The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1516: Supreme Warrior Sayuri
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
Klaus was not easily swayed by the might of others. His prior existences had introduced him to countless formidable fighters, yet most were insignificant specks before him.
Nevertheless, he had encountered truly remarkable individuals.
The Red Fury (Lily), the Shadowless Assassin (Nia), the Asura Queen (Queenie), and the swordmistress of the Endless Sword Domain (Aoi), among others, had managed to capture his attention.
These figures had all etched their names into the annals of history, prompting wonder about the true nature of their power. To be remembered long after one's passing was a testament to extraordinary capability.
Therefore, if someone garnered Klaus’s acknowledgment, it signified their true impressiveness.
The woman currently regarding him with a composed yet piercing gaze had done just that.
Unbeknownst to many, all those who had earned Klaus’s recognition in the past had either bested him or come perilously close to ending his life.
The primary reason for this was that, upon their encounters, Klaus perceived them as an unyielding barrier. A significant advantage of being a Paragon was the innate ability to discern potential threats to one's existence.
Klaus perceived no deficiencies in these individuals, which led him to acknowledge them as worthy adversaries and dangers to his life. In his estimation, any who could contend with him must possess fewer than five inherent weaknesses.
The lady standing before him presented a threat to his life. Klaus recognized this, and he understood the need for caution. However, events do not always unfold as planned.
She was not the epitome of beauty. While her appearance placed her among the top ten god-grade beauties he had encountered thus far, she paled in comparison to Supreme Queen Mirabel and even Supreme Engineer Winnie.
Nonetheless, her allure was amplified by her sword aura and her physique, particularly the generous proportions of her chest.
Her athletic frame was perfectly complemented by her curves and a rather rounded posterior, sparking Klaus’s curiosity about whether she maintained that shape through dedicated squats.
Her breasts, beautifully accentuated by the green leather attire she wore, caused Klaus to narrow his eyes. Those full orbs were clearly vying for attention, yet she maintained an air of indifference, as if oblivious to their undeniable appeal.
’Ah, what I wouldn’t give to see those marvels liberated from their constraints.’
Klaus shivered, a prickling sensation running down his spine as he felt an intense gaze fixated upon him.
Supreme Healer Gideon appeared to comprehend the situation and let out a chuckle. However, neither Klaus nor the lady paid him any heed.
"You must be the Renegade Hunter," the lady stated, her demeanor tranquil, though Klaus sensed her displeasure at his overt admiration of her form, especially her chest.
"You may address me as Klaus Hanson."
"Join the Warrior College and train under my tutelage."
Her declaration was delivered without hesitation. Her intention was to recruit Klaus, having learned of his inclination towards the Engineering College.
An individual of Klaus’s caliber would undoubtedly elevate the academy’s prestige, thereby enhancing the reputation of the Warrior College.
However, Klaus had already solidified his decision.
"I regret to inform you that my intention is to enroll in the Engineering College. This decision is final, as I wish to explore avenues beyond my path as a warrior."
"You are making a grave error, Klaus. I recognize your prowess as a warrior, but by joining the Warrior College, you could refine your existing skills even further.
I have observed your combat engagements, and while I find no fault in your technique, there is always room for improvement."
Klaus offered a smile and a nod. "That is indeed accurate. Nevertheless, I will not be joining the Warrior College."
The lady’s eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of dissatisfaction surfacing. "I am Supreme Warrior Sayuri, ranked 202 on the Supreme Ancient Chart. Do you truly believe I have nothing of value to impart? Or do you presume your status as the heir of the Zorvian Race places you above all others?"
Her tone sharpened, a clear indication of her rising anger.
For reasons unknown, Supreme Healer Gideon and Supreme Engineer Winnie subtly retreated, and even Eiko discreetly withdrew.
"Allow me to state this plainly. While it is true that individuals from your lineage are exceptional, historically, many warriors from your clan faltered due to excessive arrogance, perceiving all others as inferior.
You may hold a prominent position now, but I assure you, when it comes to the warriors listed on the Ancient Charts, do not even consider yourself among them. A few victories do not signify ultimate mastery.
Most importantly, dispatching a handful of demigods while still a True Immortal is hardly astonishing, especially when your opponents were demonstrably subpar."
With each passing sentence, her voice grew more pointed, and her aura intensified, compelling everyone to distance themselves further.
Klaus remained stationary, his expression serene, and eventually, a smile graced his features.
Witnessing this reaction, Supreme Warrior Sayuri's verbal assault intensified. However, once she had concluded her tirade, a frown creased her brow.
"Why are you smiling?" she inquired, her eyebrows furrowing in puzzlement.
"Looking at you, I’m reminded of a friend I once had. She possessed a fiery temper, and when angered, her personality would transform entirely, turning her into a veritable vixen."
"Are you implying I am a vixen?"
Klaus felt his physical form become immobile, yet no sense of menace accompanied the sensation.
"There’s no need to harbor anger towards me, Supreme Warrior Sayuri. Honestly, I am quite impressed by your ability to maintain control over your emotions. Kitty, on the other hand, lacked such emotional discipline, which ultimately sealed her demise."
A grin spread across Klaus’s face as he silently snapped his fingers, a faint green luminescence briefly glinting in Supreme Warrior Sayuri’s eyes.
For a fleeting moment, her imposing aura underwent a shift. However, before the onlookers could fully perceive this change, it dissipated as quickly as it had appeared.
"I shall not be joining the Warrior College. Nevertheless, I will make an appearance to spar with your disciples and even fight on your behalf if that is your wish. Furthermore, until you discover someone who possesses five distinct law affinities, including the elemental law, and can master any form of weaponry, understand that my prowess is indeed superior to all others."
Klaus ascended into the air, his colossal leviathan materializing to transport both him and Eiko away. Before his departure, he cast a glance back towards Supreme Engineer Winnie.
"I shall await your arrival at the Engineering College, Headmistress."
Klaus vanished, leaving the three Supremes in his wake.
A few moments later, Supreme Healer Gideon emitted a soft giggle.
"What an intriguing and handsome young man. I do so wish to engage in some playful interaction with him."
His body suddenly tensed as Supreme Warrior Sayuri directed a sharp, accusatory glare his way.
"Calm yourself, Sayuri. There’s no need to project your ire onto me." A delicate fan materialized in his hand, which he then used to coyly conceal his lips.
"If anyone deserves blame, it should be Winnie for skillfully acquiring such a prize before you had the chance."
In Supreme Engineer Winnie’s grasp, a formidable revolver appeared, its form shimmering with contained lightning essence. A deadly projectile, meticulously crafted from pure ice, materialized precisely within its barrel.
"Gideon, even if I cannot contend with Sayuri’s might, be assured that I am more than capable of perforating your body with holes should you dare to betray me. While I am certainly pleased that such a remarkable individual has chosen my college, I have no intention of attempting to claim exclusive rights to him."
A subtle smile gracing her features, Supreme Engineer Winnie turned her attention toward Supreme Warrior Sayuri.
"Sayu, fear not. I will personally ensure that the young prodigy visits your college frequently for training."
Supreme Warrior Sayuri remained stationary for a few heartbeats before a faint smirk began to curve her lips.
"There is no need for such assurances. Whether he graces my college with his presence or not is of no consequence to me."
With an abrupt turn, she took flight, leaving the remaining two Supremes to release prolonged sighs. Supreme Healer Gideon, in particular, appeared to be wiping a bead of sweat from his brow.
"She truly strikes fear into my heart," he murmured, his words underscored by an peculiar, almost blended giggle.
"Such a formidable individual," Supreme Engineer Winnie echoed his sentiment.
However, what remained unseen by all was the subtle smile that materialized on Supreme Warrior Sayuri’s face the very instant she turned away.
