The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1665: A Shameless Mother And A Shy Daughter
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
When Klaus and Ember met during the Star Monarch Era, she was someone full of talent and ambition, yet with unrestrained arrogance. She had the power to rank among the best of her generation and the authority to get anything she wanted.
After all, her parents were powerful Supremes with great influence in the Heavens Court. Perhaps due to this shield around her, she became a bit arrogant.
Whenever she was warned not to do something because of her privileges, she would do it anyway. To her, the idea that she would ever find herself in danger never crossed her mind... until the day it happened.
She and her cohort had ventured into the nest of a very powerful Ant Queen, hoping to score some treasures since ants are known for hoarding them.
Against all the warnings she had received, she went anyway. However, it soon became clear to her that she would die. The nest wasn’t something a bunch of demigods could clear.
Unfortunately for her, when danger came, and she needed her teammates, most abandoned her, each using their own way to save their lives.
In her final struggle for freedom, Efad appeared and saved her.
It was at that moment she changed her ways and started paying more attention. Never in her dreams did she think she would need a Paragon to save her, at least not from someone her parents had been hunting for many years.
Strangely, from the day she was saved by Efad, she started to develop feelings for him, which only grew stronger over the years.
But fate is cruel to her.
Her parents and the Heavens Court had long driven the Paragon far away, making it impossible for her to reach him. In her sorrow, she poured herself into her cultivation, swearing never to depend on anyone ever again.
She had depended on her parents so much that when she needed to make her own decisions, their authority restricted her.
So, for years, she built her strength, tore herself away from the Heavens Court, and when she was invited by some friends to form an organisation of warriors who weren’t afraid to stand for what they believed, she jumped at it, knowing it was her chance to build something for herself.
Years went by, and even after learning Efad had died, she never gave up hope. Today, he had returned to her side, bringing joy and happiness back into her otherwise dull life.
As she embraced Klaus, all the things she had wanted to tell him in the past but couldn’t were conveyed in the hug. Klaus, of course, didn’t mind. He was more than happy to be hugged by such a beauty with a body to die for.
Unfortunately for Nyrela, she had underestimated her mom’s shamelessness. When she told her Efad had nearly become her father and that she still loved him, Nyrela merely shrugged, knowing Klaus wouldn’t even consider paying her mother any attention.
But now, looking at him hug her mom, she knew she might just be wrong about everything.
Luckily for her, after a few minutes of hugging, Lady Ember pulled back, but she slid into Klaus’s arms, holding his hand with a smile on her face.
"Well, it appears you really missed me, Ember, even though we had just met once in the past."
Ember smiled, with a faint blush on her face. "It was only once for you, but several times for me. I have dreamt of meeting you again several times but never had the chance."
Klaus looked at her for a few seconds and said, "Sorry about that. But as you know, the Paragon and the Heavens Court aren’t exactly friends, so I had to be on the move always. And most importantly, I wasn’t mad enough to be around the daughter of two old monsters who have the Heavens Court injected into their bodies."
He laughed and asked,
"By the way, how are your parents? The last time we met, your mother stabbed me in the chest with a poison spear, and your father nearly chopped off my left arm."
Ember blushed in embarrassment, hearing what had transpired between Klaus and her parents. Ember herself, or as most people call her, the Genesis Flame Queen, is now a formidable warrior. However, her parents are on another level.
Her father ranks 14th on the Pseudo-Primordial Ancient Chart, and her mother ranks 17th. They are known as Heaven’s Couple since they have been together since the mortal stage.
Ember managed to reply to him, knowing she could not ask for forgiveness for her parents. "They are fine. Both of them are stationed on the Ancient Battlefield, guarding the Human Pass."
"Oh, in that case, we will be meeting in a month or two."
Ember panicked upon hearing what Klaus said. It appeared he would be going to the Ancient Battlefield, and now that he knew where her parents were, he would probably pay them a visit.
If only she knew Klaus had long left the Human Universe and was now on his way there.
"Relax, Ember. I am not stupid enough to kill two powerhouses who have probably served the universe for millions of years against the Foreign Race," Klaus said, using his finger to shift a few strands of her hair to the side.
"That said, if they attack me, I will defend myself, so they better not."
Ember calmed down a bit. She would have to inform her parents not to act recklessly when they met Klaus. But for now, she had herself to worry about.
After all, Klaus came at her call, and he would leave again, perhaps after a few days, so she wanted to spend all the time she could with him.
"Why don’t we go back inside, where we can have a more relaxed time together? It has been a long time since we met, and I want to spend some time with you."
"Lead the way."
Nyrela, who had been ignored, pouted upon seeing her mother drag Klaus away. However, before she could make a big deal out of it, a gentle force wrapped around her body, and before she knew it, she was in Klaus’s arms, flying toward the mansion situated inside the lava pool.
Her cheeks turned bright red as they flew away.

Meanwhile, several light-years away from Planet Nexarion, the 4th General and the 5th General of the Heavens Legion stood inside a spaceship, speeding toward Planet Nexarion.
A month ago, after the 24 Generals of the Heavens Legion met and discussed their next plans and how to handle the issue with the Paragon, they assigned the 4th and 5th Generals to meet with Klaus and convey their desire to make peace with him.
Of course, discussions would be held later, but for now, they just wanted the Paragon to become aware of their next set of plans and, if possible, to learn how to coexist harmoniously.
Their reputation was in the gutters at the moment, so not having to fight someone who was now everyone’s favourite would surely come in handy if they wanted some peace to focus on the demons.
However, after this meeting, they were willing to rebuild their public image.
So, as the two had shown interest first in coming to a peaceful pact with Klaus, they were now on their way to meet with him.
They had already informed the Genesis Flame Queen.
