The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1719: A Place Worth Calling Home

The issue of the name change didn’t really spark much debate, since Pickle Berry had accepted that she also liked the name her big brother, Kaden, had given her.

The most important part was that their daughter and sister had returned to their side again.

King Xzeth was happy, so happy that even though he was suspicious of Kaden, he first allowed the joy of his daughter returning home to wash over his heart for now.

He may have stood tall and imposing all these years, but deep within, he missed her so much.

However, what they didn’t know was that after Pickle Berry was swallowed by the spatial rift and Xexaria nearly died from the trap she had walked into, Thokk became furious and went for revenge.

It was through his quest for revenge and blood that he learned of the involvement of the Elemental Empress in all the bad things plaguing the Elemental Race.

So he turned his weapon against her, and his father joined him. A good father would always support their children no matter what.

In the end, they won, but at the expense of their lives in the Primus Universe.

And because they were banished to this place, that also ended their search for Pickle Berry. Now, however, she had returned to them, and they just didn’t know how to feel.

Well, they were happy, very happy, in fact, and looking at the family of six, Kaden could only smile.

Xexaria seemed to possess an affinity for flames, while her twin sister, Namariona, possessed an affinity for lightning. Of course, from what Pickle Berry had said, each of them possessed two affinities.

Kaden sensed that both of them shared the same affinities, meaning Xexaria possessed an affinity for both flame and lightning, and the same went for Namariona.

But Xexaria chose to make flame her dominant affinity, while Namariona made lightning her own.

As for Thokk, he had an affinity for three elements, with ice as his dominant one.

Kaden’s understanding of the elements was very deep, so he could tell that while Thokk hadn’t reached the stage of Extreme affinity for all three elements, his ice affinity had already crossed the Extreme stage.

Beneath it, there were also lightning and flame.

King Xzeth also had four affinities, with his dominant one being lightning, the same as Namariona. He had also attained Extreme affinity for that and Absolute affinity for Flame, Ice, and Metal.

Lastly, the one Kaden was more shocked by was Queen Harxix. She had only two affinities, Ice and Darkness. Considering her alabaster-black hair, Kaden recognised that her dominant elemental affinity was the Darkness Element.

However, while the rest had only attained Extreme affinity for one element in their arsenal, she seemed to have attained that for both elements.

The shocking part was that Kaden sensed a foreign essence in her element, which, for a moment, sent his mind back to the Primordial Era.

He had sensed that energy before, during his adventurous days in the Primordial Era. He first sensed it when he met a being from the Doom Universe.

The energy, from what he had gathered, was called Negative Qi. It was the direct opposite of Spiritual Qi, but as its name suggested, it was bad, extremely bad; in fact, the universe frowned upon it.

Paragon learned it, and when he merged it with Spiritual Qi, the result was very chaotic. He had since discovered that by merging more energies, one could harness a much more dreadful mutation that nobody could look down on.

He could sense that Negative Qi coming from Queen Harxix, and that alone told Kaden that perhaps Pickle Berry’s family wasn’t as simple as he thought.

There was something very mysterious about them, especially her mother, that he had to figure out...

Naturally, he knew exactly how to go about it, since he could already tell Pickle Berry’s family was very grateful to him.

Then again, what he never expected was what Namariona said after she was done hugging her little sister, Pickle Berry.

She walked closer to Kaden and looked at him up close, as if trying to sense something elusive about him.

"You feel and smell like him, but don’t look like him," she walked around Kaden, and when she appeared before him again, she leaned in, bringing her slightly bigger boobs up close...

"Tell me, Kaden, who are you, and why do I feel like you have appeared in my dreams many times?"

King Xzeth and Queen Harxix frowned, hearing what their daughter had said.

They were already aware of what she had said, since time and again, she dreamed of a man with white hair standing atop a tall mountain made of corpses, a red scythe slung across his shoulder, gripped firmly.

Anytime she had this dream, she woke up stronger than she had been before. It started when they were banished to this place. Of course, to make sure she was alright, King Xzeth had searched far and wide to see if he could find traces of the person his daughter dreamed about from time to time, but he never found anything.

Hearing her accuse someone for the first time naturally drew their attention.

Kaden smiled, but he wasn’t the one who replied to her question.

Pickle Berry looked at the expressions on her family’s faces and said, "Big brother is the one you have been dreaming of, big sister. He is the Paragon of the Nine Stars and the person whom I have pledged my life to forever follow through thick and thin."

Hearing Pickle Berry’s answer, all of them narrowed their eyes at Kaden, the space around them suddenly growing dense. But that only lasted for a few seconds before King Xzeth approached Kaden and patted him on the shoulder...

"So you are the Paragon, huh..." His question made it sound like he knew of the Paragon, so Kaden nodded...

"That is indeed me. This body is just one of my incarnations. My main body is still in the Primus Universe."

"I see." King Xzeth thought for a moment, and then he asked...

"How do you plan on going back then..."

To this question, Kaden smiled and turned to Namariona and said:

"Very simple, really, she holds the key to leaving this place,"
