Asmodeus successfully summons Khthon, a powerful Primordial Emperor undead, from a cocoon. Khthon reveals that the Great Catastrophe is a test and that the Annihilation Clan are tasked with attacking universes to prevent them from becoming Primal Universes. He also explains that Orion, the Paragon, is the reason this universe is significant and targeted, hinting that rescuing the Origin Dao Seed will bring clarity.

There is only so much a Primordial could say unless they wished to turn the life of the person they were speaking to upside down.

Tribulation Immunity or not, invoking the wrath of the Origin Dao isn’t something Klaus can handle at the moment.

So Khthon couldn’t say much, but he said what needed to be said to give Klaus a fair idea of what awaited this universe and what had to be done.

From what he had said, Klaus became aware of three things.

First, he realized that, of all the universes in the multiverse, the Primus Universe was one of a kind, and, as such, many were interested in it.

Khthon couldn’t say much, but from the little he had revealed, Klaus was now fully aware of the dangers and the opportunities that awaited him in the not-so-distant future.

The Annihilation Clan wished to destroy everything, and the Doomsday Lords also wished to have control over it. He cannot allow that to happen.

The second was the realization that this universe was being held hostage by someone. Khthon didn’t go into it much, but Klaus was smart enough to know that if someone had risked everything to bring someone like the Paragon into this universe, then they needed his help.

Khthon stated that this universe’s Life Seed, or as they referred to it in the outside world, the Origin Dao Seed, had been imprisoned or, in a way, killed, and was being suppressed from ever returning to its rightful place as the heart and soul of the universe.

Without such a seed, it was only a matter of time before the Universe’s core became corrupted.

Klaus could tell this universe was very unique, and so he planned to research it further and work toward reaching the stage where he could traverse the Primordial Chaos.

Khthon stated that not all Celestials (warriors) could traverse that place. The Primordial Chaos was filled with Chaos energy, so before one could travel through it, they needed both the appropriate body and a Chaos affinity core.

Klaus planned to work toward that next because, as someone who thrived on information, he knew he needed more data to understand what the universe had faced and what it would be facing.

As for the third thing, Klaus was now aware of one undeniable truth, and that was his nature as a Paragon.

He was a Child of the Void, born of the Void, and had always been destined to have no home. The Void was boundless, and so his nature as the Paragon existed because the Void itself was rejected by all. To accept the Void was to risk annihilation.

This made him wonder what this universe had sacrificed just to bring him over.

’I need more data, and it can only be found in the Primordial Chaos,’ he sighed before turning to Khthon, who lifted his head and looked at the cracks appearing around him.

"Looks like your time here is drawing near."

Khthon nodded before turning to Asmodeus.

"Master, I have to go for now and prepare a place for you in the Primordial Chaos. Every ten years, I will be able to return to this universe for one hour. During that time, I will gather more materials for you to improve your strength and that of the other undead."

"I understand."

Asmodeus had already planned to send Khthon to the Primordial Chaos since keeping him in this universe would only create problems. As long as he carried the aura of a Primordial around him, it would attract all kinds of danger to everyone.

Klaus’s Uncle Monk might also be a Primordial, but he wasn’t as strong as Khthon. More importantly, he had been able to seal his Primordial essence far better than the newly awakened Khthon.

However, Asmodeus was now an Undead Sovereign, and he needed more materials to create additional Primordial-grade undead. Sending Khthon away had already been part of his plan.

"I will work on ensuring that the next time I return, I won’t reek of Primordial essence as much," Khthon said with a smile before turning to Orion.

"Until next time, Lord Paragon."

"Good luck, and be careful while you’re out there."

He nodded before extending his hand, causing the two crescent blades behind him to move and slash through the space before them. At once, they created a tear that connected to a rainbow-like cosmic sea.

Immediately, many messages started appearing before Orion, causing his expression to change.

<You have discovered the Cosmic Sea.>

<Your Atomic Energy is trying to absorb Cosmic Energy.>

<You have absorbed a large amount of Cosmic Energy.>

<Your understanding of Cosmic Qi has improved slightly.>

<Your understanding of Cosmic Qi has improved greatly.>

<Your understanding of Cosmic Qi has improved tremendously.>

<Congratulations, you have glimpsed a strand of Origin Essence. Your Law affinities have grown stronger.>

Khthon smiled, almost as if he could see what was happening to Orion. The next second, he stepped through the tear, and it closed behind him.

However, before it fully closed, another message appeared before Orion, causing all his other incarnations to smile while staring in shock.

<Congratulations, your Law affinities have improved tremendously.>

<You have experienced two level-ups in your Law Affinity Comprehension.>

Orion could only stare in stunned silence, failing even to notice the Undead Gate opening as hundreds of undead started walking out.

[Cosmic Sea – Outer Borders of the Primus Universe]

The only reason the universe could remain stable and not be devoured by the Void was that it was surrounded by the Cosmic Sea. This Cosmic Sea was what kept the universe stable while it was submerged in the void.

It also prevented the universe from being invaded. Beyond it lay the Universe Ocean, which connected to the Primordial Chaos and every other realm hidden within the Void.

Somewhere within the Cosmic Sea stood a nine-story pagoda. It looked ordinary, but anyone with a deep understanding of the Dao would immediately realize that the pagoda had been built from strands of Dao Essence and reinforced with Cosmic Essence.

Accomplishing something like that required an unfathomably deep understanding of the Dao and Cosmic Qi Laws.

Currently, six people were seated inside a room on the ninth floor, each radiating an aura similar to Khthon’s, perhaps even more potent.

Suddenly, a gate opened in the middle of the room, and Khthon walked out, his crescent blades hovering behind him while his hands were clasped behind his back.

His gaze swept across the room, meeting the eyes of the people seated there.

"Primordials," he muttered, slightly stunned, though he managed to maintain his composure.

Seated in an elegant chair was a pale white man with flowing white hair and a long white beard. He appeared to be in his late sixties. An eyepatch covered one of his eyes, while a raven perched quietly on his shoulder.

He studied Khthon for a moment before speaking.

"Welcome to the Primordial Pagoda. My name is Odin, the co-founder of this organization and the Chief Guardian of the Primus Universe."

Khthon looked at the man for a few seconds before smiling.

"Odin. Now that’s a name I never thought I would hear again."

Khthon smirked, walked over to an empty seat, sat down, and crossed his legs.

"The last I heard, the Parasite and his minions single-handedly whooped your asses, even succeeding in killing the God of War, Ares, and the Calamity Lightning God, Zeus.

How are you still alive, old man?"

Odin and the other five people in the room frowned upon hearing how rudely Khthon was speaking.

Off to the side, a human man with flowing green hair, silver-like skin, and features that made him appear both angelic and demonic scoffed and said...

"The last time I checked, the Great Dual Crescent Blood General of the Annihilation Clan was brought to his knees by five Pseudo-Primordials," Aragorn said with a sneer in the end.

Khthon also frowned, making the atmosphere in the room grow hostile.
