Cain confronts the King of the Tenth Empyrean World, who reveals himself to be Adam, the Forefather of Humankind. Adam admits to committing terrible acts throughout history, including betraying allies and altering civilizations, all to prevent greater bloodshed and preserve his people. Despite his past actions, he now intends to fight Cain and his allies to achieve his vision of reforging the universe.

Adam’s words contained no lies, no deception, and no self-righteous explanations. The Forefather of the Godslayer Humankind, the man who had once been a beacon of hope for the Six Sacred Races during the Great War billions of years ago, had now made it perfectly clear that he intended to kill them all.

Adam had chosen his side.

And for him, it was a zero-sum game.

For the Curse Eaters of the Tenth Empyrean World to live and prosper, the Godslayer Humankind, and every other sentient life form inhabiting the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe had to perish. There was no room for compromise in his vision of unification. Their survival and the survival of his people had become mutually exclusive.

Cain listened to those words with a calm expression on his face.

There was no disappointment, no pain, and not even surprise in his eyes.

Adam had chosen his side a long time ago. The extermination of the Godslayer Humankind and every other civilization in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe was simply the price he had decided to pay for unification and the restoration of the Curse Eater Race.

Of course, the fact that Cain had expected those words did not mean he would accept them quietly.

"You are right..."

The Scarlet King’s voice grew colder as the Omega Horizon Eye upon his forehead began to glow with an ominous darkness.

"The extermination of the enemy is the key to peace and prosperity."

As soon as those words echoed across the void, Cain extended his right hand once more.

The dark scarlet spears suspended above the battlefield immediately began to tremble. Their surface rippled with terrifying power as countless strands of Omega Horizon Force gathered around their tips, and then the weapons began descending toward the Curse Eaters once more.

The immense pressure radiating from Adam’s red eyes still interfered with its movement, preventing the spear from falling at its original speed. It was as if an invisible force was pushing against the weapon, slowing its descent through space itself.

But that was not truly a problem.

The Curse Eaters were still completely suppressed by Cain’s Fourth Realm aura. Their bodies remained unable to move, their souls trembling beneath the overwhelming pressure of an existence that had surpassed the boundaries of their understanding.

The spear continued to descend.

Adam’s red eyes followed its movement.

His power was immense, but projecting it across such an enormous distance inevitably diminished its effectiveness. Even for a Fourth Realm existence, distance mattered when attempting to directly interfere with another Fourth Realm life form.

It seemed that stopping Cain’s attack through raw force alone would be difficult.

Therefore, Adam chose another path.

The red eyes shifted toward Cain, and the light within them changed. A terrifying intent filled with killing intent spread across the battlefield, causing countless warriors to feel their hearts tighten.

"If you keep pushing things," Adam said, his voice echoing throughout the void, "then I will have no other choice but to move into the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe with my true body right now."

When the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe heard those words, their hearts trembled.

Adam was not merely another powerful enemy.

He was a mythical figure, the mightiest hero of the First Era, the Forefather whose name had been revered for billions of years. If he truly crossed the barrier separating the Tenth Empyrean World from the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe and descended with his true body, the resulting catastrophe would be unimaginable.

Yet at the same time, questions immediately began to arise in the minds of the warriors.

If Adam could cross the barrier, why had he never done so before?

Why had he gone through the trouble of sending his subordinates and projections instead of simply descending personally?

As if reading their thoughts, Adam continued.

"My power is so immense that even if the Universe Will is dormant, it will still react to my presence. However, after reaching the Fourth Realm, you must understand that a Universe Will can be defeated."

Cain did not stop pushing the spear downward.

Nevertheless, he solemnly nodded at Adam’s explanation.

There was no deception in those words.

At his current level, Cain could understand enough about the difference in power between Fourth Realm life forms and a Universe Will to recognize that Adam was telling the truth.

"I do not want to damage the foundation of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe," Adam continued. "It is important for unification, but I will do it if I am given no other choice."

A cold shudder crossed the hearts of the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe as they considered the implications.

If Adam truly crossed into their home with his true body, the universe itself would tremble beneath his arrival. That alone could cause catastrophic damage to the foundation of their universe, potentially leading to the deaths of countless beings regardless of who ultimately emerged victorious.

And while Cain was powerful enough to confront the mythical figure before him, everyone could see his current condition.

He had just endured a battle against the Incarnation of the Samsara Lord, one that had pushed him to the absolute limit and left his body and reserves severely depleted.

A battle against Adam right now would be anything but wise.

Leonidas and the other members of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance’s higher echelon glanced at one another. After a moment, they quietly sighed before turning their gazes toward the Scarlet King.

They did not need to speak.

Cain understood their meaning.

Destroying the Curse Eaters right now could potentially save their lives by preventing another war from breaking out in the future. Yet the price was simply too high.

The risk to Cain and, equally importantly, the risk to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe itself was something they could not accept.

Cain felt the gazes of his generals.

After a brief moment, he lowered his hand.

The spear of scarlet darkness immediately froze in place, no longer descending toward the Curse Eaters.

The battlefield fell silent.

Cain remained expressionless as he stared at Adam’s red eyes. His face revealed nothing, making it impossible to determine exactly what was moving through his mind.

For the warriors watching from behind him, however, the conclusion seemed obvious.

Adam had forced the Scarlet King to stop.

If this were a traditional exchange between enemies, then the first confrontation between the two had seemingly been won by the King of the Tenth Empyrean World.

Or so it would have been.

A second later, the Scarlet King’s expression suddenly changed.

A wide smile slowly spread across his face, revealing a killing intent so profound that even the surrounding void seemed to tremble.

Cain’s eyes burned brighter.

Then, without saying another word, he pushed both hands forward.

The frozen spear of scarlet darkness erupted with renewed force.

The red eyes could not conceal the flash of shock that appeared within them when they realized the Scarlet King was willing to continue. Cain’s smile grew brighter as he caught that brief expression of surprise in Adam’s eyes.

Of course, Cain was not a madman. He understood perfectly well that confronting the fully powered King of the Tenth Empyrean World in his current condition would be dangerous, to say the least. However, Cain did not believe Adam would come.

Not because of any concern for the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, but because he simply could not.

After reaching the Fourth Realm, Cain had become painfully aware of just how difficult it was for a Fourth Realm life form to recover from injuries, especially wounds that reached the very foundation of one’s path. Adam might have killed Anark, but Cain was willing to bet his life that his brother had not fallen without first severely injuring the Forefather of Godslayer Humankind.

The dark spear continued its descent, moving closer and closer toward the Curse Eaters, its terrifying power ready to erase them from existence.

Both the Curse Eaters and the warriors of the Six Sacred Races glanced toward the enormous red eyes. The former desperately clung to them as their final hope of salvation, while the latter dreaded the consequences of Adam’s arrival.

"Argh..."

Finally, a long sigh echoed across the battlefield.

The red eyes stared toward Cain, and this time, a flash of approval and respect could be seen within them.

"Well done, young man. You called my bluff. Moving into the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe right now would be... complicated."

Those words sent a wave of relief through the warriors of the Six Sacred Races while plunging the Curse Eaters into despair.

Yet before either emotion could settle, the red eyes began to glow once more.

"However, you do not live as long as I have without having a few moves under your sleeve."

A trace of amusement was embedded within those words.

Then, reality began to tremble.

The Universe Matrix manifested.

Cain immediately clenched his fists. He no longer focused on the descending spear, instead directing all his power toward his own body.

He was familiar with this power.

The ability to summon and wield the might of the universe itself.

It was the power of Chaos and Order.
