Belial unleashed his overwhelming power after learning that Princess Kaelith had escaped thanks to Victoria, who was manipulated by a message from Lucifer Morningstar. Belial was enraged, believing the god Hephaestus was behind the interference. However, Kalindra revealed that Lucifer and Victoria were on the Fifth Floor of the Tower, where a temple housing the power Belial coveted was also located. Seeing an opportunity, Belial hired Kalindra to eliminate Lucifer and retrieve Victoria and Kaelith, offering her an army of demons to aid in her original mission.

Kalindra slowly stepped forward after the agreement had been made.

"I shall take my leave now," she said calmly. "I only came here to inform you of the location of the temple and to see whether the army was ready."

Belial looked at her with his usual calm authority. "You don’t have to worry about anything. My word here is the law. Everyone knows that."

Kalindra nodded slightly. "Then goodbye, Lord Belial. May all your wishes come true."

Belial did not reply. He simply gave a small nod.

Kalindra raised her hand and flicked her finger lightly. Immediately the space in front of her twisted, and a circular portal swirling with dark violet energy appeared.

She turned toward the six companions who had arrived with her. "Everyone, it is time to leave."

Without another word, she stepped inside the portal. One by one, her companions followed quietly behind her, the spearman Arif entering last. Then the portal slowly closed and vanished as if it had never existed.

Silence returned to the battlefield.

Belial watched the space where the portal had disappeared before slowly turning toward his four generals.

"For some reason, my instincts are telling me not to trust that woman," he said quietly.

His gaze moved toward one of them. "Mariz."

The brown-haired Fallen Angel stepped forward immediately. He had sharp black eyes and four large black wings spread behind his back. His tall frame was wrapped in dark armor, and his presence radiated quiet brutality.

He knelt instantly. "Yes, my lord."

Belial’s voice became firm. "Go to the Temple of the Fallen God and make sure that the minion of Hephaestus dies... at any cost."

He paused briefly before continuing. "Also keep an eye on Kalindra. Make sure she keeps her promise."

Belial gestured toward the army behind them. "You may take as many soldiers as you need."

Mariz lowered his head even further. "It will be done, my lord."

Belial then looked toward the other three generals. "You three will keep track of every movement Heaven makes. If you notice anything suspicious, report it to me immediately."

The remaining generals bowed their heads. "As you command."

Belial folded his wings slowly. "I will be going into seclusion for some time. Do not disturb me for trivial matters."

Every Fallen Angel immediately bowed their heads.

In the next moment, Belial vanished. The air where he had stood slowly settled, and for a few seconds the battlefield remained silent.

Then suddenly—

Mariz began laughing.

The other three generals looked at him in confusion. "Why are you laughing?" one of them asked.

Mariz wiped the corner of his eye while grinning. "I’ve been itching for a real battle for a long time, but I haven’t found any worthy opponents. This should finally cure my boredom."

One of the generals crossed his arms. "Do not underestimate your opponent."

Mariz shrugged dismissively. "I’m not worried about that Lucifer or whatever his name is."

A dangerous smile appeared on his face. "What I really want to do... is kill that spearman named Arif."

The others looked at him sharply.

Mariz continued casually, "It doesn’t matter if he’s technically on our side or not. That bastard has been disrespecting me for far too long."

The female general Lamia immediately stepped forward. "You will do no such thing. Lord Belial will kill you if your actions cause him to lose the Fallen God’s legacy."

Mariz waved his hand dismissively. "Relax."

His smile turned sly. "His death will simply be... an accident. Or perhaps I could say that Lucifer killed him, and then I heroically killed Lucifer to avenge him. It will work as long as nobody knows the truth."

Lamia stared at him for a moment before sighing deeply. "You are hopeless."

She rubbed her forehead before speaking again. "Fine. Do whatever you want. But if things go wrong, none of us will save you."

The other two generals nodded in agreement.

Mariz laughed loudly. "I won’t need your help."

He spread his wings proudly. "Just wait and watch. Lord Belial will definitely reward me."

As soon as he finished speaking, he tore open a portal with a slash of dark energy and stepped inside without hesitation. The portal closed behind him.

Lamia shook her head slightly. "He is strong, I admit that, but he is also one of the dumbest people I know."

She folded her arms thoughtfully. "The man who challenged Victoria must either be incredibly strong... or completely insane."

She glanced toward the battlefield. "And since Victoria hasn’t returned yet, it’s clear she was defeated."

Her eyes narrowed slightly. "That alone proves that this Lucifer is dangerous."

The other two generals, Valaris and Inaya, nodded in agreement.

Valaris spoke first. "Let him go. If he fails, he will bear the consequences."

Inaya shrugged lightly. "I never liked that idiot anyway."

Lamia suddenly burst into laughter, and Valaris and Inaya soon joined her. The battlefield slowly echoed with their mocking laughter.

---------

Inside a massive and luxurious hall, space suddenly distorted and a dark portal opened in the center of the room. Six figures stepped out of it—Kalindra and her companions.

The portal closed behind them with a soft ripple, leaving the hall silent again.

The room itself was grand. Tall pillars lined the marble floor, and dim violet lights glowed along the walls. Expensive furniture and long velvet sofas filled the space, giving the entire hall an air of quiet authority.

The group casually walked toward the sofas and sat down.

Arif leaned back heavily and stretched his arms. "Man, that was exhausting. Those Fallen Angel assholes always piss me off for some reason."

The horned demon woman, Isla, glanced toward him calmly. "Let’s tolerate them for a little longer—at least until we get that army."

Before Arif could respond, Kalindra suddenly spoke.

"That’s never going to happen."

Her voice was calm, but the meaning of her words instantly shocked everyone.

The room fell silent.

Her companions looked at each other in confusion.

"A variable I never accounted for has appeared," Kalindra continued quietly. "And it is bad news for all of us."

None of them had ever seen their leader speak like this before. Kalindra was someone who always had a plan—someone who never hesitated.

Yet now... she sounded uncertain.

Elina, the woman with glasses, spoke carefully. "Boss... why are you saying that?"

Arif leaned forward slightly. "Are you talking about that Lucifer guy those Fallen Angels were babbling about? If you think he’s a threat to our plans, do you want me to go take care of him?"

For a moment, Kalindra stayed silent.

Then—

She suddenly burst out laughing.

Loudly. Unrestrained.

Her companions stared at her in shock. They had never seen her laugh like that before.

But just as quickly as the laughter began, it stopped.

Her expression turned serious again.

"Killing Lucifer?" she said slowly. "You people don’t even understand what kind of anolmaly that guy is."

The dragon-kin boy, Theon, tilted his head slightly. "You seem to know a lot about him, boss."

Kalindra paused briefly before answering quietly. "Let’s just say... he is an acquaintance of mine."

Roman crossed his arms. "So what do you want us to do?"

Kalindra thought for a moment before speaking again.

"Arif. Roman. Elina."

The three immediately looked at her.

"You will enter the fifth floor of the Tower immediately. There are still two days left before the trial ends."

Elina adjusted her glasses. "What exactly are we supposed to do there?"

"Enter the temple and search for the legacy of the Fallen God," Kalindra replied calmly. "I doubt our minions there will be of any use now that Lucifer has appeared, so you three will replace them. Secure the legacy."

They nodded immediately.

Kalindra reached into her sleeve and pulled out a small mirror before handing it to Elina.

"You will be able to communicate with me through this mirror, but only use it in emergencies. It consumes too much divinity."

Elina studied the mirror carefully.

Kalindra continued, "But it is not just for communication. The moment you find the legacy... break the mirror."

Her voice lowered slightly. "And I will take care of the rest."

They nodded again.

Arif suddenly spoke. "What about that Lucifer guy?"

Kalindra looked directly at him. "No matter what happens, do not engage him in combat."

Arif frowned. "But what if fighting him becomes unavoidable?"

A brief pause followed.

"Then go for the kill," Kalindra replied calmly. "Your lives are more important."

Arif grinned. "Now that’s what I wanted to hear."

Kalindra stood up. "Alright. Meeting dismissed. Return to your assigned tasks."

The group stood up immediately and left the hall one by one.

Soon the massive room was empty.

Only Kalindra remained.

Slowly, she reached up and removed her hood. Long purple hair fell across her shoulders, and her grey eyes shimmered faintly under the dim light.

Her face was breathtakingly beautiful, with sharp features and pale skin that almost seemed to glow against the darkness of the room. She looked both elegant and dangerous.

Then—

Another figure started forming infront of her.

The woman looked exactly the same: same purple hair, same grey eyes, same face.

The only difference was her expression.

This version of her wore a wide, playful smile.

"So," the woman said cheerfully, leaning forward slightly, "what are you going to do now, Char? Looks like you’re going to cross paths with him soon."

Kalindra’s eyes narrowed. "I didn’t give you permission to come out."

The identical woman shrugged lazily. "I was just curious."

Her smile widened. "I wanted to see how you’re going to handle this situation. Will you give up like before... or will you finally fight?"

Charlotte remained silent for a moment before answering coldly.

"It changes nothing."

Her grey eyes darkened slightly. "No matter who stands in my way this time... they will die."

She paused briefly.

"Alex will not be an exception."

The identical woman burst into laughter, the sound sharp and fearless.

"Of course not," she said confidently. "We didn’t come all this way just to turn back now. No matter what happens, we’re seeing this through to the end."

She stepped closer and whispered playfully, "So whenever you feel yourself becoming weak against him... just let your desires run wild."

Her smile turned dangerous.

"I will take care of everything."

The next moment—

She disappeared.

The room fell silent again.

Charlotte stood alone.

After a long moment, she whispered quietly to herself,

"Let’s just hope... that day never comes."
