"Second Gear!"
Cain roared those words with every ounce of power left in his body, and the moment they echoed across the battlefield, his heartbeat erupted like the drum of a primordial war god. The sound traveled through space, through energy, through the laws of the Fallen Empyrean World, forcing all existence around him to tremble in rhythm with it.
His heart became a vortex.
Cosmic force and world energy surged toward it, drawn into the center of his existence before being expelled through every cell of his body. Scarlet-gold plasma erupted from his flesh like raging flames, while Tyranus Gungnir vibrated in his grasp as if the spear itself was struggling to contain the might pouring through it.
Then Cain vanished.
"Where did he go!?" Nito’s eyes widened, and the Samsara Eye immediately released waves of dark-purple plasma as the Curse Eater forced his perception to the absolute limit.
He managed to raise his arm at the last instant, blocking the spearhead aimed at his skull, yet the moment the impact landed, Cain disappeared again and reappeared behind him, driving the other end of Tyranus Gungnir into his spine.
The blow shattered bones, tore through flesh, and sent Samsara Force scattering across the sky.
Nito roared and spun around, attempting to counter with a palm strike carrying the force of reincarnation, but Cain was already gone. The Scarlet King appeared above him, then below him, then to his side, his every movement dragging the sky and the earth with him as though the universe itself had become a weapon in his hands.
The rampage was overwhelming.
Every swing of Tyranus Gungnir carried the fused powers of Entropy, Nihility, and Quietus, and propelled beyond reason by the Second Gear.
Nito blocked one strike with the Samsara Wheel, only for Cain to appear at his flank and pierce through his ribs. He parried another with a fist wreathed in dark-purple plasma, only for the spear to twist in a manner that defied martial logic and carve open his shoulder.
The Curse Eater even attempted to phase through a strike using the Realm of Empty Spirits, but the Quietus-laced edge still severed part of his essence, forcing blood to burst from his mouth.
The heavens shattered above them.
The earth trembled beneath them.
Every collision produced shockwaves that spread across continents, collapsing mountains, opening chasms, and tearing apart the clouds as if the entire Fallen Empyrean World was on the verge of breaking under the weight of their battle.
The Curse Eaters of the Tenth Empyrean World could not hide the dread that invaded their hearts as they witnessed the might unleashed by the Scarlet King.
They were warriors of an Apex Race, victors of the Great War billions of years ago, and their civilization had only grown stronger since then. Yet now, in a universe they had once looked down upon, they were seeing power that defied all reason.
And it was not only Cain.
In the distance, Meylin continued forcing back the Storm of the Root again and again, the Flame of Hope surrounding Longinus like a starlight sun as every slash purified and consumed enormous masses of corrupted flesh.
The abomination roared and regenerated with terrifying vitality, but it was retreating under the pressure of an enemy that could truly restrain it.
The sight filled the Curse Eaters with disbelief.
The Nine Empyrean Suns Universe was not supposed to possess such monsters.
It was supposed to be prey.
A damaged universe.
A battlefield already weakened by the Root.
Yet the Scarlet King and the True Depravita of Hope now stood like twin pillars capable of holding back the strongest cards of the Tenth Empyrean World.
Cain did not notice those gazes.
To him, the battlefield had vanished.
Sound disappeared.
Color disappeared.
Even pain became distant.
All that remained was Nito.
The Second Gear of the Fourth Realm Asura Form was a power his Royal Blutlinie Body could barely endure, and it was absolutely not something his Primordial Body had been designed to withstand. If not for the Samsara Immortal Constitution and the insane endurance of his Primordial Body, he would have already torn himself apart from the inside.
Even so, he was reaching his limit.
His muscles split with every movement, his bones cracked beneath every burst of speed, and his Primordial Essence trembled under the pressure of channeling a power that stood beyond its current realm. Purple runes flashed across his flesh, healing only the damage that would immediately kill him, while the rest accumulated without pause.
Still, Cain did not stop.
He could not stop.
This was the opening he had been searching for.
After another devastating barrage, Nito’s body finally stiffened for a fraction of a second. The damage was too great, the Samsara Eye was straining too hard, and even his terrifying adaptability could not erase every wound at once.
Cain seized that instant.
His Wings of Chaos expanded behind him, spreading across the sky like a scarlet ocean, and the will and battle intent of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe surged into him.
Tyranus Gungnir rose in his hands as the power of the universe converged upon its tip, gathering until the entire battlefield was bathed in holy light.
Cain’s eyes burned with absolute determination.
"Chaos of Mythology: Spear of Destiny!"
The words became law.
The spear reached its zenith.
Then Cain descended.
He became a beam of scarlet-gold judgment, piercing through the sky with enough force to make every warrior on the battlefield feel their soul tremble.
Nito attempted to raise the Samsara Wheel, attempted to channel the Samsara Eye, attempted to force his body to move, but he was a fraction too late.
Tyranus Gungnir pierced his chest.
The spear tore through his heart, shattered his sternum, and carried him downward like a meteor.
The two crashed into the ground with catastrophic force.
The Fallen Empyrean World shook.
A pillar of destruction erupted from the impact zone, rising into the heavens as the surrounding land collapsed inward. Shockwaves rolled across the battlefield, forcing both Alliance warriors and Curse Eaters to halt their battles and turn toward the center of the devastation.
