The Golem Mage Chapter 1106: Final Battle : Origin
Previously on The Golem Mage...
Finally, all of Takeda’s avatars met their end. The assembled crowd observed as Takeda nonchalantly extended his hand, awaiting the final power core, which pulsed with wind Qi, to materialize within his palm before he consumed it entirely.
As this occurred, the loyal supporters of the War God Mage Academy couldn't help but question why Alec hadn't seized the opportune moment to eliminate Takeda.
However, even as they deemed it the perfect time to strike, Alec perceived a subtle yet definite shift in the surrounding energy. He chose to wait patiently, his gaze fixed on Takeda as he absorbed the last power core.
Moments later, Takeda threw his head back, his Qi surging with violent intensity. Even from their distance, Alec could discern that Takeda was now emanating the profound aura of a Tier 8 lifeform.
Though this newfound power was unstable, it was significant enough for Alec to grasp a critical realization: this iteration of Takeda possessed the strength to contend with a standard Tier 8 mage.
This revelation also elucidated why the battle had protracted beyond initial expectations and why his golems had struggled to achieve complete dominance. It was because, mirroring Alec’s own golems, Takeda’s avatars had demonstrated the capacity to fight beyond their inherent magical realms, albeit not to the same extreme extent as Alec's constructs.
“I expected you to make your move by now. What has held you back?” Takeda inquired, his voice cutting through the tension. As he spoke, he pushed both hands forward, his fingers intricately weaving through a series of precise hand signs.
Upon completing the sequence, his physical appearance underwent a dramatic transformation. Layers of fabric coalesced around him, sculpting a more imposing ninja attire. The only element absent from the striking ensemble was the mask, which would have completed his formidable equipment set.
A katana was secured at an angle on his back, while an axe was fastened to his right side. A wakizashi hung at his left hip, complemented by a kusarigama coiled similarly on his left side. Simultaneously, a clawed gauntlet materialized, encasing his left hand.
For the very first time, his complete spirit equipment set was unveiled. With this display, his previously unstable aura became entirely stabilized. It was as if the very set of equipment had harmonized the chaotic energies coursing within him, bringing them under perfect subjugation.
“Naturally, I am not so foolish as to walk into a trap. You clearly have an invisible trap array still active around you; anyone attempting to approach would be subjected to the full might of that formation.”
“A pity for you, then, as I possess exceptionally discerning eyes,” Alec declared, tapping his own eyes, which pulsed with a faint azure luminescence.
“Very well… I suppose the games are concluded,” Takeda responded, finally initiating his assault.
Boom!
The sheer velocity of his charge generated a muffled explosion in the air, leaving behind a semi-transparent ring of pressure where he had just stood. In the blink of an eye, he was positioned directly before Alec, his right fist hurtling towards Alec’s face.
Even before the punch made contact, Alec’s eyes meticulously tracked its trajectory, accurately predicting its path. However, his physical body seemed incapable of matching the sudden, overwhelming speed.
Boom!
A second, more resounding explosion echoed.
To the majority of spectators, whose perception abilities were not heightened, it appeared as though Takeda had instantaneously vanished from his previous location, reappearing moments later where Alec had been standing. Meanwhile, Alec himself had completely disappeared from everyone’s field of vision.
A fraction of a second later, the ground beneath him fractured and collapsed inward, as massive pillars of earth erupted outwards, propelled by the sheer force of Alec’s body impacting the ground with tremendous force.
Ting!
Not far away, Legion swiftly adjusted his strategy, transitioning his weapon into a firearm and unleashing a relentless volley of bullets toward Takeda. Takeda countered this barrage with a casual sweep of his hand.
This action summoned forth a blizzard, which formed an impenetrable barrier that effortlessly deflected the incoming projectiles. Unlike his individual avatars, Takeda could now seamlessly merge multiple elements, thus creating entirely novel and potent elemental assaults.
Yet, before even a second elapsed, he detected an anomaly. The storm he had just conjured was being systematically dismantled. A searing streak of white and red light sliced through the blizzard, rending it open and causing it to dissipate completely.
However, Takeda could not afford to focus solely on this disruption. At that exact moment, he sensed multiple presences rapidly closing in, utilizing his metal senses—all of Alec’s golems were now advancing for a lethal strike.
Butcher materialized from the left, his Lightning Axe held aloft. Simultaneously, the unsettling half-spider, half-woman golem was positioned on the ground, her fingers twitching unnervingly in mid-air as she regarded him with a peculiar, disquieting smile.
Surrounding them, several smaller arachnid constructs had already occupied strategic positions across the terrain. Although Takeda felt confident in his ability to crush them individually, his instincts screamed a dire warning: should he dare to descend into their midst, he himself might be the one to face profound regret.
With a seamless movement, his right hand retrieved the katana from his back, unleashing a blade of Qi towards Butcher in a fluid arc. Simultaneously, he spun, slicing towards the area where his blizzard attack had just been bisected.
Butcher managed to parry the incoming Qi blade, though the sheer force propelled him back several meters before he could fully stabilize. Meanwhile, Legion adeptly evaded the fiery arc slash by slightly extending the glide wings on his back.
The instant he reoriented himself in mid-air, Legion's immediate impulse was to hurl his laser spear forward like a javelin.
As it hurtled towards him, Takeda reacted swiftly, raising his leg to strike the spear precisely at its midpoint, just beyond the tip. This precise impact caused the spear to spin in mid-air, reversing its trajectory and heading back towards Legion.
However, before Takeda could finalize the maneuver and fully redirect the weapon—Butcher struck. His thunder axe descended upon Takeda's back, unleashing all its stored lightning in a single, devastating burst.
The electrical surge coursed through Takeda's entire frame, instantaneously paralyzing his muscles. For a full second, his body convulsed uncontrollably.
Regaining partial command of his limbs moments later, Takeda reacted instinctively. His right hand, now imbued with the Stone Fist spell, swept backward, connecting with Butcher's face and sending him hurtling away.
