The Golem Mage Chapter 1171: Battles On All Fronts.
Previously on The Golem Mage...
Inside the throne room, Dave tried to speak again. However, this time, Hunter raised his right hand and moved one finger toward the middle of his lips.
“Chill. You’re not the one I’m talking to,” Hunter said before returning to staring into space, almost as if he was speaking to an invisible presence.
At that moment, Dave was starting to get pissed, especially after the way Hunter spoke to him. It felt like he had just been dismissed.
However, in actual fact, Hunter was not trying to shade him or anything like that, he had not been lying either when he said he was not talking to them, because he was currently conversing with the main city’s Ai, which was connected to the City Heart behind him.
“Allow teleportation now.”
Those were Hunter’s next words. However, the moment the men in the room heard this, they couldn’t help but grow worried, because they had never received any information about Alec having a teleportation station.
Even then, Dave started wondering if the golem before him was only trying to mess with his head. After all, it had not been long since the city was conquered, and he believed that the human lord who once occupied this city did not have a teleportation axis.
Which meant Alec should not have been able to send people here to create such a detailed machine in such a short time, and even if he believed that the previous lord had a teleportation axis and had only hidden it, he still did not feel it should have been possible for Alec to have already drawn a coordinate link between his main city and this place in the little duration he had the city under his control.
However, while his mind was busy playing games with him, making him wonder whether Alec had truly done it or not, he suddenly heard a faint sizzling noise coming from outside the throne hall.
He tried to spread out his mental power, and his expression changed immediately.
Because he could sense a lot of foreign auras appearing just outside the castle, very close to the throne room. And he could tell that those were not the auras of his warriors, nor were they the warriors of the lords beside him, which proves that there was a teleportation device, at that moment, he started to feel afraid, as he realized this might have been led directly to one big trap now that he had chance to think and wasn’t clouded by easy success again.
“Now that I have finally leveled the fighting ground and found fighters for your warriors, I think it’s time we get into a battle of our own,” Hunter said as he used his left hand to draw his weapon out of the ground into the air and caught it with his right hand.
Though he was not getting into a battle stance, neither was he trying to take a defensive position or move his body to create feints.
He simply stood there, with Qi rolling off his body like waves of smoke, almost like a person who had just stepped out of a hot shower. It was pure aura, released for the sole purpose of intimidating Dave, and those with him
But Dave only snorted as he commanded his soldiers to move forward and attack Hunter, as he was not ready to attack first when he still did not know the ability of his opponent.

“As much as I would love to approve of your demand, I’m sorry to tell you that I’m unable to summon him here,” Alec said as he stared straight at the Treant called General.
General seemed to fall into deep thought, even folding his arms while using one hand to hold his chin as he stared at Alec, almost as if he was trying to figure out whether Alec was lying or not.
However, Alec did not budge.
“Well, would you allow me to fight him later?” General finally asked, choosing the next best question he could think of.
“Definitely,” Alec immediately replied.
The major reason he was acting so formal with the Treant before him was because he only had Five golems with him, and while he did not mind having a death match, he did not want to fight one without any proper reason.
It was clear that the Treant before him had no malicious thoughts toward him or his brothers.
If he got on General’s bad side now and turned him into an enemy, along with the already hostile plant legion surrounding them, then even if he summoned Oni, Butcher, Hive Queen, Vermis, and Magnito, Alec believed he still would only be hastening their death, though he knew they were going to die but he wanted to delay it the longest he could that way the other two that were with him would have experienced a lot of dangerous situations.
“Well, I would have you know that your words are binding here and are considered a promise to me, General, an Ancient Treant. The next time we meet, I hope to see the one they call your top golem and fight with him,” General said.
“Due to the promise between us, I will make sure none of the Treants under my legion attack you. However, the same cannot be said for the other plant legions. Since you are a foreign element, it is within their rights to try and eliminate you,” General explained.
This gave Alec a clearer picture of one of the reasons he was always being chased. After all, there was no way he would believe that simple bad luck and this reason he has just heard were the only reason he was always attacked whenever he appeared in the Beast World.
Still, he was grateful to General, as the Ancient Treant had made a lot of things easier for him.
“Fair,” Alec said.
General then removed his sword from the ground, moving it towards his back where the root-like vines there moved around to cover it before turning into a scabbard, however General never stopped walking away slowly, full of confidence.
Along with him, the massive army of treants that had been blocking the plant army from reaching Alec also started retreating, until they were finally gone and only Alec’s group was left again.
“Shrrrtiekkkk!”
A loud shriek pierced through the surroundings as the plants that had stalled and stopped suddenly started dashing toward them again, however, this time, there was no running away.
“I guess this is how we go down, from exhaustion,” Arthur said as he summoned his golem, the moment his Silver knight-like golem appeared, it broke into several parts, and those same parts assembled themselves around Arthur’s body.
In the next instant, he turned into a silver flash and launched himself toward a group of Wood Woads heading for them, cleaving several of them in two.
Normally, using metal weapons against wood-type lifeforms was never the right answer. This was because not only would it take great effort for the sword to deliver a proper blow, but with each swing, the wielder’s strength would continue to reduce due to the draining resistance.
But Arthur’s elbow blades that curved backwards faced no such difficulty, they were coated with his metal-element aura, which made their sharpness climb to another level entirely.
In fact, it was like the Wood woads were rushing to their deaths.
(Wood Woads are a type of wood-based lifeform that resembled grumpy wooden men with humanoid builds similar to treants. However, unlike their larger cousins, they were more like the dwarves among wood lifeforms. They could also shape their hands into any weapon of their choice, showcasing their incredible affinity with wood.)
Brandon was the second to move. Brown tattoo-like markings appeared from underneath his skin as he summoned his spirit equipment set and joined Arthur in trying to kill as many plant-type monsters as possible while they came in droves.
Behind them, Alec also summoned his remaining five main golems, who in turn moved to summon their own minions instantly.
None of them were holding back. Clearly, the situation before them was extremely critical. Right now, Alec was only focused on getting his group to kill as many enemies as they could.
Battles like this, which teetered on the edge of life and death, were the kind that forced out a person’s true potential. However, the only thing Alec was worried about was the fact that the one he believed to be the mastermind behind all this had still not shown its face.
Still, Alec no longer cared.
He had already decided that no matter what happened, he would try his best and give his all. In fact, he was interested in seeing just where his current limit was in the Beast Forest without any augmentation from his soul beasts, relying only on his raw power.
With that thought in mind, he spread his legs wide and entered a stance, moving his right hand toward the left side of his waist, his hand hovering just above his Changdao blade, as he gripped the hilt of the blade there, he focused on his breathing.
It was as if the loud noise from the battle happening around him had been muted, and the only sound he could hear was his own breath, then, in one smooth motion, he opened his closed eyes and slashed out.
