The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1723: Arriving in the Ancient Battlefield
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
All of Klaus’s incarnations are busy, each working to reach a level of power where, when the dangers come, he can handle them without much stress.
Asura had entered the God Ascension Trial, and he was having a good time. Challenging warriors to duels is something he had enjoyed long before he even became the Asura God.
So having the chance to challenge and even kill was an upgrade to what he had in the past. One can even say he had found himself in a place where he could live without getting bored.
He had already passed the first stage and entered the second stage.
Then there was Kaden, who is all the way in the Elemental Garden, doing his best to figure out the next set of his plans. To do that, he had to figure out the power dynamics within Pickle Berry’s family.
Regardless, he had already reached a conclusion, and as such, he chose to trust them. He, after all, needs King Xzeth’s help with his next set of plans, and so trusting them will be his next move.
Aside from him, Knox is currently on his way to the galaxy where the next Starlight lives. The idea is for him to get there, then he would swap places with Klaus.
But since he had been tasked with comprehending the intent of all elements and energies his other incarnations had comprehended, he hasn’t wasted even a single day.
Efad is still hard at work, clearing more Void Vortices. Out of the 12 Void Vortices he would be clearing, he had already cleared 8, leaving him four more to go.
Once the last is cleared, he will finally be able to claim the Void Fate Key and unlock the Ancient Void Race trapped within the Void Gate.
He would become the master of the Void Race, allowing him to command his own legion, just like how Asura will command the Asura Race, and Orion will command the Beast Legion.
Talking about Orion, he was also busy at work, upgrading more of his Beast Legion. Right now, he alone had amassed so much force that if he marched to any battlefield, the ground would tremble under their feet.
Since he had yet to create the remaining three of his incarnations, the rest are busy at work, just like how Klaus himself is busy pleasuring Nyrela.
But while they all have their priorities straight, Rhazor and his team are finally nearing their destination.
He left Planet Caelmir about a month ago with his friends—Danny, Daniel, Jason, Mark, Kilian, Kay, and Miguel. Of course, they also came with their girlfriends. Beside them were his old-time friends from the Primordial Era: Matthew, Yaxche, and Akutaq.
Asmodeus and Gorr also came with them since their mission now is to shake the ranks of the Foreign Race.
This lineup is perfect for what Klaus had planned, so they left the peaceful part of the universe, ready to show their brilliance on the most dreadful battlefield of the recent era.
After travelling for a month, they arrived at the borders of one of the 7 outposts the Human Universe had mounted as the last line of defense against the Foreign Race.
Over the weeks spent flying to their destination, Rhazor had done his research and realized that to move freely, one must be registered at one of the 7 outposts.
He doesn’t care much since he has no plans to mess with the rules. He may be the Paragon, but some rules exist to maintain order.
Of course, he also chose to come to this outpost specifically because of the Guardians here.
He has a history with them since they were two of the people who had tried to hunt him down the most. They went above and beyond to make his 9th incarnation experience hell.
Does he hate them? Of course, he hates them with every bone in his body. They have, after all, contributed to him losing 50% of his Beast Legion during their last battle with the Heavens Court.
However, he doesn’t hate them enough to kill them, not when that would make Ember and Nyrela sad.
They are, after all, parents and grandparents to his new wives, and killing them would not exactly be ideal.
So, since he knew the kind of debt they owed him now that they are aware that they had dedicated their entire lives to a lie under the Heavens Court, he can use that to make his claim.
He wouldn’t forgive them without getting something in return.
So, after going through customs and security checks, they finally managed to dock their ship.
The outpost is rather vast, built like a military base, only that this base is futuristic, packed with thousands of heavy weapons, each strong and powerful enough to handle even Celestials with a single shot.
This told Rhazor that the Human Universe isn’t as weak as one might think. They’ve come a long way, and that is plain as day now.
But aside from the weapons, there are also human warriors, thousands of them, perhaps millions, each armed to the teeth. Most of them are Outpost guards. They are like a military unit posted to the outpost to guard it.
But they make up only 30% of the total number of warriors there. The rest are adventurers like Rhazor and his pals. They all came there to kill and win points, which they can use to claim weapons, cultivation materials, and many more.
Although venturing into the Ancient Battlefield is considered dangerous, it is also a profitable endeavour, so many risk it to come here.
Most come as a team since, from past experience, it is the safest option a warrior could ever pick.
Rhazor had no plans to venture through this place alone, so he came with his own team.
They will first register, and then he will figure out a way to meet the Two Guardians, who he is sure are already aware he will be coming to this outpost.
In fact, they had been expecting him...
