The werewolf assault initially went as planned, but the defenders adapted, using their golems and Ironblade Vanguard to repel the waves. However, the werewolf commander's ruthless tactics and use of 'Berserk' allowed them to breach the city gates. Arthur returned and summoned his Ironblade Knight Commander, while Legion engaged the werewolf commander and his elite lieutenants.

For nearly fifteen minutes, Legion and his squad had been locked in a fierce clash against the commander’s pack.

With a group of Three captain-rank golems focusing their efforts on holding down one of the three lieutenant-rank werewolves each, leaving number one to assist Legion in facing the commander werewolf.

Initially, the commander had fought with them in his human form. However, after enduring a sequence of coordinated combination attacks, he was forced to unleash his transformation, morphing into a massive, towering werewolf.

Following his transformation, the battle underwent a drastic shift. Although the commander werewolf was merely a low Tier 8 werewolf on his own, the augmentation provided by his connection to the other three propelled his realm straight into the Mid Tier 8 level.

Even worse, the ancient werewolf formation connecting them allowed him to seamlessly channel all the class skills of his three subordinates.

Whenever Legion’s spear was on the verge of piercing through, a massive Qi shield would materialize to block the strike sometimes. Furthermore, the commander’s regeneration speed had skyrocketed to that of a guardian-class entity, complemented by top-tier offensive capabilities of a warrior-class entity.

His evasive speed was terrifyingly swift like that of a hunter-class entity, as he dynamically exhibited the diverse combat styles of the three linked werewolves.

To Legion’s growing frustration, the longer the battle dragged on, the more it felt like victory was slipping away.

It was in this moment of struggle that Legion recalled Alec’s warning: while fighting standard beasts was straightforward, facing humanoid beasts who had adapted to human tactics was infinitely more dangerous.

Although the werewolf commander lacked the raw strength of the high-tier demonic beasts Legion had previously slain in the beast forest, however his relentless regeneration made him an exhausting foe.

As long as they failed to shatter this formation, the commander would keep healing his wounds, repeatedly lunging back to attack Legion and Number One.

Trading injury for injury, as he was clearly confident that the golems would eventually fail to survive this grueling battle of endurance,

The teleportation axis of Arthur’s City flared with light as Alec stepped out of it. Although Arthur noticed the activation of the Teleportation axis, however; he was far too occupied tearing through the massive, fur-covered beasts to care about who had just arrived.

Hearing the distant clashing of steel and the roar of battle, Alec closed his eyes and expanded his mental energy, establishing a direct link with the city’s heart.

The moment his mind connected with the city’s core, the entire settlement unfolded before his consciousness, granting him a perfect bird’s-eye view of the ongoing conflict.

In the midst of combat, the werewolf commander instantly sensed that he was being watched, he swiftly whipped his head around to look, but there was no one behind him.

That momentary distraction proved costly, as Legion had seized the opening to strike with the bottom of his laser spear, tearing through half of the commander’s face and forcing him to stagger backward.

Yet, by the time the beast reared his head back up, his rapid regeneration had already taken effect, knitting torn flesh and shattered bone back together at an astonishing speed.

Having witnessed this, Alec severed his connection with the city heart, now that he had identified the attacking race, a clear plan of action formed in his mind.

He wore only a loose kimono draped over his frame, ever since fusing with his upgraded Spirit equipment set, he had not gotten a chance to dress and just traveled over in his conventional clothing, as he also found it uncomfortable to summon the infernal set over tight garments.

He pulled his hands from the kimono as he stretches it down till it was moved towards his waist region, exposing his Beast soul tattoos that surrounded his body,

On his left hand was the image of the Eclipse Fenwolf that was resting there, however it finally started moving as Alec started to merge with its bloodline, as the tattoo seems to be expanding and covering the rest of his body,

After covering a larger part of his body Alec closed his eyes as his bones started to pop, break and get jack to shape as he started to transform, soon his body was covered in the sleekest of black fur along with a very shiny white fur designing another part,

Within a mere three seconds, his transformation was complete. Standing at a towering six and a half feet tall, Alec looked up at the half-moon in the sky and released a brutal, primal howl.

"Ahhhwhoooooollllll!"

The resounding howl froze every werewolf on the battlefield in their tracks, and an intense wave of irritation washed over them the moment the sound echoed across the field.

It was the call of an external alpha—a wolf from outside their pack. Two alphas could never peacefully coexist in the same territory; they were destined to clash.

The only way peace could be established was through submission, which would force one to yield, lowering its rank while making the dominant alpha significantly stronger.

No one was more shocked by the cry than the Tier 8 werewolf, he knew that no lineage had split from Lupus in a very long time, leaving him completely baffled as to why another alpha would suddenly appear, in the human domain for that matter.

Having finished his primal howl, Alec lashed out with his right claws, which were glowing with pure shadow energy, they unleashed four sharp arcs of dark Qi that tore through the fabric of space, opening a temporary portal resembling a jagged claw mark.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he stepped through the shadow rift.

On the other side, Legion and Number One were still locked in combat with the werewolf commander, with Number One providing support from a distance.

Suddenly, a pitch-black rift materialized directly behind the commander werewolf.

In that exact instant, the beast was struck by a chilling sensation of being watched once more, his instincts screaming in alarm.

Before he could even attempt to evade, a bright white flash with a hint of black streaked past him.

The entire battlefield around the top powerhouse fell dead silent as everyone halted their clashes, staring at the new arrival. Standing before them was a massive werewolf of equal stature to the expedition leader, casually holding a severed, fur-covered arm.

He glanced down at it nonchalantly before tossing it aside and turning his gaze toward the werewolf commander.

“I don’t have much time, so come at me, all of you,” Alec declared, as the golem finally recognized him and smiled, the werewolf leader’s face trembled violently.

His arm had been cleanly severed without him even realizing it; the sharp, agonizing pain had only registered to him after Alec spoke.

Staring directly into that burning crimson gaze, any irritation he felt instantly vanished, replaced by the grim realization that the werewolf before him was not bluffing. He was making his stance absolutely clear.

Although Alec only exuded a High Tier 7 aura, his sheer speed and overwhelming power he had just displayed made the commander view him as an incredibly dangerous opponent, to make matters worse, his abilities were bizarre, and his multi-colored fur made it impossible to determine what type of werewolf he truly was.

The Werewolf Commander could only conclude that he was dealing with a special-class werewolf—a rare hybrid possessing diverse powers, just like Lupus, the Werewolf king.

“Attack together!” he commanded, completely abandoning any thought of fighting alone, as facing this werewolf before him single-handedly felt like absolute suicide.
