Wang Dongdong shared a similar suspicion.
While utilizing QQ, a nagging feeling started to bother him. Pondering it further, he began to persuade Mo Bei earnestly, “I understand your admiration for Almighty K, and that you’d go to great lengths for them. However, you must also consider how astute Almighty K is. Wouldn’t they see through your act of playing hard to get?”
Mo Bei, who had been gazing out the window with her chin propped in her hand, lightly tapped her fingers against her cheek upon hearing his words. “Me? Playing hard to get?”
It was a simple gesture, yet it exuded an undeniable elegance when performed by her.
Wang Dongdong paused, finding Unpopular to be subtly different now.
He couldn’t quite pinpoint the change.
All he perceived was a comforting aura emanating from this person.
Comfortable?
How could that be?
He must have woken up too early and his judgment was impaired!
He’d be fortunate if Unpopular didn’t cause any further trouble.
Shaking off the strange feeling, Wang Dongdong adopted a serious tone. “If not playing hard to get, then what is it? You deliberately threw the poster away where Almighty K could see it, hoping to make a new impression, right? Even if you deny it, I can understand.”
Mo Bei responded, “Everything you understand is merely your imagination.”
“Seriously, idol. You need to stop this. If you stir up more trouble, the company will definitely terminate your contract. I’m pleading with you, even if you like Almighty K, please keep it within your heart!”
Mo Bei’s voice was calm as she replied, “You seem to have misunderstood. I don’t like them.”
Wang Dongdong scoffed. “Don’t like them? Are you suggesting everyone is blind? Have you conveniently forgotten your past actions?”
Mo Bei raised an eyebrow, her reply even-toned. “Why don’t you enumerate my past actions?”
Finally, a chance to vent! Wang Dongdong proceeded to detail every transgression, from sneaking backstage to their attention-seeking antics and perceived dissolute behavior.
Once finished, Wang Dongdong questioned imperiously, “Do you have anything else to say?”
“Nothing.”
Indeed, nothing more. Mo Bei’s gaze shifted sideways; those people were undeniably formidable.
“Then restrain yourself. Stop bothering Almighty K.” Wang Dongdong, still quite vocal, continued his tirade even after they had alighted and entered the building.
Mo Bei, having grasped the entirety of the situation, looked up coolly. “Okay.”
Wang Dongdong was inexplicably taken aback by this simple word. When had Unpopular become so compliant? In the past, advice was always met with feigned deafness.
What was different today?
The day had already been surreal for Wang Dongdong, leaving him slightly dizzy. As he watched the slender figure walk toward the school, a new realization struck him: Unpopular hadn’t concocted an excuse to skip class!
A miracle! It was nothing short of a miracle!
Conversely, Mo Bei didn’t give it much thought. As a high school student, attending school was naturally the priority.
However, when she appeared at the classroom door, clad in a suit blazer and carrying a backpack, the prevailing chatter instantly ceased!
Mo Bei’s naturally apathetic demeanor lent itself perfectly to the image of an aloof, handsome youth, a type often favored by young girls.
Furthermore, the suit blazer amplified her aura of detached perfection.
At that moment, the prevailing sentiment among the onlookers was sheer awe!
“Who is that? So incredibly handsome!”
“Is that a new teacher?”
“With a teacher like that, my mother wouldn’t need to worry about my math grades anymore.”
“Wait, I don't think that’s a teacher. Look at where they're sitting!”
“Mo, Mo Nan?”
How could this possibly be true?
