The Elemental Empress learns that Pickle Berry, who possesses seven elemental affinities, has entered her domain. While searching for Pickle Berry, the Empress's forces also identify Franklina, who had recently escorted Kaden and Pickle Berry to Storm Planet. Kaden offers Franklina a choice to accompany them to the Elemental Garden to avoid capture, which she accepts. As they fly towards their destination, they are pursued by a group sent by the Empress.

"Under the command of Her Excellency, the Empress of the Elemental Empire, you have been summoned to the palace on Planet Rainbow." Commanded a Celestial level, Elemental Warrior.

Kaden, Pickle Berry, and Franklina stood in the air, lightning crackling around them. Surrounding them were fifteen Elemental warriors, ten of whom were Supremes and five Celestials.

They didn’t seem hostile, but Kaden knew better than to take them at face value based on their outward expressions.

Inwardly, he could sense their hostile intent, so he knew that regardless of the decision he made, they would insist on taking them back to Planet Rainbow.

But who was Kaden if not someone who had once gone against the Heavens Court and won?

He smiled and replied, "His name was Odysseus, a brave warrior, loving husband, and protective father. His legendary battles spread far and wide, earning him all kinds of praise, and, of course, he unknowingly became the target of the gods."

The fifteen warriors frowned, none of them understanding the head or tail of what Kaden had said.

But before they could say anything, he continued.

"You see, after Odysseus conquered his last exploit, returning home became an issue. The gods didn’t want him to make it back to his family, but who was Odysseus if not someone whose exploits had garnered the attention of the gods? Do you know how hard it is for a mortal to make the gods that agitated."

"How does this have anything to do with your summons by the Elemental Empress?" one of the Celestials asked, his frown deepening.

"Patience, young man, patience." Kaden took a deep breath. "The point here is, like Odysseus, some brave warriors who boldly conquered the previous regime are trapped behind layers of blockages, struggling to find their way home.

Now, the gods have turned their backs on them, but as it happens, I spite the gods, so I have to get them back home. And to do that, I cannot heed the call of the Empress.

But do send her my regards. Make sure she understands that the only reason she sits on the throne now is that I deem her insignificant in my attention. Of course, she can try to mess with me, in which case I will knock on her doorstep, and as they say, the tiger with fangs lusts to taste blood."

Kaden spoke with such a warm smile and calm demeanor that one would think his words were a blessing to the Elemental Empress.

However, judging by the expressions on the faces of the fifteen warriors, one could tell they were pissed beyond measure. Regardless, Kaden had said his piece; the rest depended on them.

"Brat, are you threatening the Empress?"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Auras exploded, and at once the sea began to churn, violet waves surging. Kaden and his teammates sensed a terrifying force slam into their bodies.

Yet before the group could be crushed, something else happened, causing Kaden to smile.

From the depths of the sea, a terrifying seven-headed Storm Hydra surged out, aiming for one of the Supremes who had taken a few steps toward Kaden.

The Storm Hydra went for the kill, but the Supreme was quick to react, jumping from the maws of death. But before the Supreme could evade, a deadly tail slammed into his body, sending him crashing into the sea, his fate left to the countless beasts hidden in the water.

ROAR!

The Storm Hydra roared. Then, sensing the overwhelming power surging from the remaining fourteen warriors, it attacked, forcing them to ignore Kaden, who had already grabbed Franklina and Pickle Berry and started running.

Fighting five Celestials and ten Supremes wasn’t part of his plan, so he ran, knowing his chances of winning were slim.

But he wasn’t retreating because he was weak. He knew that to reach the Gateway, which sat at the center of the Storm Sea, he would have to fight his way through, but also be cautious.

Leaving the warriors to the Storm Hydra was, of course, the most logical move.

"Franklina, can you fight, or should I send you to safety?" Kaden asked, sensing danger approaching from their left flank.

"I can hold my own against a few Supremes, so I will be fine," she replied, and Kaden nodded.

Then he summoned a bow, and just before a Seahorse bathed in purple lightning could reveal itself, an arrow left the bow, embedding itself into the creature’s skull.

The next moment, ten more Seahorses appeared, and the battle began.

Kaden started firing more arrows, killing and repelling the tide of monsters now besetting them.

Franklina summoned a whip and tapped into her lightning element. She started fighting the Seahorses, which now numbered in the forties, each a God-level monstrosity.

She wasn’t overwhelmed, considering her opponents were Gods while she was a Supreme. Regardless, she seemed less hostile and more gentle, which told Kaden she wasn’t bred for battle.

Meanwhile, Pickle Berry was another story. She remained in her cute human form, but she now wielded a snake-shaped spear, killing with such ferocity. She was also clad in an exoskeleton armor composed of the elements of flame, water, and lightning.

As she moved, carnage was left in her wake. She wasn’t holding back, and with her affinity for over five Laws, she was like an unstoppable goddess with endless potential.

Whenever she couldn’t take on an attack head-on, she would use the Law of Gravity to slow down her opponents. And whenever she had the upper hand, she would use the Law of Space to get ahead of them, killing them as swiftly as she could.

Aside from that, she was highly motivated because the place they were trying to reach was where her parents had been banished several years ago.

The sea surged with battle and blood as Kaden and his companions advanced steadily. Before long, Kaden saw the vast churning blackness, which he knew was the Gateway.

The moment he spotted it, he noticed that three of the five Celestials had broken free from the Storm Hydra and were giving chase. Kaden merely smirked and waved his hand, releasing one of his Primordial Flame Spirits, Void.

The moment she appeared, the temperature around them surged. Kaden, knowing what would follow, immediately moved, and his companions followed suit.

Void laughed at the approaching Celestials and the Seahorses charging toward her before unleashing her attack.

She extended her slender hand and manifested a small ball of flame. However, the moment the tiny sphere appeared, everyone present felt a sense of foreboding. Even the Seahorses sensed that their lives were in danger.

Regrettably, they had no time to retreat because before they could even think of it, Void clenched her fist, and the flame ball exploded.

What burst forth wasn’t fire.

In fact, the shockwave was completely invisible. However, as it spread, the Seahorses closest to the blast froze, started to crumble.

As if they had been snapped out of existence by a mad titan, their bodies broke apart into countless sparks, then crumbled to dust.

The three Celestials looked stunned, but unfortunately for them, Void had aimed her attack at them. The Seahorses were merely collateral damage.

As such, despite hastily raising their defenses, the moment the shockwave struck them, their skin first became unbearably hot. Then, as though their bodies were made of rubber, they began to melt.

"WHAT?!"

The horror in their eyes said it all. They had no idea how Void could overpower them so easily. And now that she had, they also had no idea how to defend against such an attack.
