The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1403: Primal Bloodline

For some time now, Klaus has been seeking answers to two specific words.
The first one is 'why'—why he exists here, why he holds the title of Paragon, and why the heavens seem to despise him so fiercely.
Over the years, this word has sparked a multitude of questions that left him without any resolutions.
Often, he ponders the reason his inherent nature sets him apart from all others.
Yet, as he matures and uncovers more details about his history, a few of those inquiries begin to find subtle answers.
But the moment the second word enters the picture, the entire situation transforms completely.
'Where' does he truly originate? What is the source of his arrival? Most crucially, from where do the Paragon stars hail?
Responses to these three vital questions were urgently required. Luckily, Efad had just uttered something that seized his focus.
"What do you mean by when I arrived?"
"Oh, you aren't from this universe, buddy—we come from another place. We're simply carrying out a mission here."
Klaus gazed at his former self in stunned silence for several minutes until a single word escaped his lips.
"Huh?"
Words failed him entirely. He had indeed foreseen Efad's response to some extent. Back then, upon discovering the heavens' animosity toward him, he had half-expected this explanation.
He longed to uncover his origins, and at times, he even anticipated it matching exactly what Efad revealed.
Nevertheless, anticipation and actual truth diverge greatly. In truth, a portion of him hoped his doubts proved unfounded.
"No need to appear so shocked, buddy. The full truth will reveal itself in due time. For the moment, understand that our presence in this universe—the necessity of undergoing nine reincarnations—was solely to gear up for the mission ahead."
"Don't stop there. Provide more details."
Efad chuckled. "Apologies, buddy. That's the extent of my knowledge."
"That's nonsense. I can tell you're holding back more information."
"I'm being honest. I don't possess additional details beyond what I've shared. Remember, your memories were erased prior to entering the cycle of nine reincarnations."
"Then how will I ever understand my purpose here without those memories?"
"That's the role of the Star Lights. Everything essential resides within the Nine Paragon Stars. Unlock them all, and clarity will emerge."
Klaus fixed a prolonged, intense stare on his ninth incarnation until a sly smirk crept across his features.
He loathed how, every time he neared a revelation about his being, some obstacle always intervened.
In previous times, similar issues had arisen for him.
Though it frustrated him deeply, altering the course was impossible. He simply had to endure until the moment he unlocked every Paragon Star.
"Tell me more about this Primal Bloodline."
"Certainly." Since that fell within his scope, he began explaining. "Long ago, you bestowed the Primal Bloodline upon an angel, who has since transmitted it through his descendants.
You instructed him that eventually, a family member would awaken the full manifestation of the bloodline, and on that occasion, their sole duty would be to train that individual into an exceptional fighter.
This Burning Angel is precisely that descendant. He remains unaware that you shaped his very identity, yet he cannot bring himself to slay you because of your influence on him." Efad grinned, then pressed on.
"During your initial encounter, he had not yet stirred the innate ability that would ultimately activate the genuine Bloodline. Thus, he attempted to eliminate you, but afterward, once his authentic bloodline surfaced, he began avoiding you, likely from embarrassment.
Millennia past, just before my final reincarnation, I crossed paths with him. He identified me instantly with a single look, and we formed a connection. I heard tales of his journeys and offered advice on enhancing his power.
I even encountered his kin. But as my ascension day approached, the Heavenly Court assaulted my kin and slaughtered them.
Hael's relatives perished among the victims. I arrived too late to protect either his family or mine. Thus, prior to reincarnating, I provided him a method to recognize me sooner in this cycle, allowing us to strategize our vengeance against the Heavenly Court more effectively."
"I guess that clarifies his apparent disdain for the Heavenly Court." Klaus exhaled, yet something else snagged his thoughts.
"That's fine and all, but how does he factor into this? What exactly does the Primal Bloodline accomplish..."
"Ah, that—it maintains the seal on this universe. While he remains alive, the universe stays locked, and no one, not a single soul except him, can advance to the higher realm."
"Which is..."
"The Primordial Realm. The essence in his veins serves as the key that has restrained the universe for eons. Naturally, the Cosmic Mother played a part, but absent the Primal Bloodline, even she couldn't remove the barrier."
Efad halted once more and observed Klaus's bewildered expression for a moment before a grin spread across his face.
"Think of it this way: The Cosmic Mother, overseer of all Cosmic Laws, requires the blood coursing through Hael's form to dissolve the seal confining this universe.
Yet, to achieve that, you must ascend to Celestial and completely rouse all nine bloodlines along with the Primal Bloodline uniting them. Therefore, you, Hael, and the Cosmic Mother are the vital forces sustaining this universe.
Hael endures as your contingency measure. Should your mission falter, he would prevent the universe from falling under a despot's control."
"So, to grasp what you're explaining, Hael acts as the universe's successor, poised that if I fail my enigmatic task, his bloodline—anchoring this universe at the Celestial level—will activate, crowning him its ruler."
"That captures it well. Seems your intellect has expanded even further." Efad chuckled. "Still, if he assumes dominion over this universe, it will eternally stay a Celestial one. Ascension would be impossible."
Klaus inclined his head. "I believe I'm starting to comprehend the core of it."
His expansive mind couldn't overlook certain concealed aspects. Moments ago, he discovered a realm surpassing the Celestial stage and that his origins lie in a different universe.
Essentially, it's a roundabout admission of hailing from a domain where Celestials don't reign supreme. However, to rescue this universe, you abandoned it all and recommenced from scratch.
Perhaps due to uncertainty in your success, you implemented a safeguard via a bloodline that would ignite and designate him as the universe's sovereign automatically.
That's merely a notion to mull over. At present, Klaus feels untroubled by it.
Realizing the Burning Angel stands with him instills the assurance that his prior incarnations didn't squander efforts. They ensured this final life propels forward before opportunities slip away.
"Why the Seven Dominion Eye, though?" Given that this all began with the assignment to master the technique, it surely holds distinctive importance.
"The universe's defenses are faltering, buddy. The Foreign Race has invaded, so preparation is key. Yet, their incursion not only frays the universe's structure but also creates glimpses into the mysterious beyond."
Efad rose to his feet and extended his limbs. "Attaining the God stage proves straightforward. As a Paragon, your advantages cease there. To progress to Supreme and ultimately reach Celestial, peering into the enigmatic is essential.
The Seven Dominion Eye will prove invaluable at that juncture." With those words, he faced Klaus and touched his finger to his brow.
"Best of luck, buddy. You face numerous challenges with scant time to ready yourself."
