moved, and his six Calamity Beast Guards followed.

Aside from them, the Calamity Beasts Klaus found and saved during his mission inside the Jade Nest also moved.

There were about 140,000 of them, and they would be led by Rhazor and his six guards.

They would each lead 20,000 beasts. So the moment they moved, their formation split open, isolating the hordes and creating a separate battlefield for them.

Rhazor didn’t hold back at all. Flames lit up on his skin and broadsword, and like the warrior he is, his attacks were both devastating and bone-chilling.

He knew the more they killed early, the faster both Asura and Orion would grow. After all, one is taking blood essence, while the other is taking death qi. What more could contribute to that if not a true massacre?

"With me," Magnus also moved, and the Earth Beast Legion followed. They also found a part of the battlefield and captured it.

Then Knox also joined the battle, his arrows claiming one beast after another. Nari and Hanna, who are both accomplished archers, felt threatened by Knox’s impeccable flair and finesse when it came to the use of the bow and arrow.

They both looked at each other and smiled... ’Let’s see who can surpass him,’ Nari said telepathically to Hanna, who just smiled and said,

’He is Klaus. Do you really think we can surpass him?’

Just before Nari could respond, they felt another gaze land on them. Turning, they saw Kay smiling back at them.

’Let’s make a bet, ladies. The first to hit a thousand wins. Only Gods and above will be counted.’
