The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2704: The path ahead
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
There were many reasons for Cain to march into the Emptiness, but there were just as many reasons why doing so would be incredibly dangerous. The main one was that he could not afford to lose himself in that vast expanse.
Although it was true that Adam would not be able to attack the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe anytime soon, the Emptiness presented dangers of its own. It could trap Cain for thousands of years, perhaps even longer, or force him into a battle that damaged the foundation of his body and soul. If that happened, entering the Emptiness would accomplish the exact opposite of what he needed.
Cain might never have entered the Emptiness himself, but he had seen the memories of the Ancestor of the Root. He knew that the Emptiness was a place filled with unimaginable wonders, ancient treasures, and opportunities beyond anything found within the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.
However, it was also a place filled with horrors.
With the Emptiness temporarily removed from his consideration, Cain naturally lowered his gaze.
"Paradise."
His voice carried a deep solemnity.
Paradise was a Super Universe whose level surpassed even the ancient Tenth Empyrean Suns Universe and the Crimson World by leagues and bounds. It was a realm containing multiple Fourth Realm Life Forms, along with treasures that could potentially strengthen Cain’s current existence and elevate his power to another level.
More importantly, Paradise contained something Cain desperately wanted.
His Royal Blutlinie Body.
If he could retrieve it and fuse it with his current form, the resulting transformation could push his strength even further. After reaching the Fourth Realm, Cain had realized that the fusion of his different Paths and bloodlines had given him unprecedented potential. Adding the Royal Blutlinie Body to that foundation might not cause a transcendental transformation, but would definitely improve the might of his Omega Horizon Force.
Yet the moment the idea of marching into Paradise crossed his mind, Cain’s instincts began screaming.
A profound sense of doom spread through his heart.
A deep frown appeared on the Scarlet King’s face as he placed a hand against his chest.
Paradise was undoubtedly dangerous, and he had many enemies there who wanted nothing more than to kill him, but Cain was no longer the same existence he had been in the past. He was a Fourth Realm Life Form, and not an ordinary one. He could harmonize multiple Fourth Realm Forces simultaneously, something even most Fourth Realm beings would struggle to accomplish.
Although he had only fought Incarnations of the Sacred Kings of Chaos and Order, Cain was confident that his current battle prowess would not place him far behind them.
And yet, the feeling remained.
It was not fear.
It was instinct.
Entering Paradise now would be like walking directly into the maw of a terrifying monster.
"If I march into Paradise now..."
Cain’s eyes narrowed.
"I will not return. At least, not anytime soon."
The moment those words left his mouth, his thoughts naturally turned toward his brother, Noah.
There was no lost love between the two of them. Their relationship had always been complicated, shaped by countless misunderstandings, opposing decisions, and the tendency of his brother to manipulate the destiny of those around him.
Still, Cain carried a debt of gratitude toward Noah.
Without his intervention, the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe might have fallen before Cain ever had the chance to return to it.
However, that concern did not last long.
When it came to schemes and long-term plans, Cain knew that even he could not compete with his Neo Primarch brother. If Noah had managed to survive and establish himself within Paradise, Cain doubted that the beings there could easily deal with him.
"Ahhh..."
Cain released a long sigh.
He had never been afraid of danger, and more than once he had turned a trap into a lucky chance.
But he could not afford to begin another saga before settling his business with Adam. The King of the Tenth Empyrean World remained the greatest threat facing the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, and Cain needed to be ready when their paths inevitably crossed again.
After several seconds, Cain’s gaze moved upward toward the distant Crimson World.
The ordinary layers of the massive tower held little value for him anymore. However, at its highest level, beyond Origin Island, there waited someone whose power might very well surpass his own.
"The Red King."
The mere thought caused a serious expression to emerge on Cain’s face.
His comprehension and control over the Flow were now high enough that he could enter Origin Island, yet once again, his instincts reacted.
Just like with Paradise, something deep within his existence warned him that this was not the correct path.
Cain clenched his fists.
Every path he considered seemed to end in the same place.
A death road.
He needed to heal his body and soul. He needed to recover his strength and, more importantly, increase his power before Adam returned with his true body.
Yet every possible path carried risks that could prevent him from responding to a threat against the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.
For the first time since reaching the Fourth Realm, Cain felt genuinely frustrated.
Just as that frustration began to boil within him, however, he felt something soft touch his hand.
Cain turned his head.
Meylin was standing beside him, looking at him with a tender smile.
The moment Cain met the eyes of the True Depravita of Hope, a wave of tranquility washed over his entire existence.
The frustration disappeared.
The worries about the future faded.
The dangers remained. The threats remained. The countless paths before him were still filled with uncertainty.
But the useless thoughts vanished.
Cain’s expression slowly relaxed.
"I will find a way."
Those words carried neither arrogance nor empty confidence.
They carried purpose.
They carried conviction.
No matter how many obstacles stood before him, Cain would find a path through them. No matter how many tribulations awaited him, he would overcome them. If the universe could no longer provide him with what he needed, then he would search beyond it.
And if every path ended in a death road, he would carve out a new road with his own hands.
Cain turned around and looked toward the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance.
They had remained silent throughout his thoughts, patiently waiting for their leader to speak.
Cain’s eyes began to glow with scarlet flames.
Then, slowly, a radiant smile appeared on his face.
"There are dangers ahead. Enemies to face. Horrors we will have to overcome."
His voice spread through the void, reaching every warrior present.
"But today..."
Cain raised his right hand toward the sky.
"...we celebrate."
The warriors stared at him.
"We defeated Nito."
The scarlet flames within Cain’s eyes burned brighter.
"And we expelled the forces of the Tenth Empyrean World from our home."
His voice suddenly thundered across the battlefield.
"We won!"
For a moment, silence remained.
Then—
"AHHHHHHH!"
An eruption of cheers exploded through the void.
The warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance raised their weapons and fists toward the sky, their voices merging into a deafening roar that spread across the battlefield.
Scarlet light illuminated their eyes.
Their bodies were exhausted.
Their souls were wounded.
Many had suffered injuries that would require years to recover from, and the war itself was far from over.
But none of that mattered in this moment.
They had won.
The Tenth Empyrean World had been driven from their home.
Nito had fallen.
Their enemies had been defeated.
The war was not over, but this battle belonged to them.
And for the first time in a long time, the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe allowed themselves to celebrate a true and lasting victory.
There were many, many things to do, but Cain knew how important this moment was for his people. He waved his hand, and immediately a golden force enveloped all of them, allowing their bodies to turn into streaks of golden light.
In a matter of seconds, they found themselves within the Golden Hall. Many people had been waiting for them, those who had the courage but lacked the power to be part of the last fight.
Seeing the faces of their friends and loved ones, the sense of thrill in the hearts of the great warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance only grew stronger as the headquarters burst into cheers.
