Jian Anning and Yu Zexiao revealed to the Yu Family that they are expecting twins. However, excitement turned to concern when they shared that one of the babies has a slightly delayed development, prompting a visit to Dr. Feng. While the family urged Jian Anning to eat more, she and Yu Zexiao privately worried about the implications of the delayed development, even as Yu Zexiao tried to reassure her.

"Don't say such things. We are both first-time parents, and this child has already been quite a handful. You've been so stressed by him every single day that you can barely eat. It's only been three months; it's easy to make up for it."

"Zexiao..." Jian Anning looked at him intently before burying her head in his shoulder, nuzzling him like a puppy seeking comfort.

In the beginning, it was she who took care of him. Now, however, it had become him taking care of her.

"Dr. Feng mentioned you need to rest. So, from this point forward, don't follow me around everywhere. Just rest at home, alright?" Ever since Jian Anning became pregnant, she had ceased performing her duties as his agent. Nevertheless, she would occasionally still attend some simpler events with him.

But now, Jian Anning no longer dared to run around with him. Even at home, Yu Zexiao wouldn't permit her to do much. At the very least, not until her next check-up confirmed the baby is doing fine.

"Isn't basic work still manageable?"

"No, you should stay home. Spend time with my mom and grandma, take walks, water the plants, or visit Zhao Ziyin. There's no necessity for you to concern yourself with work."

Zhao Ziyin had recently resumed her work and was doing well, thanks to the Mo Family's unwavering support. Although she still didn't get along with Mo Siyu, she was quite fond of the child. Because their families resided nearby, she and Mo Yangyang frequently visited the Yu Family, thus keeping the two families in constant contact.

Yu Zexiao wouldn't allow her to worry or go to work; was he intending to keep her like a prize pig? She felt a touch of unhappiness about this: "It shouldn't be a problem, right? Just going to the company; I wouldn't accompany you on outdoor shoots."

If she didn't go to the company to keep an eye on things, wouldn't those flirtatious girls swarm around him? In the entertainment industry, if there’s a lack of anything, it's certainly not a shortage of beautiful women! Even though she understood Yu Zexiao wouldn't fool around, those young girls might not be aware of that! Every time those women surrounded him, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

"What are you concerned about?" Yu Zexiao immediately detected the slight worry etched upon Jian Anning's furrowed brow.

"Nothing, it's just that I really can't stay cooped up at home all the time. It's merely a trip to the company. If you go for outdoor shoots or gigs, I won't join you; isn't that acceptable?"

"You know that heading to the company sometimes involves arguments. If you were to get angry and your stomach begins to hurt, then what?" She was his agent, not merely a decorative vase. While others might not dare to cross Yu Zexiao, her position in managing his daily affairs might not command the same level of deference.

"...Alright." Jian Anning nodded, still feeling somewhat reluctant, "Then who will look after you?"

"Naturally, there will be someone." As soon as Yu Zexiao uttered these words, Jian Anning shot him a sideways glance, and he chuckled, "You little jealous creature, they'll either be women over fifty or men; does that meet your approval?"

"Who can truly know your preferences? What if your taste shifts? Even men must be unattractive!"

Following this brief exchange, Jian Anning felt significantly more at ease. After a short while, she reached out to embrace Yu Zexiao: "Honey, our child will be safe, won't they?"
