Levi learns his Lantern might be a key to freeing an enslaved Genie, but doing so risks severe system detection. He has two weeks to decide whether to pursue this dangerous path or proceed with his original wish. While researching communication methods, Levi receives a message confirming a meeting with Bishop Va'ren in two days.

On the other side...

"What a disrespectful brat... fame has already gone to his head," Wei-Lan grumbled, clearly displeased by Levi’s curt and straightforward response.

He hadn’t even bothered to offer thanks for the compliment. Although the praise wasn't from a sincere place, Wei-Lan disliked being disregarded.

Nevertheless, the indelible memory of Levi’s recent accomplishments in the event halted his irritation. Taking a deep breath, Wei-Lan let the matter rest, acknowledging that Levi’s reputation had indeed transcended Earth’s boundaries.

This meant Levi could align himself with influential Noble Houses and make those who dared oppose him deeply regret their actions.

"Rescheduling while dealing with a Bishop?" Wei-Lan chuckled wryly, "At least he’s being unpleasant to both of us."

Without a second thought, Wei-Lan forwarded the D-mail to Bishop Va’ren, fully aware it would not be well-received.

Unbeknownst to Wei-Lan, Bishop Va’ren was indifferent to Levi’s perceived disrespect in rescheduling their agreed-upon date. The moment the message arrived, Va’ren responded with a simple thumbs-up, issuing no further commands.

It was evident that Bishop Va’ren felt immense relief knowing Levi still aligned with his objectives; for the time being, that was sufficient.

Twelve Boundless Days Later...

Levi and his companions had successfully established themselves within Jasmine’s domain, growing accustomed to their secluded, paradise-like existence. They had erected various structures around their dwellings, transforming the area into a small, self-contained community featuring a training facility, a gymnasium, a communal dining area, and more.

As Jasmine maintained strict control over her territory, no outsider could gain entry without her explicit consent. Even merchant caravans and similar groups were denied passage through her lands.

Lacking any official communication from the territory’s proprietor, the area had earned a fitting moniker within the Ninth Sky Province: The Deserted Kingdom.

Through their network and extensive research, Levi and the others discovered that Jasmine’s territory had been officially registered under an unknown owner for over a million years. The method by which this ownership was acquired remained unrecorded. However, they did uncover that the territory had historically been uninhabitable throughout its existence.

This revelation prompted the women to inquire further about Jasmine’s origins, yet she consistently feigned ignorance.

Concurrently, Levi dedicated the majority of his time to perfecting the method for releasing the Omnithar Genie.

He had invested considerable effort, to the point where the necessary code was complete. However, he still encountered significant difficulty in achieving emotional detachment from the connection.

Currently, he was perched atop a branch of a Redwood-like tree, hundreds of kilometers distant from their nascent town. The tree boasted magnificent autumn-brown foliage, rustling in the breeze as Levi muttered to himself.

"Time is dwindling, and I haven’t even imparted the Valence Cipher to the Omnithar. What kind of melody could possibly forge and sever my connection simultaneously… the very logic is paradoxical."

Levi had explored numerous creative avenues, resulting in the development of several new melodies, each possessing a distinct and potent effect; some even offered temporary enhancements to his capabilities.

Despite these efforts, he had yet to devise the specific Melody/Technique he required. He had even attempted to integrate other Aspects into the melody, all without success.

"Only three days remain before the wish expires. Should I concede defeat and pursue alternative strategies for the future?" Levi pondered inwardly. "I truly do not wish to forfeit this opportunity, yet the thought of sacrificing one of my three souls during the contract’s execution is abhorrent."

Levi recognized that the appointed meeting was imminent, presenting the opportune moment to utilize the wish for its intended purpose. However, he had invested too much effort into this endeavor to abandon it now.

’Wait a moment… the other souls.’

Suddenly, Levi perceived the world falling into silence as an idea struck him with the force of a lightning bolt…

’What if I were to play the melody while transferring my consciousness to the Void Soul?’

Levi recognized his own tunnel vision in tackling this problem; he was fixated on the Melody itself, attempting to achieve two conflicting objectives.

However, by transferring his consciousness to the Void Soul and then playing the Melody, he could potentially perceive the Omnithar’s emotional wavelengths without eliciting any direct response!

It presented an ideal synergy, one he felt he should have considered much earlier. Yet, he then understood why the notion had remained elusive.

’Damn… it remains as heavily corrupted as I left it.’

Levi wore a wry smile as he entered his spiritual leywell and observed the Void Soul; it was as dark as a bottomless abyss, resembling a drifting shadow.

"If you proceed, be prepared to absorb some of that corruption into your primary soul," Ash’Kral cautioned lazily, "Assuming you can even return."

"..." Levi remained silent.

The overwhelming corruption of the Void soul, a consequence of his own debt from the Ashora Empire’s Expedition, always prompted him to steer clear. Yet, its mere appearance now instilled a slight fear, an understanding that prolonged integration with his consciousness could easily obliterate his true identity.

The dreadful emptiness experienced during the Void Form and its lingering effects remained unforgettable.

"What about the Sun soul?"

Levi diverted his attention to the golden, shimmering soul on the far right, contemplating. While it retained a degree of purity compared to the Void Soul, Levi recognized this as a deceptive facade.

"It may not match the Void Soul's efficacy," Ash’Kral confirmed, "but it is far superior in managing an Omnithar’s emotions than your own soul."

After a moment of consideration, Levi nodded, resolute. He chose the Sun soul, accepting that minor corruption from Sun Laws would be far less detrimental than utilizing an already completely corrupted Void Soul.

Giving up on the matter? Absolutely not. He was determined to uncover the Omnithar's motives and its connection to his Lantern's freedom.

...

Sometime later, within Levi’s private domain in the Boundless Void.

Levi summoned the Omnithar, which answered immediately, its cosmic, overwhelming form eclipsing all surroundings.

"Are you certain about this within the Boundless Expanse?" the Titan inquired, frowning. "Nocturn is ever-vigilant..."

"I intend only to converse with the Omnithar, not to liberate it," Levi responded.

Levi was no fool; releasing the Omnithar in the Boundless Expanse under Nocturn's scrutiny was unthinkable. He understood that even if he circumvented the system's alarms, Nocturn would inevitably detect his actions. However, a mere conversation? He doubted Nocturn possessed sufficient free time to monitor such an event.

Shortly after, Levi dedicated the next five minutes to explaining the Valence Cipher to the Omnithar. He termed it such because 'Valence' in psychology refers to the intrinsic positivity or negativity of an event or emotion; when integrated into a code, it allowed for shifts between these poles, thus creating a rudimentary language.

Though the language itself was basic, the underlying code was anything but. It was extraordinarily intricate, demanding meticulous attention to detail and a deity-like command over one's emotions.

Nevertheless, the Omnithar Genie comprehended it the instant Levi concluded his explanation, confirming its understanding with a slight inclination of its head.

Observing this, Levi drew a deep breath and stated, "Do not view me differently after this..."

Without hesitation, Levi shifted his consciousness to the Sun Soul. The transformation was instantaneous and dazzling!

His ethereal green hair transformed into glowing liquid gold, emitting a faint internal heat. A golden, luminous tattoo appeared on his chest and forehead, searing through his clothes before he could even exhale.

It was as if his Divine Sun Skin activated spontaneously upon shifting to the Sun Soul. The remarkable aspect was that the transformation proceeded despite his location in the Boundless Expanse, devoid of natural sunlight.

While direct sunlight would amplify his power, the purity of the Sun Soul granted him internal advantages.

As on previous occasions, an aura of absolute solar arrogance radiated from him—a heavy, imposing pride that compelled every nearby soul to recognize him as their supreme overlord.

His demeanor became so imperious that he even regarded the Omnithar before him as less than an ant in the sight of a deity.

Upon sensing his radiating, unparalleled arrogance, the Omnithar flinched. Was it fear, hatred, disgust, or a recollection of the Radians? The emotion remained inscrutable.

Nonetheless, it chose to remain.

Meanwhile, Levi remained silent. With a casual flourish of his hand, he conjured his violin from a swirling mist of shadowy blossoms.

He then settled the instrument upon his shoulder with effortless elegance, lifting his head to face the Omnithar.

"You have been granted a singular chance to exist within my presence," Levi declared, his voice as detached as the glare of the midday sun.

Indifferent to the Genie's lack of response, he adjusted the bow against the strings as if he were entirely alone.

"Reveal everything... do not compel me to squander another moment of my eternity regretting your utter insignificance."

As the final word escaped his lips, Levi commenced playing his violin. His expression was stoic, yet the melodies he produced were anything but.
