Rex negotiates with Liebert, securing Zev's release and agreeing to an assignment with the Red Skull Elite Force to deal with invaders. Rex reveals his clever plan to intercept information and leverage his knowledge against High Lord Rashal, while Davina and Lilliana plot to gain further leverage within the elite squad. Meanwhile, Rex begins training his new Pure God Sense skill to better navigate the God Realm.

Achieving that objective turned out to be significantly more arduous than Rex had initially projected.

Typically, he would notice some progress whenever he embarked on learning something new, largely attributed to the System's invaluable assistance. Among the newly acquired abilities was mastery over the three elemental layers.

Admittedly, the aid provided by the transcendent-rank artifact could not be overlooked.

Yet, ultimately, tangible results were observable.

His newfound command over the three elemental layers was not yet battle-ready; further intensive training would be required before he could effectively deploy it amidst the high-pressure circumstances of combat. However, with undivided concentration and in a state of tranquility, he could indeed wield it proficiently.

Scarcely a day had passed, and already, progress was evident.

This was not the situation with the Pure God Sense skill.

Despite dedicating days solely to the rigorous training of this particular skill, he remained incapable of sensing immortal energy.

Given that immortal energy is the predominant force within the God Realm, it should be present in abundance, permeating the very atmosphere. Nevertheless, he could not detect even the slightest trace of it. Rex had already consulted the System regarding methods to accelerate this process; while certain items could facilitate it, time would still be a crucial factor.

Most supplementary items designed to enhance this skill boosted sensory efficiency rather than providing immediate outcomes.

Furthermore, the System indicated that the efficiency increase ranged only from three to five percent—a negligible amount.

For Rex, at least, this constituted a rather slow progression.

"System, I have a feeling that the Pure God Sense skill is intrinsically linked to something else, perhaps derived from another source," Rex murmured, his voice low and contemplative. Initially, when he activated the skill, there was only a subtle, gentle sensation, akin to a soft breeze caressing his skin. However, as it stabilized, the warmth intensified, diffusing throughout his entire being. It felt as though an unseen amplifier was at play. "Or perhaps I'm merely deceiving myself?"

<Notice: Disregarding the requisite period for the user's body to acclimatize to the Pure God Sense skill, the skill's efficacy is exclusively determined by the user's divine strands, quantified as divinity points within the status window. An increased quantity of divinity points directly correlates with enhanced skill potency.>

"So, I was right..." Rex gently massaged his forehead.

His innate senses were already highly refined, assuring him of an internal amplifier.

It transpired that this amplifier was indeed the divine points.

Rex promptly checked his divinity points.

...

<Divine points: 400>

...

"Tch," Rex clicked his tongue, a clear expression of displeasure. "Merely four hundred? Even when juxtaposed with the Gardeners, this is a distressingly small amount. Their average hovers around one thousand, and I haven't even reached half that. It's no wonder I'm struggling with this."

In terms of raw power, he might possess the same strength as Demigods and Awakened Demigods.

However, his divinity points were woefully inadequate.

Were it not for his Absolute Anger Effect, victory against any opponent in this realm would have been an impossibility.

Achieving the status of a Scion was, by all accounts, an extraordinary accomplishment.

Not that this was news to him.

"Furthermore, how precisely are these divinity points calculated?"

<Does the user wish to purch—>

"Yes!"

<Notice: the user’s gold will almost be depleted after purchasing this information.>

"Huh? Just how expensive are we talking?" Rex found himself momentarily speechless. The reward of a staggering one hundred million gold from vanquishing the Godlings who guarded the vault had led him to believe that financial concerns were a thing of the past.

Yet, this was the God Realm, a place where even the most insignificant items commanded exorbitant prices.

"Just purchase it," he relented with a sigh. "I value the answer more than the cost."

<Affirmative>

It became apparent that the information was exceptionally costly because it was intrinsically linked to the classification of Godling ranks. According to the System, Demigods required divine strands to liberate their physical forms from the constraints of mortality, thereby enabling their ascension to become Awakened Demigods.

The designation of Awakened Demigod signifies the commencement of the path toward divinity.

Entities at this level are no longer bound by mortality and possess the resilience to withstand greater reservoirs of power.

From the Awakened Demigod rank onward, divine strands cease to be a requirement for bodily augmentation; instead, they transform into the very essence fueling a being's capabilities. The System elucidated that divinity points are determined by the quantity of divine strands an individual possesses.

A greater number of divinity points signifies more abundant divine strands, which in turn leads to increased power.

The concept was quite straightforward to grasp.

Naturally, certain potent sources of power exist that can bestow an additional enhancement upon one's divine strands.

However, Rex currently lacked any such advantages.

"So, divine strands are pretty much akin to elemental affinities," Rex mused, realizing that a being's proficiency in sensing and wielding immortal energy hinged on their divine strands, much like how elemental affinities dictated one's aptitude for specific elements. "And to acquire divine strands, I can either advance my cultivation realm or seize them from Kaiser. Wait, there's yet another way..."

A sly grin spread across Rex's face.

He had made the correct decision, and now, it seemed, he might have stumbled upon a solution to his predicament.

"To at least learn to sense immortal energy within a few days, how many divinity points would that require?" Rex inquired in a low voice, resolving to prioritize accumulating divinity points above all else. "Give me a target."

<Sudden Quest has been initiated!>

...

<Sudden Quest: Divinity Points>

Description: Mastering the Pure God Sense skill and accurately sensing immortal energy are paramount for the user to fulfill the High Lord's assignment. Achieving this necessitates the accumulation of divinity points.

Divinity Points: 400 / 10,000

Time Limit: -

Rewards: Calculated based on the user’s performance.

...

Perusing the sudden assistance only widened Rex's smile.

The mere mention that rewards would be performance-based made it evident the System had grasped his train of thought. "Ten thousand, you say..." Rex stroked his chin, quite content that the required amount was less than anticipated. "I recall Vadyn needing fifty thousand. But then again, I'm only aiming to sense immortal energy, nothing more."

"What has you smiling like that?" Lilliana emerged from the guest bedroom.

Noticing his grin, she became intrigued.

Rex spared a glance at her, unable to resist appreciating her alluring figure.

She was impeccably attired in black. A form-fitting, high-neck crop top hugged her body perfectly, complemented by high-waisted trousers cinched with a sleek, polished steel belt. The Silverstar Mark was subtly displayed peeking from her trousers. A sharp black blazer was draped over her shoulders, worn more like a regal mantle than its intended purpose.

Her ensemble was completed with a gold necklace, bestowing upon her a refined and elegant aura.

"Are you dressing for battle, or are you trying to impress me?" Rex inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Why choose just one? Can't I dress for combat and for impressing you simultaneously?" Lilliana giggled and moved closer. She gracefully swept her tail aside and settled onto Rex's lap, leaning back against his chest. Then, she casually draped an arm over his opposite shoulder as if she inherently belonged there. "Do you like it? I acquired a few outfits from some fine establishments at the mall. The best part is, they come with built-in protection."

Rex's eyes darted as he took in her attire.

Indeed, from head to toe, it was a collection of divine-grade equipment.

"I like it," Rex affirmed, encircling her waist with his arm and nodding. "You have excellent taste."

"Naturally. But you still haven't answered my question."

"It's nothing, really. Just contemplating a solid plan. Never mind that, how are you feeling?"

Lilliana flicked her hair back and looked down at herself with evident satisfaction. "I feel wonderful. I think my tail has grown longer, and my body is starting to feel completely my own again. I should be fully integrated as one of your pack members soon—at least, that's my impression. Why don't you tell me if my transformation is complete?"

"Yes, you're nearing completion," Rex confirmed, scanning her once more with the System. The results corroborated her statement entirely. "You've also obtained an ability, Predator Mind, from enduring your first berserk state. It enhances your resistance to succumbing to madness. Furthermore, staying close to me when your anger surges will make you even stronger."

"Is that so?" Lilliana pressed her forehead against his, her smile widening as their faces drew within an inch of each other. "More resistant than Davina?"

"Davina hasn't experienced berserk yet," Rex replied. "So, yes. More than her."

"And this new ability also encourages me to stay near you?"

"Something like that."

"Another valid reason for me to remain by your side, then."

"Your sister won't be pleased about that. Not one bit."

"Do you truly believe I concern myself with her feelings?" Lilliana pressed her index finger against Rex's chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart within. This sensation brought a smile to her lips. He must be experiencing a mixture of apprehension and excitement. "I care about what you... think."

Just as their lips were about to meet, Rex gently pushed her back with his hand, causing her to stand.'

Concurrently, Davina made her appearance.

Rex blinked in surprise, noting Davina was dressed similarly to Lilliana, yet with a distinctly different overall effect.

Her fitted high-neck top was neatly tucked into high-waisted trousers, covering her completely. Earrings shimmered, catching the light, finishing an ensemble that spoke of elegance, immaculate style, and utter composure—precisely the persona she always maintained. "I had assumed you’d be donning your armored suit," Davina remarked, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"I was on the verge of it, but I reconsidered," Lilliana replied with a casual shrug.

It was as if a twin-like synchronicity connected their thoughts.

"And why is that? Does it bother you?" Lilliana scrutinized Davina from head to toe. "Does it make you feel threatened?"

Before the customary sibling squabble could erupt, Rex cleared his throat and produced two black masks from his inventory. Each mask was featureless, save for intricate, golden curving lines adorning its surface. He placed them on the table. "You should wear these. My trust in the Red Skull Elite Force is nonexistent. It would be prudent for both of you to conceal your identities and remain inconspicuous."

"Hmm?" Davina entered the living room, her brow arching. "There’s no need for me to hide my face. I am perfectly capable of defending myself—"

"Certainly, yes!" Lilliana interjected, cutting Davina off mid-sentence. She skipped over happily and took one of the masks. "I will do as you’ve instructed. It presents no inconvenience whatsoever."

Rex offered a nod and rose to his feet.

He had intended to put the remaining mask back since Lilliana had readily accepted hers, but she quickly snatched it from his hand before he could. Noticing the flicker of annoyance on Davina’s face, he wisely chose not to comment.

He opted for silent observation instead.

Before long, the individual designated to transport them arrived.

Rex made certain to apprise Evelyn and Gistella of his intentions and the necessity of closing the portal within the Silverstar Genesis. The duration of his absence was uncertain, and Liebert had already witnessed the portal’s existence.

Leaving it open would expose the two women to potential peril, thus necessitating its closure.

Given the unknown timeframe for its subsequent reactivation, informing them was paramount.

To his surprise, Evelyn and Gistella expressed no objections.

Both appeared deeply engrossed in the cultivation process using the Realm Fertilizer, a sight that provided considerable reassurance.

Rex’s attention shifted to Davina and Lilliana. Despite their formidable strength, reaching the Demigod stage would be essential for them to truly contend with the powers within the God Realm, a fact that spurred Rex to devise a method of assistance. As he, Davina, and Lilliana entered the waiting black sedan, Liebert was already seated in the front passenger seat.

"Precisely where are we headed?"

"To the Red Skull Elite Force's home realm."

With that pronouncement, the car accelerated and vanished into another dimension.
