Beatrice scolded Patches for using a poison beam against the Earth Takeda, while the Wind Takeda stabilized the injured Water Takeda and admitted the fight had pushed him further than expected. Creating distance, he cast Wind Gate and merged his remaining bodies into a single, enhanced form radiating Low Tier 7 mage power, complete with combined wind and water abilities and a hybrid weapon. The merged Takeda unleashed a relentless assault on Patches with rapid slashes and elemental spells, but after Beatrice fainted from mana depletion, Patches' strength waned, leading to his defeat.

“I would love to fight with you another time in the future, my master is the reason I’m restrained to such limits,” Patches declared while stooping to retrieve Beatrice’s body.

“Well, next time I might have to unleash everything right from the start, since I now realize just how dangerous your master is, and with my greater understanding of your capabilities, I doubt you all could triumph, as I’d never allow you even a slight edge,” the fused Takeda responded, subtly hinting that he had restrained himself in the fight.

“Well, hopefully we cross swords again.” With that final remark, Patches carefully passed Beatrice to Brandon, who stood ready at the battle ring’s boundary to take his fellow competitor.

Following that, Patches’ figure shimmered and retreated back into the coffin, where the lid groaned closed by itself after he slipped inside.

Meanwhile, the combined Takeda strode steadily through the lingering open Wind Gate as the audience burst into thunderous applause, even though the School of Silent Night claimed victory, numerous observing mages from other teams believed they had uncovered key insights into Takeda’s powers.

Although his full potential remained hidden, it was evident now that he could fuse two bodies to attain Low Tier 7 mage power.

Currently, observers thought only one rival mage might truly challenge him — Ren, leader of Shinsei Academy, primarily due to his ability to call forth a spirit boasting Tier 7 strength.

Yet, merely matching Takeda differed greatly from overcoming him.

Beyond the merged duo, additional primary bodies lingered unused, without having appeared at all, and the faint chance of further fusions or integrations with the existing shape stirred discomfort among many, for mages typically dreaded the mysterious most.

“TAKEDA!!!”

As rival squads fretted over confronting the apparently invincible School of Silent Night, the spectators harbored no such worries, instead shouting his name with fervor.

Supporters of the School of Silent Night started chanting boisterously, seizing the opportunity to release their bottled-up feelings, which struck them more as alleviation than mere triumph, since Patches had truly terrified them.

For an instant, they had pondered the outcome if events veered off course, yet with the School of Silent Night clinching the success, little else concerned them now.

Fans swiftly boasted, asserting Takeda could have concluded the bout immediately had he united his primary forms sooner.

Others claimed the fight extended solely because he sought enjoyment, fabricating various justifications for him, but when they attempted to taunt the devoted War God enthusiasts, the latter offered scant retorts.

Deep down, the once-invincible squad had suffered defeat at last, and a single query echoed for numerous — precisely where had Alec Gordons been?

The day’s final two contests generated equal clamor and eagerness as the initial one, yet in contrast to that debut confrontation, nobody dared forecast a clear victor.

During the second bout, Bloodline Academy opposed the Blade Clan squad, even with the Blades arriving thoroughly equipped and resolute to seize the win, events unfolded awry almost immediately.

Carmilla and Damien surged ahead, their gazes shimmering with a red glow as Damien manipulated his blood to form a blood scythe for Carmilla.

Trailing them closely, Dragov pressed on while hauling his enormous greatsword across the terrain, as Connor and Kira flanked the sides in support.

Witnessing this bold and frontal assault formation geared for a direct confrontation, Kaelus bolted forward to block Dragov.

In his thoughts, he planned to surge beyond the lead pair, convinced they weren’t his actual foes, and that engaging the opposing captain represented his core objective.

However, a critical flaw existed: he failed to sync with his teammates. Such a solo charge without backup risked encirclement.

Observing his rash plunge into peril, particularly after the elder’s insistent cautions that teamwork alone ensured success, left Aeron powerless. Kaelus had pretended attentiveness when the elder reprimanded them previously, but as combat ignited, he pursued the contrary path.

The reality proved straightforward — Kaelus intentionally compelled Aeron’s action, aware Aeron would not abandon him.

As he neared, Carmilla slashed her Blood Scythe, targeting to split him cleanly in two. Kaelus dodged swiftly, dropping to his knees in a slide while the red edge whistled mere inches above him.

Yet Carmilla refused to squander the opening against a leader of such rank, so she planted her heel into the earth, clutched the scythe firmly with both hands, flipped its arc, and whipped it back at him.

Simultaneously, her sibling Damien, situated a bit rearward and oriented toward the gliding Kaelus, pointed his right forefinger and unleashed a basic spell in a flash.

From that proximity, escaping the ten blood needles that materialized and hurled toward him appeared impossible, but right before the scythe or needles struck, a figure abruptly intervened.

Darius Blade had flung Aeron ahead by seizing his arm, rotating, and flinging him like a launched weapon instead of an ally.

Aeron arrived at the fray with his twin short swords unsheathed; upon landing, he spun and shoved Kaelus onward with a kick to the spine, propelling him at Dragov — much like declaring, “if you’re so keen to confront the foe captain, then make it happen.”

Through this, Aeron halted Carmilla’s scythe, though he couldn’t thwart every blood needle; while he parried the majority, several pierced his guard.
