Hunter opened a teleportation gate into the throne room, surprising Dave by the arrival of enemy forces. Meanwhile, in the Beast Forest, Alec negotiated with General the Treant, securing safe passage but facing an onslaught of other plant monsters as the Treant army retreated. Alec, Arthur, and Brandon prepared for a desperate battle against the overwhelming horde.

Just then, both Arthur and Brandon felt a cold wave pass by them as four sword Qi blades, facing north, south, west, and east, flew out like small rotating blades, as a tiny, wavy sound rang out as they shot forward.

This caused Arthur and Brandon to stop and look around for a moment, trying to understand what they had just felt pass by them. However, the next second, bodies started dropping with their upper body dropping firsting showing a very straight and through slice.

Those that weren’t killed by the blades were either critically injured with a long line of blood showing the blade wound they have received or had lost a body part.

Arthur and Brandon looked backward in shock.

Yes, the Wood Woads and many of the plant-type monsters here seemed more like weak variants to be called Tier 7 lifeforms, as they didn’t have the same type of armor many other Tier 7 powerhouses of other races possessed, or thick hides like demonic beasts.

But they were still genuine Tier 7 beasts that had been able to give Arthur and Brandon a hard time, they had literally not even killed up to ten opponents, and Alec’s one sword attack had just claimed the lives of many.

They both turned toward him and realized that, yeah, he was fucked, though they might not have seen the sword clearly since it had dashed out so fast, however Alec had augmented his sword Qi with potent flaming energy.

It was compressed in all sword blades he sent out, and that was why slicing some of the plant beasts in two had been easier, as the flames parted them before they could heal or even cast a defensive skill.

But now, he was left with little mana again due to the nature of where they were, though his golem’s minions were still fighting at the front while holding the line, it was clear they too would soon run out of mana, which would result in them resorting to using only their physical strength.

And then they would get overwhelmed and eliminated one by one, followed by the main golems dying, after that, he and his two partners in crime would follow.

As of right now, his golems had kept a tight line, only allowing a few to pass through the barricade they had created using their bodies to surround Alec and his two brothers.

That was the only reason Arthur and Brandon hadn’t been swarmed by Tier 7 plant lifeforms and were still able to put up a fight. But Alec was clear on the fact that when that happened, they would undoubtedly be killed too.

Though he knew all this, it only made him more excited as he dashed forward, returning his Changdao back to its scabbard, leaving the protection of his golems and punching out, his fist became covered in purple energy, which overlapped to form gravity gloves as flashes of his fist flew through the air, though he might be running out of mana however unlike his two other clansmen with him he does indeed has a Tier 7 Physique.

Though the Wilderness King had come and explained some things to Alec, he definitely hadn’t told Alec everything that needed to be said, and clearly, at this moment, one of his past mistakes was about to come back and bite Alec in the ass.

The domain that had been given to Alec to rule as lord just so happened to be the one closest to the Demon Forest, a forest that has many enemies that the wilderness king has once defeated and chased out of the lands.

Though Iroh had explained to Alec how, back in the day, certain brave hunters hunted wild beasts at the outskirts of the forest just so their families in the city could eat meat since their harvest were yielding small returns, the thing was that, one by one, they all met with accidents in the forest and died.

This led to the stopping of any hunting in the forest.

However, the main truth was that the deeper parts of the forest just happened to be the home of various Quasi-King-rank beasts, these are Beast lords that were at the peak of Lord rank but weren’t yet kings.

And they had been eyeing the Wilderness Region’s resources and cities, as occupying those lands and having access to these resources would not only help their race prosper but help them upgrade in rank.

To them, a higher rank meant a much better bloodline.

Which also meant a certain chance to evolve into a more advanced version of their race when they broke through realms.

It was one of the reasons why the Werewolf King was working with the orcs to take down the Wilderness Region. And unlike the Orc King’s lords, the Werewolf King’s Enforcers could make a move on the human lords because they were not bound by a distance restriction.

The only reason they hadn’t made their move was because the king of the werewolves was scared of the human Wilderness King starting a war with him directly, which is something he wasn’t ready for, but now, his sentry werewolves had just been able to confirm that there was indeed some infighting between the lords of the Wilderness Region.

Though it was not on a massive scale, it was still enough for him to want to mix himself into the chaos, especially considering that he was a creature of carnage.

“Send a messenger bird to the Orc King and tell him that he might need to call off his ceasefire sooner than he thought. There is infighting on the Wilderness King’s land, and we are going to try and take the cities closest to us, they can target other cities” Lupus, the Quasi-King-rank beast who called himself the Werewolf King, said from his throne of various beast bones.

Unlike what many would have thought, he wasn’t always in his beast form which was wolfish, with all the hair covering his entire body. Instead, he was in a humanoid form, wearing clothes made out of fur and beast skin, with his upper body left exposed, showing just how ripped he was.

“Okay, my lord,” one of the two subjects kneeling before him said, he rose and swiftly moved to execute the order.

After that, Lupus turned toward the other man who remained.

“You will lead five thousand men to attack the city closest to the one the orcs once captured,” Lupus said.

“If we lead an army now, wouldn’t this alert the Wilderness King and cause him to send one of his three Storm Lords to attack us with their army? And moving with just five thousand men against one of the Storm Lords is basically suicide,” the kneeling werewolf said, his face scrunching up.

He was a Tier 8 werewolf, which meant that he too had reached the qualifications to fight for the King rank.

However, for werewolves, there could only be one alpha. So if he wanted to be king, he would have to fight Lupus and defeat him under a full moon to claim the alpha title as the new werewolf king, or he would have to run off and create another pack.

However, the funny thing was that the Moon Goddess, whom they worshipped as their god, had always said that only one alpha could remain.

So, in due time, Lupus would have had him hunted, and considering the fact that Lupus was a low Tier 9 beast, it brought fear to many of them that might want to challenge him.

There had been a couple of brave werewolves who had tried their luck at challenging Lupus and putting an end to his rule, but they had ended up dead, as he doesn’t let his challengers go free.

There were also a few who decided to split apart and create their own packs after reaching the Tier 8 realm, but even if they weren’t hunted down by Lupus due to his act for always wanting the challenge of war, the counts of the Vampire King would hunt the deserters down instead.

(The counts were like the lords of human kings to the vampire kings while the enforcers were the lord rank of the werewolf king).
