Rex faced off against the Lunirich God Mayar, who hesitated to attack due to Rex's proven resilience and deceptive calm. Rex used this hesitation to perform the First Blood Claim Ritual, drawing power from Mayar himself via a Fake Core of Immortality and a deal made with the Uncrowned Matron of Ire. As Mayar finally attacked, a colossal blood-red phantom materialized behind Rex, stopping the god and revealing its connection to Aylith. Rex then confirmed with Aylith that Mayar had failed to be convinced, giving him the signal to strike Mayar down.
